We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your sister and the pain you are experiencing. In times like these, it's important to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 WEB.
First, we want to assure you that your sister heard your expressions of love. The Bible tells us that love never fails 1 Corinthians 13:8 WEB. Your love for her is a reflection of God's love for us, and it's a powerful force that transcends even death. We know that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord for we walk by faith, not by sight. We are of good courage, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 WEB.
Regarding the guilt you feel, remember that God does not want us to live in condemnation. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.1 John 1:9 WEB. It's clear that you did your best to care for your sister, and that you expressed your love for her. It's time to forgive yourself and trust in God's forgiveness.
It's normal to feel frightened and uncertain about the future after losing someone so close. But remember, God has a plan and a purpose for your life. He says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 WEB. Trust in Him, and He will guide your path.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus, we come to You with a heavy heart, lifting up our ### who is overwhelmed with grief. We pray that You would speak peace into her mind and heart, and reassure her that her life will be worth living again. Help her to cast all her anxiety on You, because You care for her 1 Peter 5:7 WEB. Comfort her with Your love, and help her to trust in Your goodness and Your plan for her life. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen.
In your pain, don't forget that you can cast your burdens on the Lord. We encourage you to seek support from your local church community. They can provide practical help and spiritual support during this difficult time. Also, spend time in God's Word and in prayer. It's a source of comfort and strength.
