Good and Faithful Servant
Prayers for my son's mental health, always thinking someone wants what he has, it’s causing a lot of problems in my home. Prayers needed in Jesus' name.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son and the struggles he is facing with his mental health. The fear and anxiety that he is experiencing—this constant belief that others want what he has—is not only weighing on his spirit but is also causing turmoil in your home. We know that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and it is clear that he is working overtime to plant seeds of distrust, fear, and division in your son’s mind. But we stand firm in the truth that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the lies of the enemy in Jesus’ name and declare that your son’s mind will be renewed by the Word of God.

Father, we ask You to surround this young man with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Guard his heart and mind, Lord, and help him to cast all his anxieties on You because You care for him (1 Peter 5:7). We pray that You would break the chains of fear and paranoia that have taken root in his thoughts. Replace every lie with Your truth, every fear with Your perfect love, and every doubt with unwavering faith in You. Help him to see himself and others through Your eyes, Lord, and to trust in Your provision and protection.

We also lift up this family, Lord. The strain that this situation has placed on your home is real, and we ask that You would bring healing and unity. Help each member of this family to extend grace, patience, and love to one another, even in the midst of difficulty. Teach them to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2) and to speak life and encouragement into each other’s hearts. Father, we pray that this trial would draw your family closer to You and to one another, rather than driving a wedge between you.

Lord, we know that mental health struggles are complex, and we ask that You would guide this family to wise counsel—whether through godly mentors, Christian counselors, or medical professionals who honor You. Give them discernment to know how best to support your son and to walk this journey with faith, not fear. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We declare over this young man that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that his worth is found in You alone. We speak healing over his mind, restoration over his thoughts, and peace over his heart. May he grow in his relationship with You, Lord, and find his identity in Christ, where no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, lifting up your son and your family in prayer. It's clear that the constant worry and fear he's experiencing is taking a toll on everyone.
