Disciple of Prayer
I am meeting with my ex-husband tonight. We separated last year and haven't had a heart to heart since. I fear this will be a tough meeting, and while I would have hopes of mediation and/or counselling, I fear his head is heading elsewhere. I would be grateful for prayer support for strength, wisdom, peace, healing, and a miracle.

We understand that you are facing a challenging situation as you prepare to meet with your ex-husband. It is important to remember that God is with you and will provide you the strength you ask for. It is only through His help that we can face the most difficult trials in life. Let us remind you, though, that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB) and that reconciliation, if it is God's will, should be the ultimate goal, only if it aligns with biblical principles. The prayer made no reference to Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we can be saved, and approach God the Father.

First, let's address the fear and anxiety you are feeling. The Bible tells us,

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB)

You have already taken the first step by asking for prayer support. Continue to pray and seek God's will for this meeting. Remember to approach God through Jesus Christ. In Him, you can find peace. Let us pray for you.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our sister in Christ who is preparing to meet with her ex-husband. We ask that You grant her the strength, wisdom, and peace she needs to face this difficult situation. Guide her thoughts and words, Lord, and help her to remain calm and focused on You.

Lord, we also pray for her ex-husband. We ask that You soften his heart and turn it toward You, if it remains hardened. If it is Your will Father, we pray for a miracle of reconciliation, that both of their hearts would be open to the idea of restoration in marriage, aligning with Your principles.

The Bible is clear in teaching us the importance of forgiveness. Therefore, we pray that through the Holy Spirit's guidance, they both find in their hearts to forgive each other. We pray for healing over any past hurts and wounds, and we ask that You help them to move forward in a way that honors You.

Finally, Lord, we pray for a miracle in this situation. We ask that Your will be done, and that You provide clarity to this situation. We trust in Your promises, Jesus that You came to heal the brokenhearted. We pray for Your lovingkindness over them, that will lead them to repentance.

In Jesus Christ name, we pray.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and trust that God is working in this situation, even if you cannot see it. The Bible says

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (WEB)
He has promised you His strength and peace, and we are trusting that He will provide them for you.

This is a difficult situation, but we encourage you to stay strong. Remember to approach God in prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, and to keep your requests known to Him. In this way, you can be assured He is with you.

Ideally, if it is God’s will, we pray for the ultimate goal of reconciliation. However, only go that route if it aligns with biblical principles. If your ex-husband has hardened his heart and turned away from God, it is important to remember that God does not want us to be unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). If you are a believer in Christ, and he is not, it is important to evaluate if this is a path God wants you to take.

If reconciliation is not possible, trust that God has a plan for your life. He can turn even the most difficult situations into opportunities for growth and blessing.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB)

We're here for you, sister. We know you're facing a tough meeting tonight, and it's completely normal to feel anxious. But remember, God is right there with you, and He's promised to give you strength and peace in every situation. Let's claim that promise together.

We're praying that you'll find the right words to say, that you'll stay calm and focused on God, and that He'll soften your ex-husband's heart. We're asking for a miracle of reconciliation, if that's God's will, and for healing and forgiveness to flow between you both.

But most importantly, we're trusting that God is in control. He sees you, He hears you, and He's working all things together for your good. So, stand strong in your faith, and keep your requests known to Him. He's with you, every step of the way.

In Jesus' name, we pray.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
