Will it ever go all the way away? The pain from days past.. another life before the blood was applied.. sins repented for already.. have seemed to have left a mark in my mind... God please.. I am raising 3 boys.. have a loving husband.. idk what is wrong with me...

We hear the deep anguish in your words, dear sister, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with hearts full of compassion. The pain of past sins, even those repented of, can linger like shadows in the mind, but we declare with certainty that the blood of Jesus is more powerful than any mark left behind. Scripture tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). The enemy would love to keep you bound in shame, but Christ has already broken those chains. "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17).

We rebuke the lies that whisper you are defined by your past. The Word of God says you are "washed... sanctified... justified in the name of the Lord Jesus" (1 Corinthians 6:11). The pain you feel is real, but it does not have the final say. We encourage you to bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to speak truth over yourself daily. Your husband and sons need the woman God created you to be, whole, healed, and free.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our sins and our sorrows on the cross. Lord, we lift up this precious sister to You, asking for Your healing touch to penetrate every wounded place in her mind and heart. You promise in Isaiah 61:3 that You give "the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness." We claim that promise over her life today.

Father, we ask that You would silence the accuser and flood her mind with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind her daily that she is forgiven, redeemed, and deeply loved by You. Strengthen her as she raises her sons to know You and walks alongside her husband in faith. Fill her with Your joy and purpose, Lord, so that she may live fully in the freedom Christ purchased for her.

We rebuke any spirit of depression, anxiety, or condemnation in Jesus’ name and command it to flee. We declare that this sister is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37). Surround her with Your presence, Lord, and let her feel Your love in tangible ways. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

You are not alone in this battle, dear one. The Lord sees your tears and collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). He has not forgotten you, and He is working even now to restore your joy. Keep pressing into Him, and consider reaching out to a trusted pastor or Christian counselor who can walk with you through this season. You are deeply loved, and your story is not over, God is writing a testimony of redemption through you.

We ache with you over this, the baffling weight that lingers even after we know we are forgiven. You are not crazy, and you are not alone in this. The blood of Jesus covers every sin completely, yet sometimes our minds keep replaying the shame long after God has erased the record. That lingering pain does not mean your repentance was fake or that something is deeply wrong with you; it often means the wound went deep, and healing the memory is a different layer of work than receiving pardon.

When you were forgiven, God truly buried that old life. But your mind may still need to learn how to live from that truth. The past can leave grooves of guilt that fire automatically, like a scar that aches in certain weather. This does not surprise your Father, and it does not diminish His delight in you as His daughter or His joy over your family.

One concrete step that often helps in a season like this is to find a wise Christian counselor, someone trained to help you separate the finished work of Christ from the lingering emotional patterns, and to walk with you as those old thoughts lose their power. You are raising three boys and loving your husband while carrying a hidden burden, and you do not have to sort that out alone. When the accusatory memories surface this week, simply pause and quietly say to yourself, "That guilt is not from my Father." You are not fighting to be forgiven, you are learning to rest in the forgiveness already yours.

Let us go to Him now.

Lord Jesus, this dear mother is exhausted by shame that You already silenced on the cross. Quiet the noise of old accusations in her mind. Let her feel the safety of being completely known and completely loved by You. Restore the joy she longs to share with her husband and her boys, and guide her to whatever help she needs. In Your strong name we ask this. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The sentence of forgiveness that Christ pronounces upon the believing sinner sets free from every jot and taint and stain of guilt. Yours is an absolute, irreversible, eternal pardon, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. He never plays fast and loose with men.

Yet the work of the Spirit is linked with the work of the Son, when the Son removes guilt, the Spirit removes guile. The forgiven one undergoes a change of nature and this often means the Spirit cultivates in you a deep heart-searching and a daily repentance. You are more or less conscious that something is very wrong, but you have no mind to enquire. Is this truthful? Is it reasonable? If your house were reported to be on fire, would you not see to it? This continual lowly estimate of yourself, this self-abhorrence, endears Christ to your heart as the great Savior of unworthy ones.

True repentance stands at the Cross and sees sin forgiven and then repents more than ever she did when she could not spy out forgiveness. She says of her sins, "I know they are forgiven, but now their pain to me is all the grief and anguish they laid, my Lord, on Thee." This pain is no mark that you are unforgiven; it is the mark of a tender conscience that has beheld the cost of pardon.

You must not suppose that this pain is any help towards earning something more from God. Anguish can drive good thoughts out of the mind. The answer to the lingering scar is not to sink into despair but to hear again the whisper of hope. There is forgiveness. There is forgiveness. Let this whisper drive away despair. It is not merely a hopeful whisper but a full, distinct, emphatic, unquestionable assurance, there is forgiveness.

Just at this very minute, into your mind there may flash, "And what a weight there is resting upon you!" The weight of these memories is heavy, but do you not see? The debt is cancelled. The creditor has written "Paid in full" across the ledger with the blood of His own Son. The forgiveness is a continuous one; He continues daily to forgive, for the act of forgiveness is a continuous one. The one pardon avails for the past and for every present error.

If you have been the chief of sinners, you may have the chief of sinners' forgiveness, and God can bestow the reality of its peace now. By way of assurance, O woman, there is forgiveness for your sins, whatever they may have been. This shows how perfect is our forgiveness, nay, I must put it, how divine is the forgiveness which we have received. You are not lingering at the gate of mercy; you have entered in. Do not let the memory of the pit keep you from rejoicing in the sunlight of His favor.
