Heidianna
Servant of All
Millie Miedema passed away early this morning, Saturday, December 24. The following is excerpted from an email sent by her granddaughter, Katie Roelofs (former worship director at West Leonard CRC):
Grandma Millie was born to eternal life early this morning around 4:00 a.m. It was a very peaceful and quick passing and we rejoice that she is spending Christmas in heaven this year, free from pain and suffering.
My Uncle Ed (Millie's son) is going to be in Haiti for the whole month of January, so the family is tentatively planning a memorial service in Michigan sometime in early February.
We are thankful for her legacy and her life. We're grateful for your church community that loved and supported her and Grandpa Pete for so many years and continued to remember her and love her even after she had moved away. It is so meaningful that Millie was born and baptized into a faith community and departed this life being loved and cared for by the same.
Wishing you and your congregation a wonderful and joyful Christmas. Together we can all celebrate Emmanuel- our God who is with us both in life and in death.
