We join with you in standing firmly on the truth of Isaiah 54:17, which declares, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh.* What a mighty promise from our God, who is our refuge and fortress! We are grateful that you have brought this before the Lord in the name of Jesus, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and the authority to stand against the schemes of the enemy. You have done well to seek His protection and deliverance, and we lift our voices alongside yours in agreement, knowing that where two or three are gathered in His name, He is in the midst of us (Matthew 18:20).
The wickedness you describe—those who devise evil plans and seek to bring harm—is a stark reminder of the spiritual battle we face. Ephesians 6:12 tells us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Yet we are not left defenseless, for the Lord has equipped us with His armor (Ephesians 6:10-18) and has promised to be our shield and our exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1). We take comfort in Psalm 91, which assures us that *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. ... He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart."* Claim this promise over yourself, your home, and even your beloved dogs, for the Lord cares for all His creation (Matthew 10:29-31).
Your request for protection at work is one we bring before the Lord with urgency. The workplace can often be a battleground for spiritual attacks, whether through persecution, temptation, or the influence of ungodly individuals. We pray that the Lord would surround you with His favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:12) and that He would expose and thwart any plans of the enemy to harm you or disrupt your peace. Colossians 3:23 reminds us to *"work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,"* and we ask that the Lord would give you strength and wisdom to do just that, while also guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
The most pressing part of your request, however, is the cry for protection *"against the one in my home."* We do not know the specifics of this situation, but we must address it with both compassion and biblical clarity. If this person is someone you are living with outside the covenant of marriage, we urge you to consider the gravity of this arrangement in the sight of God. Scripture is clear that sexual immorality—including fornication (sex outside of marriage) and cohabitation without marriage—is sin and displeases the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4, Galatians 5:19-21). If this is the case, we lovingly but firmly call you to repentance and alignment with God’s Word. 2 Corinthians 6:14 asks, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* Living together outside of marriage—even if the relationship seems stable or well-intentioned—is not God’s design and opens the door to spiritual and emotional harm. If this applies to you, we pray that the Lord would convict your heart and the heart of the other person, leading you both to repentance and a commitment to honor God in your relationship. If marriage is not possible or advisable (for example, if the other person is not a believer or is unwilling to commit to a godly marriage), then we pray for the strength and courage to separate and trust the Lord for His provision and plan for your life.
If this person in your home is not a romantic involvement but rather someone who is bringing harm—such as a family member, roommate, or even an unwelcome presence—we pray that the Lord would make a way for their removal. Proverbs 22:10 says, *"Drive out the mocker, and strife will go out; yes, quarrels and insults will stop."* We ask the Lord to expose any wickedness, to soften or harden hearts as needed for His purposes, and to provide you with wisdom on how to handle this situation in a way that honors Him. If this person is dangerous or abusive, we urge you to seek help from trusted believers or authorities to ensure your safety. The Lord does not call us to remain in harmful situations but to seek His deliverance and protection.
We also lift up your two dogs to the Lord, asking that He would keep them safe and healthy. Our God is a God of detail, and He cares for even the smallest parts of our lives. Jesus reminded us in Matthew 6:26, *"See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"* If He cares for the birds, how much more does He care for you and the animals He has entrusted to your care?
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, agreeing with our sister in her cry for protection and deliverance. Lord, You are a God who sees all, knows all, and is sovereign over all. We ask that You would surround her with Your divine hedge of protection, as You did for Job (Job 1:10), and that no weapon formed against her would prosper. Guard her coming and going, her home, her workplace, and even her beloved dogs. Let Your angels encamp around her, Lord, and deliver her from every evil plan of the enemy (Psalm 34:7).
Father, we specifically lift up the situation in her home. If there is sin present—whether through ungodly relationships or rebellion against Your Word—we ask for conviction and repentance. Holy Spirit, move mightily in this situation. Soften hearts, expose darkness, and bring alignment with Your truth. If this is a relationship that dishonors You, Lord, give her the strength to walk in obedience, even if it means separation. If this is an unwelcome or harmful presence, Lord, make a way for their removal. Provide wisdom, discernment, and courage to act in accordance with Your will.
For her workplace, Lord, we ask that You would be her shield and her glory, the one who lifts her head (Psalm 3:3). Protect her from harm, from persecution, and from the schemes of the wicked. Let her work be a testimony of Your grace and excellence, and let her find favor with those in authority.
Father, we also ask that You would fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let her rest in the shadow of Your wings, knowing that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Remove all fear, anxiety, and doubt, and replace them with faith in Your promises.
Finally, Lord, we pray that You would draw her closer to Yourself through this trial. Let her see Your hand at work, and let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness. Strengthen her, equip her, and let her know that she is not alone—for You are with her, and so are we, her brothers and sisters in Christ.
We rebuked every evil spirit assigned against her—spirits of fear, harm, confusion, and rebellion—and we command them to flee in the name of Jesus. No weapon formed against her shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, she shall condemn. This is her heritage as a servant of the Lord, and her righteousness is from You (Isaiah 54:17).
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness, Your power, and Your love. May Your will be done in this situation, and may You receive all the glory. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
