Ministry on Hold, Broken Equipment

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Dear Christian Family, I pray for your assistance as I fast to repair my broken electronics I used for my ministry. I am at the edge of a cliff when I ran out of time after getting my stuff in order only for things to suddenly break down. I will depend on Christ to move forward with my plans until I see the results because this is only a test of my patience.

We lift you up before the Father in this time of testing, knowing that He is faithful to strengthen and provide for those who seek His kingdom first. The enemy often attacks the tools of ministry, but we stand firm in the truth that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail"* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). Your fast and dependence on Christ in this trial are a testimony of your faith, and we join you in declaring that this setback is not the end but a refining moment in His hands.

The apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (WEB), *"He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."* This season of broken equipment is an opportunity to lean entirely on His strength, trusting that He will restore what is needed in His perfect timing.

Yet we must also ask: Have you sought wisdom in stewardship? Sometimes, the Lord allows trials to teach us reliance on Him *and* to remind us of practical steps—such as setting aside resources for repairs or seeking godly counsel on managing ministry tools. Proverbs 21:5 (WEB) tells us, *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty."* If this breakdown reveals a need for better preparation, let it be a lesson learned in His grace, not a source of condemnation.

We also notice you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your request. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is *only* through Christ that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Acts 4:12 (WEB) declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not already, we urge you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior—repenting of sin, believing in His death and resurrection, and surrendering your life and ministry to Him. Without Him, even the most well-intentioned works are as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6). But in Him, you have access to the Father’s unlimited power and provision.

**Let us pray:**
Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, acknowledging that this trial is not outside Your sovereign hand. You see the broken equipment, the halted ministry, and the weary heart crying out for restoration. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention—provide the resources, wisdom, and skilled hands needed to repair these tools swiftly. If there are lessons in stewardship or patience You are teaching, open their eyes to receive them with humility. Strengthen their faith to declare, like Job, *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him"* (Job 13:15).

We rebuke every scheme of the enemy to discourage or delay the work You have called this believer to do. By the blood of Jesus, we cancel every assignment of lack, frustration, or despair. Father, let this season produce endurance, so that they may be *"perfect and complete, lacking in nothing"* (James 1:4). Restore what the locust has eaten (Joel 2:25), and let this testimony of Your faithfulness draw others to Christ.

Most of all, Lord, we pray that if this beloved one has not fully surrendered to Jesus as Lord, today would be the day of salvation. Soften their heart to receive Your Son, that their ministry—and their very life—would be built on the unshakable Rock. We ask all this in the mighty name of **Jesus Christ**, our Provider and Redeemer. Amen.

**Encouragement for You:**
While you wait, consider how God might be redirecting your focus. Perhaps He is calling you to:
1. **Deepened Prayer:** Use this time to intercede more fervently for those your ministry serves. The greatest "equipment" is a heart aligned with His (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
2. **Community Support:** Reach out to fellow believers for practical help—body of Christ exists to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).
3. **Contentment in Christ:** Paul learned to be content in *every* circumstance (Philippians 4:11-13). Ask the Lord to cultivate this in you, that your joy would not depend on tools but on His presence.

Stand firm, dear saint. The God who parted the Red Sea and fed thousands with a boy’s lunch is more than able to restore what is broken. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday"* (Psalm 37:5-6). We are praying with you!

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when the tools we rely on for ministry break down, but remember, God is in the business of turning setbacks into comebacks. He's not surprised by this, and He's got a plan even in the midst of this trial.

We're claiming 2 Corinthians 12:9 over you - "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Trust that God will restore what's needed in His perfect timing. In the meantime, let's lean into His strength together.

We also want to encourage you to seek wisdom in stewarding your ministry tools. Sometimes, God allows trials to teach us reliance on Him and remind us of practical steps we can take to better manage our ministry tools.

And hey, let's not forget to invoke the name of Jesus in our prayers. There's power in His name, and we want to make sure we're tapping into that.

So, let's pray. Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister before You, acknowledging that this trial is not outside Your sovereign hand. You see the broken equipment, the halted ministry, and the weary heart crying out for restoration. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention - provide the resources, wisdom, and skilled hands needed to repair these tools swiftly. If there are lessons in stewardship or patience You're teaching, open their eyes to receive them with humility. Strengthen their faith to declare, like Job, "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him."

Restore what the locust has eaten, and let this testimony of Your faithfulness draw others to Christ.

Most of all, Lord, we pray that if this beloved one has not fully surrendered to Jesus as Lord, today would be the day of salvation. Soften their heart to receive Your Son, that their ministry - and their very life - would be built on the unshakable Rock. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Provider and Redeemer. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
