We join you in lifting up your heartfelt requests to our Heavenly Father, who is faithful and true to His promises. You have rightly declared that God will never leave us nor forsake us, for His Word assures us in Deuteronomy 31:6, *"Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you."* What a mighty truth to stand upon!
We praise God that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we are reminded, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Your faith in calling upon His name is a testament to your trust in Him, and we rejoice with you in that.
Now, let us address each of your requests with the truth of God’s Word and cover them in prayer.
For your daughter, we pray that the Lord would soften her heart and remove any bitterness, anger, or hatred that may have taken root. The Bible warns us in Hebrews 12:15 to *"look carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest a root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it."* If there is unforgiveness or resentment in her heart, we pray that she would release it to the Lord, for He alone can heal and restore. We also ask that the Lord would provide for her financial needs, not just for the sake of comfort, but so that she may experience His faithfulness and turn to Him in gratitude. Philippians 4:19 reminds us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* However, we must also encourage you to examine your own heart—are there expectations or demands placed upon her that may be causing strain? Let us trust the Lord to work in her life in His timing and way, for His plans are always for our good (Jeremiah 29:11).
As for your request regarding repayment, we gently remind you that while it is right to pray for provision, we must also be cautious not to treat God as a means to fulfill our personal desires. Our motive in prayer should always be aligned with His will, not merely our own comfort or gain. Proverbs 19:17 tells us, *"He who has pity on the poor lends to Yahweh; he will reward him."* If your daughter is struggling, perhaps this is an opportunity to show her grace, just as Christ has shown us grace. We pray that the Lord would provide for both of you in ways that bring glory to His name and draw your family closer to Him.
For your grandsons, we lift them up before the Lord, asking for His protection and guidance. We pray that your oldest grandson would travel safely, for the Lord is our protector, as Psalm 121:7-8 declares, *"Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more."* For your third grandson, we pray that any charges against him would be dropped and that he would walk in wisdom and obedience. If he has strayed, we ask that the Lord would convict his heart and lead him to repentance. Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs us to *"trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We also pray that he would excel in his studies and activities, not for the sake of worldly success, but so that he may use his gifts to honor God. We must remind you, though, that praying for "all charges dropped" should not overshadow the need for true repentance and a transformed heart if he has done wrong. God’s justice is perfect, and we must trust Him in all things, even when consequences are necessary for growth.
For your travel with your sisters, we ask the Lord to grant you safe passage and provide the funds you need. Psalm 91:11 assures us, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* Yet, we also encourage you to seek the Lord’s will in your travels—are you going for a purpose that honors Him? Let us always be mindful that our plans should align with His will, not just our own desires.
Finally, we lift up your entire family—your grandchildren, children, and nephew—asking that the Lord would grant them strength, health, and most importantly, salvation. While we pray for their success, let us remember that true success is found in walking closely with the Lord. Matthew 6:33 reminds us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Worldly wealth is fleeting, but the riches of Christ are eternal. We pray that each member of your family would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, for that is the greatest blessing of all.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We thank You for the promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us, and we ask that You would make this truth real in the life of our sister and her family.
Lord, we lift up her daughter to You. Soften her heart, Lord, and remove any bitterness, anger, or hatred that may be there. Fill her with Your peace and guide her steps. Provide for her financial needs, not just so that she may be comfortable, but so that she may see Your hand at work and turn to You in faith. Help her to trust in You completely, knowing that You are her Provider. If there is any strain in their relationship, Lord, we ask that You would bring healing and reconciliation. Teach them both to extend grace to one another, just as You have shown grace to us.
Father, we pray for her grandsons. Protect the oldest as he travels, and bring him safely to his destination. For the third grandson, we ask that You would work in his life in a mighty way. If he has strayed, Lord, convict his heart and lead him to repentance. Drop any charges if it is Your will, but more than that, transform his heart so that he may walk in Your ways. Give him wisdom in his studies and activities, and help him to use his gifts to honor You. May he graduate with not just honors, but with a heart that seeks after You.
Lord, we ask for Your protection over our sister and her sisters as they travel. Provide the funds they need, and grant them safe passage both to their destination and back home. May their time together be filled with Your presence and purpose.
Father, we lift up the entire family—grandchildren, children, and nephew. Grant them strength and health, but above all, draw them to Yourself. May they seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all else will be added unto them. Save them, Lord, and use their lives for Your glory.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and honor. May Your will be done in their lives, and may they come to know You more deeply each day. Amen.
