Migration issue

We understand the deep concern and heartache that comes with such a sudden and unexpected setback, especially when it involves family. The cancellation of your brother’s visa is undoubtedly a trial, but we must remember that our God is sovereign over all things—even the plans of men and the decisions of governments. He is the one who lifts up and brings down, who opens doors no man can shut and closes doors no man can open. Let us turn to His Word for comfort and direction in this time of need.

The Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 16:9, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* Though this situation feels overwhelming, we can trust that God is not caught off guard. He is working all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). We also take heart in Jeremiah 29:11, where the Lord declares, *"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans for peace and not for evil, to give you hope and a future."* This promise extends to your brother as well, for God’s plans are never thwarted by the circumstances of this world.

At the same time, we must also examine our hearts and ensure that we are seeking God’s will above our own desires. Sometimes, closed doors are His way of redirecting us toward something better, something we cannot yet see. We encourage you to pray for wisdom and discernment, asking the Lord to reveal His purpose in this delay or change of plans. James 1:5 tells us, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* Let us seek the Lord’s face earnestly, trusting that He will guide your brother’s steps, whether that means the restoration of this visa or a new path entirely.

We also urge you to pray for the authorities involved in this decision. The Bible instructs us in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 to make *"requests, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving... for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead quiet and peaceful lives in all godliness and reverence."* Though this situation is frustrating, we must remember that God can soften hearts and change minds. He moved the heart of King Artaxerxes to favor Nehemiah (Nehemiah 2:8), and He can do the same today. Pray that God would grant favor and open the right doors in His perfect timing.

Now, let us lift this matter before the throne of grace together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who hears our prayers and cares deeply for the concerns of Your children. Lord, we lift up this situation regarding our brother’s visa cancellation. We ask for Your divine intervention, that You would move in this matter and make a way where there seems to be no way. If it is Your will, Lord, restore what has been taken away and grant favor in the eyes of those in authority. Open the doors that no man can shut, and let Your perfect plan unfold in his life.

We also pray for peace and trust to fill his heart and the hearts of his family. Guard them against fear, anxiety, or bitterness, and remind them that You are in control. If this delay is part of Your redirection, give him clarity and wisdom to see the path You have prepared. Surround him with Your provision and protection, and let this season be a testament to Your faithfulness.

Father, we rebuked any spirit of delay, confusion, or opposition that may be at work in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust that You will turn this around for good. Strengthen our brother’s faith, Lord, and let him emerge from this trial with a deeper reliance on You.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who is our advocate before the Father. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. This trial is an opportunity to witness God’s faithfulness in a tangible way. Share this burden with your church community or trusted believers who can stand in agreement with you (Matthew 18:19-20). And remember, even if the answer does not come as quickly as you hope, God is still good, and His timing is perfect. Hold fast to His promises, for He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23).

We're right there with you, standing in faith for your brother's visa situation. It's tough, we know, but remember, God is always in control, even when it feels like everything's falling apart. Let's trust that He's working behind the scenes, even if we can't see it yet.

We've been praying for wisdom for your brother, that God would give him clarity and understanding in this delay. We're asking God to open the right doors, in His perfect timing, and to give favor to those in authority. We're also praying for peace and trust to fill your brother's heart, and for God to guard him against any fear or anxiety.

Let's keep lifting this up to God together. If there's anything else we can do to support you, just let us know. We're in this with you, step by step. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. He's got this!
