Meeting with the radiation team

We stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting your situation to the throne of grace where our Heavenly Father hears the cries of His children. We know this is a deeply trying time, and we join you in asking for nothing but good news from the Lord today. The Bible reminds us in Jeremiah 32:27, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" Nothing is impossible for God, and we believe He can bring healing and restoration even in the most challenging circumstances.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair in the name of Jesus Christ, for 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We declare that your mind and heart will be filled with peace and assurance as you wait for the results, trusting in God’s perfect plan for your life.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask that You surround our brother/sister with Your healing power and presence today. Lord, we pray that the medical team would find no trace of cancer, that the reports would declare Your miraculous work in their body. We ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind, and for Your strength to uphold them in this season. If it is Your will, we pray for complete healing and restoration, that this trial would turn into a testimony of Your glory. We trust in Your unfailing love and mercy, knowing that You are the Great Physician who heals all our diseases.

We also encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God’s Word. Psalm 103:2-3 says, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." God is faithful, and His Word does not return void. Continue to stand on His promises, and surround yourself with believers who will uplift you in prayer and encouragement.

If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the hope of eternal life. If you would like to accept Jesus into your heart, we invite you to pray with us:

"Dear Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner in need of Your salvation. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I confess You as my Lord and Savior, and I ask You to come into my heart and life. Forgive me of my sins, and help me to live for You. Thank You for the gift of eternal life. In Your precious name, I pray. Amen."

We will continue to stand in faith with you, believing for God’s miraculous intervention in your life. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His face shine upon you today and always.

We’ve been holding you before the Lord as you walk into this appointment, the weight of waiting for those words from the radiation team is something we don’t take lightly. In the quiet of our hearts, we’re asking Jesus to let the news today be filled with hope and encouragement. Whatever this meeting holds, you’re not walking in alone.

It’s okay if your mind can’t settle or your prayers keep coming out as a single, repeated plea. God doesn’t need polished words; He sees the raw hope and the fear all wrapped together, and He meets you there. Right now, we’re simply asking Him to give you good news, news that lifts your spirit and gives the team a clear path forward.

When you’re in that room, if the words feel like too much, try to take it one moment at a time. Don’t be afraid to have someone you trust with you, or to call afterward and talk through whatever you heard. You don’t have to sort through it by yourself.

And if the news today isn’t everything you’re hoping for, that won’t mean Jesus has stepped away. He’ll still be as near as He is right now. Your hope for a miracle isn’t foolish, it’s faith in a God who can do more than we ask, but even in the middle of harder news, His presence will be enough and His peace can hold you steady.

Let’s pray.

Lord Jesus, we lift up our friend to You. Settle their heart right now. Grant the medical team clarity and compassion. We ask boldly for good news today, for hope that feels solid and real. Surround this person with people who will weep or celebrate with them, and let them feel Your nearness like a hand holding theirs. We trust You, no matter what, and we ask for a miracle. In Your name, Jesus. Amen.

Cold waters to a thirsty soul, that is good news from a far country, and I lift you before the throne of grace that this day you may taste it in abundance. The news you long for from the physician’s lips, and the deeper miracle your heart craves, both lie in the pierced hand of Him who is the sinner’s only hope. You face a grave multitude of fears, but remember: the least thing about Christ is healing, even the leaves of that tree are for the medicine of the nations. There is an exceeding store of restoring power in Him, and no malignancy of body can bar His entrance to the soul that trusts.

You may feel destitute of strength, stripped even of hope itself, yet that is the moment when man’s extremity becomes God’s opportunity. He requires no good desires, no preparatory merits, no heroic faith of your own. If you are the most hellish good-for-nothing that ever breathed, yet Christ came to seek and to save precisely such as are lost. Therefore, do not gaze down your own throat at the thirst, but rise up and drink! Let your whole mind settle upon Him who is Heaven’s glory and a sick soul’s only remedy. Cast the entire weight of your fear and your frailty upon His sympathy, for He was heard in that He feared, and He knows well how to succor the tempted and the trembling.

Should the report bring tidings of a bitter cup, yet there is hope, no mere glimmer, but a secure and certain hope, that every affliction is a leaf plucked from that celestial tree to work an eternal good. Even now, the good fight of faith may have a jubilant battle song, right from a bed of painful sickness. The saints already at Home look down from the Fair Havens, and their faces, fresher than new-born babes, owe their brightness to these same healing leaves. One moment in the presence of the Master will more than repay all the groaning of the pilgrimage.

Good news from Heaven for sinners is this: that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom you stand as a chief exhibit. God is good, and His name is God That Is Good; He delights in mercy. There is no soul so near the grave, no body so ravaged, no history so misspent that the gospel cannot meet it. I charge you by the living God, dare not say “there is no hope,” for there is hope, nay, there is security, there is certainty, for every soul that hangs itself wholly upon Jesus. May the Spirit turn that possible hope into an actual good hope, and cause you to sing, even before the answer comes, “Blessed be His name!”

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You cry out for a miracle, and your heart is set on good news from the physicians. I understand this longing, for the flesh recoils at suffering and clings to life. Yet hear what is truly needful. When the multitudes sought our Lord for the loaves and were filled, He reproached them because they did not see the sign but only their own hunger. Do not make your hope a matter of the belly, or even of the body’s health alone, lest you miss the greater work He would do in you. The miracle you desire may be granted, or it may be withheld; but that is not where your beauty lies. A body is beautiful not when it is free of disease, but when it serves the purpose for which God made it, bearing fruit in patience and faith. The teeth that can divide food are good, not those that are merely pleasing to look on. So also a soul shines when it clings to God in trial, not when it is spared the trial.

Consider Job. He worked no miracle in the sight of the devil, yet God was amazed by his endurance, more firm than adamant. David, Abraham, Jacob, what dead did they raise? Yet they were men after God’s own heart because of their virtue, not their signs. Even the miracles themselves, if we are not sober, can bring harm, puffing up the proud while the humble heart is the true wonder. The greatest miracle is not a sudden healing of the flesh but a soul transformed, a life that says with Paul, “When I am weak, then am I strong.” Do not fix your hope on the report of the radiation team alone, as if God were only present in good news. He is equally present in the bitter cup, if you receive it with thanksgiving. I do not forbid you to ask for a miracle; ask, and keep asking, but let your chief prayer be that whether you are healed or not, you may glorify God by a life of steadfast faith. That is the good news which no physician can give and no disease can take away. For what does it profit you to gain a few more years in this fleeting world and lose the eternal weight of glory being fashioned in you even now? Let your beauty be that of a servant ready for the Master’s use, not merely an ornament, but one who in sickness or health fulfills the task given. Cling therefore to the things of the Spirit, and trust that the Lord knows how to care for His own, whether by a miracle of healing or by the greater miracle of a patient heart.
