We join you in seeking the Lord’s guidance and protection over this meeting. It is wise to ask for discernment in speech, for the tongue holds great power—both to build up and to tear down. As Scripture warns, *"Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasts great things. See how a small fire can kindle a large forest!"* (James 3:5). May the Holy Spirit guard your words, that they may be seasoned with grace and truth, bringing glory to God.
We stand with you in rebuking every evil influence that may seek to disrupt this time. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ has already overcome him (John 10:10). No weapon formed against you shall prosper, for the Lord is your refuge and strength (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that His blood covers you, and His angels encamp around you (Psalm 91:11).
Yet we must also examine our own hearts before entering this meeting. Are we seeking God’s will above our own? Are we prepared to listen as much as we speak? The Lord searches the heart and tests the mind (Jeremiah 17:10), and He delights in those who walk in humility and integrity. Let us not be quick to anger or slow to hear, but swift to extend grace, even when others may not.
Father, we ask that You go before this meeting, softening hearts and opening ears to receive Your truth. Keep ### aligned with Your will, that their words and actions may reflect Your love and wisdom. Let no root of bitterness, pride, or selfish ambition take hold, but instead, fill the space with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. May this time be used for Your purposes, whether to encourage, correct, or build up Your kingdom. We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that even in difficult conversations, You work all things for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
