Meeting with doctors tomorrow

Disciple of Prayer
In March 2021 they found cancer in my body. That was taking out with a operation. In April 2024 they found cancer in the lungs, bones and later badder and kidney. Recently they four two tumors in the brain. The biggest of the tumors was succcessfully removed. I have a meeting tomorrow with the doctors, were they decide further treament, like weather the smaller tumor should get rediation (I hope so). And whether I have to continue chemo therapy (I hope not. I had a while where I did not get chemo and my body thrived during those months) Please pray in the name of Jesus Christ

We have read your request and we are standing with you in prayer as you face this meeting with your doctors tomorrow. We thank you for asking in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we find our hope and healing. As it is written in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We are grateful you have called upon that precious name.

Our hearts are moved by all you have endured since 2021, the surgeries and the spread of this disease to your lungs, bones, bladder, kidney and now the brain. We rejoice with you that the largest brain tumor was successfully removed, and we understand your hope that the smaller tumor can be treated with radiation and your desire for relief from chemotherapy after your body thrived without it. We bring all of these specific needs before the Lord who is our Great Physician.

We are reminded of His promises to us when we are sick and afraid. He says in Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And in Psalm 103:2-3 we read, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We also cling to Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We know that our Lord hears the prayer of faith, for James 5:15 tells us, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift our dear brother or sister up to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that You know every cell of this body that You created, and You see the tumors that remain and the weariness from years of treatment. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon the lungs, bones, bladder, kidney and brain. We ask that You would guide the hands and minds of the doctors tomorrow. Grant them supernatural wisdom and discernment to decide rightly about radiation for the smaller tumor and about whether chemotherapy should continue. We pray that if it is Your will, You would open the door for radiation and give clear direction about chemotherapy, and that You would protect this body from further harm and side effects. We ask for Your peace to guard this heart tonight and tomorrow, as You promise in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Strengthen and uphold our friend, give rest and hope, and let Your will be done. We trust You whether You choose to heal through medicine or by Your own miraculous hand, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You as told in Romans 8:28. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We encourage you to rest in His presence tonight and to go into that meeting knowing we are praying for you and that the Lord is with you. Whether the doctors recommend radiation or further chemotherapy, we pray you will have peace and clarity and that your body will continue to be strengthened by the Lord. We will continue to keep you in our prayers for complete healing and for comfort in the days ahead.

We are keeping you close in prayer as you head into this meeting tomorrow. What a long road you have walked since ###, and again since last year with so much spread and then these two brain tumors. To have come through the larger tumor removal is a lot, and it makes sense that you would feel both weary and hopeful as the doctors make the next decisions.

We hear what is most on your heart for tomorrow, hoping the smaller tumor can be treated with radiation and hoping you might be able to pause chemo, especially since your body felt stronger in those months without it. It is good to bring those hopes clearly to your doctors and to hear their wisdom on benefits and burdens for your specific situation.

If it helps, consider tonight writing down your two main questions just as you shared them here, and bringing someone you trust to listen and take notes with you. When information comes quickly it is easy to miss details, and having it written down can help you review it later and follow up.

We are praying with you for clear guidance for your medical team, for peace for you as you wait and listen, and for strength for the days ahead.

Jesus, we lift our friend to You right now. You know this body and this story so well. We ask for wisdom for the doctors tomorrow, for clarity about radiation and about chemo, and for Your nearness and peace to guard our friend through the meeting and recovery. Give rest tonight and strength for each next step. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your trial has been heard with deep and prayerful sympathy, and we bring your burden before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and Great Physician.

To have borne the affliction since 2021, to have passed through the operation, and then to hear of its spread to lungs and bones and bladder and kidney, and now to the brain, is a path of great sorrow. That the larger tumor has been removed is a mercy for which we give thanks to God, and we understand with what anxious hope you look toward tomorrow's meeting with the doctors, desiring that the smaller tumor might be treated with radiation and that you might be spared further chemotherapy, since your body found some thriving in the months without it.

We pray for you now, that the God of hope would fill you with all joy and peace in believing, according to His promise. There is a peace which faith brings which is a filling peace and a well founded peace, not a peace that depends upon favorable news from men, but a simple trust in Christ. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even in this dark world of sin and suffering, and that peace may be a present possession as your mind is stayed upon Him. He is able to keep you in perfect peace when heart and flesh fail.

We ask the Lord to give wisdom to those who counsel you tomorrow. May He guide their minds and hands, and grant them clear judgment concerning radiation and all further treatment, that what is most wise and most merciful may be discerned. We pray that the Lord, who has shown you kindness in the past, would continue to deal gently with your body, and if it be His gracious will, grant you relief and further healing. Above all we pray that you may know the happy conjunction of healing and pardon, for it is written, The inhabitant shall not say, I am sick, the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity. To be forgiven through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the greatest healing, and that forgiveness is given in a moment to the soul that trusts in Him, swifter than the lightning flash, when the eye of God conveys pardon through the precious blood.

May the Lord speak the healing word as only He can act, and may He cause you to hear His voice saying, Your faith has saved you, go in peace. Whether you are to lie upon a sick bed or to walk in renewed strength, may you go in peace, resting your heart upon Him who took our flesh and became bone of our bone and flesh of our flesh, that He might touch us and heal us.

We commit you, and all that concerns tomorrow, into the hands of our faithful God and Savior, asking all in the precious and prevailing name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who ever lives to intercede for His people. Amen.
