We join you in prayer for the upcoming November midterm elections and we thank you for praying in the precious name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His name we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12.

We share your desire to see leaders elected who will honor God, uphold righteousness, and defend biblical values including the sanctity of life, the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman, and religious liberty. We pray with you not merely for political victory, but for God's will to be done and for His righteousness to prevail in our nation.

We are reminded in scripture that God is sovereign over the affairs of nations. He changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings and sets up kings. Daniel 2:21 and Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Romans 13:1. We are also taught to pray for those in authority, Therefore I exhort first of all that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. 1 Timothy 2:1-2.

When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan. Proverbs 29:2 and Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance. Psalm 33:12. Our greatest hope is not in approval ratings alone, but in hearts turned toward the Lord and leaders who will govern with wisdom, integrity, and fear of God.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up the midterm elections to You. We ask that You move powerfully upon the hearts of the people and upon this nation. We pray for the leaders and the party You have placed on our brother or sister's heart, that if it is Your will, You would increase their favor and grant them victory in November, so that they may be instruments for righteousness, justice, and truth. We pray for free and fair elections, for truth to prevail over deception, and for every scheme of confusion or dishonesty to be exposed and thwarted. We pray that voters would seek wisdom from You and choose leaders who will honor Your word and protect the innocent, strengthen families, and preserve liberty. We pray that whoever is elected would humble themselves before You and be guided by Your counsel, and that You would use this election for Your glory and for the good of the people. We trust Your sovereign hand and we ask that Your perfect will be done in our nation. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We appreciate you bringing your concern for our nation and the coming elections before the Lord. We hear your desire to see leaders you trust continue to serve well, and to see our country governed with wisdom and stability.

We join you in laying this before God and trusting His sovereign will for what is best. While we bring our specific hopes to Him, we also ask Him to give wisdom to voters, integrity to the election process, peace in our communities, and a heart for justice and humility in all who are elected to serve.

A simple way to keep this in prayer in the months ahead is to set aside a few minutes each day to pray for our nation as a whole, for all candidates and officials by name as the Lord brings them to mind, and for God to accomplish His good purposes through the outcome in November. Staying informed and participating faithfully as a citizen is one tangible way to live out that prayer.

Father, in Jesus' name we bring our nation to You. We ask for Your will to be done in the midterm elections, for wisdom for every voter, for peace across our land, and for leaders who will seek what is right and good. Guide us to trust You with the results and to keep our hope anchored in Christ. Amen.

Your request concerning the coming midterm elections has been brought before us and we have taken it to heart before the Lord.

We must gently remind you of a distinction which our own ministry has often preached. There is an election which is of this world, and there is an election which is of God. Election in this world is but a short lived thing, but God's election is eternal. The one concerns ballots and approval and offices that pass away in a moment, the other concerns sovereign grace. As we have taught, election is sovereign and free, having nothing to do with any original goodness in man, and it is personal, not of nations only but of souls whom God has chosen in Christ from before the foundation of the world.

For this reason we cannot pray as you have worded it, that God would powerfully boost approval ratings or grant partisan victory to any party or persons. To ask God to bless a political outcome as though His favor were to be measured by polls would be to confuse the temporal with the eternal. What we are taught to seek is not the victory of a faction, but the ultimate victory of the cross, which is absolutely certain. Jesus will win the victory, and He will not enjoy it alone, for He will glorify His people and in consequence of what He has done myriads of souls will be redeemed.

What then shall we pray together. We will pray as Scripture commands, for kings and for all that are in authority, that God in His providence would grant wisdom, justice and restraint to those who govern, that the election would be conducted peaceably and honestly, that the people of this land would act with discernment, and above all that Christ's kingdom would advance. We will pray that your own heart, and the hearts of many, may give diligence to make your calling and election sure, for you must go to the Cross to get to the Decree, you must go round by Redemption to get to Election, and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the sure mark that God has chosen you.

Let us pray in this way. O Father, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Grant unto this nation rulers who will love justice and mercy, restrain evil and seek the good of all. Grant unto Thy people grace to live holy and quiet lives in all godliness, and to look not to princes for salvation, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. Let the glory of Thy Son be revealed, and let sinners be drawn to Him who poured out His soul unto death that He might divide a portion with the strong. Keep our eyes upon that eternal election and that final victory which shall never pass away. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope. Amen.

We have received your prayer request concerning the coming midterm elections and we join you in bringing our nation before the Lord in prayer.

Scripture teaches us that God in His providence governs all things and that our calling is to trust Him rather than to put Him to the test by demanding that He prove Himself through a particular outcome we desire. Our hope is not to be placed in approval ratings or in political strength, but in the Lord who sustains all things. As we are reminded, patience works endurance and endurance strengthens hope, and the soul grows brighter as it learns to trust God through every circumstance. We are also taught not to be anxious as if we were without a Provider, for God knows what we need and is able to give more than we ask when we rest in His care, and not to trust in ourselves but to commit all to Him.

Therefore our prayer together is not that God would simply grant a partisan advantage, but that His will would be done and His purposes would prevail for the good of the people and for the honor of His name. We pray that God would grant wisdom to voters and to all who seek office, that He would raise up leaders who will act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly before Him, who will protect life, uphold what is good, and govern with integrity and restraint. We pray for a peaceful and fair election, for truth to prevail over falsehood, and for our land to be granted stability and order through His providential care.

We ask the Lord to give you and all His people peace in this season, to keep your hope fixed not on uncertain earthly power but on the better hope we have in Christ, drawing near to God with confidence and seeking first His kingdom. May we continue to pray for all those in authority, that we may lead quiet and godly lives, and may we trust God whether He answers according to our request or in another way that His wisdom knows to be best.

We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, trusting in the Father's perfect will. Amen.
