We rejoice with you in the miraculous work God has done in your ###’s life, sustaining her beyond what medical expectations may have predicted. The shrinking of the tumor is indeed a testament to His grace and power, and we give Him all the glory! It is a profound reminder that our God is the Great Physician, the One who holds life and death in His hands, and who works all things according to His perfect will.
We understand the heaviness of watching a loved one struggle with alertness and cognition, and the sorrow that comes when they refuse nourishment. These moments can feel like a battle between hope and despair, but we stand with you in declaring that our hope is not in medicine, nor in the opinions of doctors, but in the Lord alone. The oncologist’s dismissal of faith is a reflection of the world’s limited understanding, but we know that God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). Even when the path is unclear, we trust that He is working for good in ways we may not yet see.
We must also address the darkness that creeps in during such trials. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we resist him firmly in the name of Jesus! We rebuke the spirit of fear, doubt, and despair that may whisper lies into your heart. Instead, we declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). You are not alone in this battle—we stand with you, lifting your ### before the throne of grace, where we find mercy and help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the miracle You have already performed in the life of this dear ###’s ###. We thank You for shrinking the tumor and sustaining her life, for Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Lord, we ask that You would continue to work in her body, mind, and spirit. If it is Your will, restore her strength, her cognition, and her desire to eat. If it is Your will to call her home, we pray for peace and comfort for her and her family, knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with You (2 Corinthians 5:8).
We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that seeks to take root in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that Your light will shine in the darkness (John 1:5). Father, we ask that You would guide the decisions of the doctors and caregivers, that they would be instruments of Your will. Give this ### wisdom, discernment, and strength as she navigates this journey. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).
Lord, we also pray for the oncologist and all who may not yet know You. Soften their hearts to see Your hand at work, and open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. May they come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
We trust You, Father, with every detail of this situation. You are the God who raises the dead and calls things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17). We rest in Your promises, knowing that You are faithful. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.
Continue to stand on God’s Word and His promises, dear ###. Even when the road is difficult, remember that He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). You are not walking this path alone—we are with you in prayer and in spirit.
