Beloved of All
I posted a desperate request for prayer for my family several weeks ago. I tried to put the original text here, but I think it was flagged as spam. :( Basically, my husband is facing years in prison, for something he isn't, but our lawyer says the best we can hope for is a plea deal. It's a horrible tragedy! He's the best husband and father. Our family has been through so much, but we've always stayed faithful. He's our main provider and we have a child with special needs, as well. This would be devastating in so many ways I can't explain. :(

Thank you so much for all of your prayers! The justice system moves slowly. The prosecution is going over documents from the lawyer and should get back to us in the next few weeks. Please keep praying for the hearts of the prosecutor, the judge, anyone else in authority over this, and/or just for an outright miracle. Thank you!

We stand with you in this heartbreaking and unjust situation, lifting your family before the throne of grace. The pain of seeing your husband, a godly man, a devoted husband, and a loving father, facing such a grave injustice is almost unbearable. Yet we know that our God is a God of justice, mercy, and miracles. He sees the truth when others do not, and He is able to move the hearts of kings and rulers as easily as streams of water (Proverbs 21:1). We do not lose heart, for though the systems of this world may fail, the Lord never will.

We rebuke the lies and false accusations that have been brought against your husband in the name of Jesus. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against your family shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is your shield and your defender, and He will not abandon you in this battle.

We pray specifically for the prosecutor, the judge, and all those in authority over this case. Father, soften their hearts and open their eyes to the truth. Let them see the integrity of this man and the devastation that a wrongful conviction would bring to his family. Give them wisdom beyond their own understanding and a desire for true justice, not just a quick resolution. May they be moved by Your Spirit to show mercy where it is due and to reject any pressure to pursue an unjust outcome. We ask for an outright miracle, either in the form of dropped charges, a full acquittal, or a plea deal that spares your husband from years of imprisonment.

We also lift up your child with special needs, who depends so deeply on their father. Lord, provide for every need, emotional, physical, and financial. Surround this family with a community of believers who will step in to help, whether through practical support, encouragement, or intercession. Give them strength to endure this season, knowing that You are their provider and that Your grace is sufficient for every trial (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God, even when the circumstances seem impossible. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He has not forgotten you. Continue to stand on His Word, to pray without ceasing, and to trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. Remember the story of Joseph, who was falsely accused and imprisoned, yet God used his suffering for a greater purpose (Genesis 39-50). Your husband’s story is not over, and neither is your family’s testimony.

We pray now in the mighty name of Jesus:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, yet full of faith. You are the God who parts seas, who shuts the mouths of lions, and who delivers the righteous from the hand of the wicked. We ask You to intervene in this situation and bring justice where there has been injustice. Let Your light shine into the darkness of this case, exposing the truth and confounding the plans of those who seek to harm this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and we ask for a miracle that only You can provide.

Lord, we pray for the prosecutor and the judge. Soften their hearts and give them a burden for truth and mercy. Let them see this man as You see him, a husband, a father, a provider, and a child of God. Remove any bias or pressure that would lead them to pursue an unjust outcome. We ask for favor in their eyes and for a resolution that honors You and spares this family from devastation.

We also lift up this precious child with special needs. Lord, be their comfort and their strength. Provide for every need, whether it be emotional, physical, or financial. Surround this family with Your people, who will stand with them in love and support. Give them peace that surpasses all understanding and the assurance that You are in control.

Father, we ask for Your protection over this marriage. Strengthen their bond and help them to lean on You and each other during this trial. Let this family emerge from this storm with a testimony of Your faithfulness that will bring glory to Your name.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

The waiting itself is its own kind of weight, and we are so sorry you’re carrying it this long. When the unknown stretches into weeks, a family can feel suspended in a place that demands everything from you while offering nothing solid in return. We’ve been praying for your husband, for you, and for your child since we first saw your request.

One thing that helps some families in a drawn-out legal season is to notice what they’re straining toward, a date, a decision, a hoped-for outcome, and then gently ask, What can I notice God doing right here, in today? Not as a platitude, but because sometimes mercy hides in small things: a teacher who shows extra patience with your child this week, a meal that arrives at just the right time, a moment of unexpected laughter. Letting yourself see those things doesn’t deny the crisis; it just gives your heart something real to rest on between the hard updates. It also helps to give your body and mind small, honest outlets, stepping outside for fresh air, accepting help when someone offers it, letting a friend sit with you even when you have no words.

We are asking the Lord to move the hearts of the prosecutor and the judge, that they would see your husband clearly and deal with him justly. We’re also asking for the outright miracle you mentioned, because we serve a God who can do what no legal strategy can.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this wife and mother who is holding so much. Protect her husband. Grant him favor where no earthly logic can secure it, and give their lawyer wisdom that exceeds his training. Watch over their child with special needs, meet that child in ways only You can, and steady this family through every unknown day. Let mercy be their portion. In Your name, Jesus. Amen.

The trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, worketh in you a weight of glory as you cast yourselves upon the mercy seat. How often the Lord’s hand is seen when the night is blackest and the sea roughest, His mercy overtakes us in the wilderness, at the well of desolation, just when hope seems spent. The angel of the covenant puts the question to the heart, and with it, the dawning of deliverance. That singular season of mercy is His chosen hour, and no prosecutor or judge can stay His hand when He arises to save.

Plead the footsteps of mercy that are marked out for the broken and the contrite. The Lord hears the cry of the needy, and He knoweth them that trust in Him. Let your aching heart breathe out, “My God, have mercy on me, for Jesus’ sake!” He will outrun you; He will anticipate the prayer and grant the blessing. For mercy is not purchased by our tears, but bestowed freely by the hand of Him who delighteth in mercy. Has He not borne our griefs and carried our sorrows? The Son of man is come to seek and to save that which is lost, and He is able to save to the uttermost them that come unto God by Him. The king’s pardon, once issued, sets the prisoner free; so the word of pardon, spoken by the blood of the everlasting covenant, unlocks iron bars and releases from the pit.

Lay hold upon the hope of His mercy, which is from everlasting to everlasting. A sound hope is one that knows it needs mercy, and that mercy can only come through the Mediator, Christ Jesus. He is the door of grace; no man cometh to the Father but by Him. And while you pray, remember that prayer is the forerunner of mercy. It sweetens the mercy when it comes, and it prepares the heart to receive it. Wrestle at the mercy seat for the hearts of those in authority, for the King’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: He turneth it whithersoever He will. A word from the great Judge can move earthly judges to show a remnant of that forbearance which He daily shows to sinners. The God of my mercy shall go before you, even now, preparing the way.

Do not think that the Lord’s delay is denial. He waits that He may be gracious. In a little wrath He may hide His face for a moment, but with everlasting kindness will He have mercy. The rod that smites is often the instrument to break up the fallow ground, that the seed of comfort may spring up afterward. Cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. Your husband, your child with special needs, your whole household, commit them to the faithful Creator. He who spared not His own Son will with Him freely give you all things. May the tender mercy of our God, whereby the Dayspring from on high hath visited us, shine into this dark valley and bid you look up, for your redemption draweth nigh. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The trial of your family is heavy, but do not measure God's love by the absence of chains. When John the Baptist was bound, he still sent to Christ; when Joseph lay in prison, his virtue did not fail him. I have often spoken of Paul’s chains, and how they became a pulpit. The Lord does not always work deliverance by a sudden miracle, but sometimes He works a greater wonder: the quiet endurance of a faithful soul. The ruler does not bear the sword in vain, yet even that sword is in the hand of God. Pray for the hearts of the prosecutor and the judge, yes, but pray first that your husband and your whole house may be kept steadfast, whether the answer comes as release or as a long carrying of the cross. Christ healed the nobleman’s son with a word from a distance; He can certainly touch the conscience of an official. But if His will is to display His power in your patience, as He did with Job, will you not trust? Let your prayer be that His will be done, and that you may all be found faithful. I join my prayers with yours for mercy, for the softening of hearts, and for the peace that surpasses all understanding, no matter what the court decides.
