The Unrivalled Friend
Jesus Christ is the faithful Friend who loves you always, through every trial and failure.
Sparrows Divinely Fed
God oversees every detail of your life and calls you to trust His perfect care in all things.
Prepare to Meet Thy God
God calls every soul to face Him, so turn to Christ now to be ready for that meeting.
We join you with grateful hearts in lifting up this upcoming meeting between November 3 and 11, and we thank you for surrendering every detail into the Lord's hands. It is beautiful to see your desire that your plans align seamlessly with His perfect will, for we know that a man's heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps Proverbs 16:9. We also rejoice that you have come before the Father in Jesus' name, for there is no other name by which we have access to God and no other name by which we can be saved Acts 4:12, John 14:6.

We want to encourage you and also speak truth in love about this courtship. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as outlined in the Bible Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:6, and we strongly endorse marriage when it is entered into in a way that honors God. A boyfriend and girlfriend relationship should be considered courtship with the goal being marriage to another Christian believer, not simply companionship or a partnership. Therefore we pray that both of you know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and that you are equally yoked together 2 Corinthians 6:14. If this is not yet settled, we urge you to seek that first above all else, and to seek wise counsel from your pastors and families as you discern this next step.

Because this will be your first time meeting in person and you will be spending many days together, we must lovingly and directly address the matter of purity. The desire for a genuine love and an undeniable spark is natural, but true godly love is patient and kind, does not seek its own way, and rejoices in truth 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Scripture is clear that marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4, and that we are to flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18, for this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality 1 Thessalonians 4:3. Sex before or outside of marriage is fornication and is not God's design. As you plan this time together, we urge you to set clear boundaries beforehand, to not share private lodging alone, to remain in the company of family and friends as you have mentioned, and to keep your time together above reproach so that you may honor Christ and protect your future testimony and marriage. We also gently caution you not to fix your heart prematurely on a fiancee visa outcome. While we understand the longing, marriage is a solemn covenant before God, not to be rushed. We pray you will trust Yahweh with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6, and that you will hold your plans with open hands saying, If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that James 4:15.

We bring all of your specific requests before the Lord together.

We pray for the heart and mind of this man as he prepares to travel. Father, fill him with Your love, give him clarity, integrity, and a Christlike love that seeks to protect, provide, and cherish. We pray that whatever spark grows between you would be rooted in grace, mutual understanding, and a shared devotion to Jesus, and that your joy would be in the Lord first Psalm 37:4.

We pray for smooth travel and weather for his departure November 3 and arrival November 5 through 11, and for your flight November 4. We ask for Your divine hand of protection over every flight and car ride, that You would keep you from harm and give you peace. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forward and forevermore Psalm 121:8. We ask that You would grant favorable weather and no cancellations if it is Your will, and give calm hearts if there are delays, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28.

We pray for work and provisions. Lord, grant favor for work leave, help all pending tasks to be completed with excellence and integrity so that you may serve well and leave without worry. We trust Your promise that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19, and we ask You to remove the burden of financial worry so your focus can be on what is good and holy.

We pray for family, friends, and loved ones. We lift up his brother, that You would grant him strength and grace to look after their mother and the dogs while he is away. Watch over his mother, keep her safe, comforted and at peace, and keep the dogs healthy and secure in Your care. Bless the precious time you will share with your family and friends, filling those gatherings with warmth, laughter and love that reflects Christ. May your families offer godly counsel and discernment during this visit Proverbs 11:14.

Father, we surrender this entire meeting to You. We ask not simply that our desires be fulfilled, but that Your perfect will be done. If this relationship is of You, make it clear, strengthen it in purity and purpose, and guide it toward a godly marriage that honors You. If it is not Your will, give grace to accept it and peace that passes all understanding Philippians 4:6-7. We commit these days into Your keeping, trusting that Your love goes before us and dwells within us. In the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

We appreciated reading your prayer for these November days. Thank you for sharing so openly how much this first meeting means to you, and how carefully you are trying to entrust every part of it to the Lord.

There is a lot resting on these few days with travel on both sides, work leave, family at home, and the hopes you carry for what comes next. It makes sense you would feel both grateful and stretched as you wait. We are praying with you that you can stay grounded in seeking God's will above all, even as you make practical preparations.

One thing that often helps before a significant first visit is to keep trusted people close to the process. If you have not already, it may help to talk through expectations for the time together with a pastor or mature believer who knows you both, confirm all travel documents and leave approvals in writing ahead of time, and make a clear plan for communication and boundaries while you are together so the visit can be unhurried and respectful for you both.

Father, we bring this time in November to You and ask for Your protection over each flight and drive, Your peace for family and loved ones at home, and Your provision for every financial and work need. Give wisdom and clarity as decisions are made about the future, and help them to honor You in how they spend this time together. We trust You to lead step by step. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join with you in laying this matter before the throne of grace, that all your plans for these days in November may be brought into subjection to the perfect will of our heavenly Father.

You do well to surrender every detail into His hands, for happy is that man who waits upon God to know what he shall do and dares not lean upon his own understanding. You have asked for protection in travel and for favor in weather and in all the arrangements from the third to the eleventh of November. We pray with you for safety, yet we remind you of that precious truth that He shall give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways. He who travels on the King's highway is under the King's protection. There are ways in which safety is guaranteed, namely the appointed ways of obedience, of childlike trust in providential guidance, and of holding fast the truths which God has taught by His Spirit. Walk therein, and you may expect His keeping which is both personal and perpetual, for you will always need divine keeping. But he who takes to byroads must protect himself. Therefore let your journeys, whether by flight or by car, be undertaken with prayer and with a conscience void of offence toward God and man, and leave weather and delays and all contingencies to Him who orders all things well.

Concerning the affection between you and him for whom you pray, we must speak plainly and lovingly as the Scriptures speak. Marriage is a most holy and solemn covenant, not a thing of impulse or mere spark, but a union cemented by mutual love wherein two become one. It is the result of choice on both sides, a blessed choice, and it is not to be entered lightly. The Scriptures show us that our highest pattern is the marriage of the Lamb, where Christ as the Lamb proved His love by His wounds and blood, and His people are betrothed unto Him by inseparable bonds. There is no true marriage without the Bridegroom, and there will be no marriage between your soul and Christ if you will not have Him as the Lamb. See to it first that you are both betrothed to Him by living faith, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and apart from Him no earthly union can be blessed.

If it be the Lord's will that you should be joined together, then let that union be after the divine idea, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, entered into deliberately, with the counsel of family and friends and the oversight of the church, and kept pure. Sex and living together belong only within that covenant. We cannot ask God to bless what would run contrary to His holy ordinance. Therefore while you share time together and with family and friends, let all be done in purity and honour, with watchfulness over heart and conduct, that you may be kept from folly and transgression and may create memories that are without reproach. Pray not only for an undeniable spark, but for clear discernment, for grace to see one another as you are, and for a love that is genuine and enduring because it is rooted in Christ. The marriage supper of the Lamb teaches us that long expectation is fulfilled in God's appointed day, and they are blessed who are called there. Wait upon the Lord's timing for an earthly marriage also, whether it lead to a petition for a fiancee visa or to another path which He in wisdom may appoint.

We bring before the Lord your work and the granting of leave, that you may redeem the time and serve with excellence, and your financial needs, for He is our Provider who can open doors and remove the burden of worry. We pray for those left behind, for his mother and for your loved ones, and for his brother who keeps watch at home, and for the care of all entrusted to you, that they may be kept safe and at peace. We pray also for the precious time you hope to share with family and friends, that it may be filled with warmth that comes from godly fellowship.

We commit these days into His keeping, trusting not in our own plans but in His love which goes before us and dwells within us. May the Lord grant you not merely what you desire, but what is best, and may He conform your desires to His own. We will continue to pray that you both may be found walking in His appointed ways, pure, prayerful, and wholly surrendered to Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord with thanksgiving, and we join you in surrendering every detail of these days to His perfect will and wisdom.

We pray first that Christ would be your guide and your hope in all of this. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and every good plan must begin there, with both hearts rooted in Him, sober and watchful as those who walk a narrow way. We ask that God would give you both clarity, self control and a bridle over words and desires, casting aside disorderly lusts and seeking what is holy and pure before Him.

We do not ask God to simply grant a spark or to bless time together for its own sake, but to form in you both a genuine love that is patient, truthful and self giving, the kind of love that belongs within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. If it is His will that this relationship move toward marriage, we pray He would make that clear through godly counsel, through the witness of family and the church, and through a shared commitment to follow Him. If not, we pray He would give you grace to see it and to accept His better way. In either case we pray you will keep clear boundaries in this meeting, honoring God with your bodies, not living together or sharing what belongs only within marriage, but using this time to know one another with honesty, modesty and accountability.

For your travels from November ### to ### we ask the Lord for safety on every flight and journey and for His mercy over weather and all practical matters. We pray also for your work, that your leave would be handled with integrity and diligence, and that you would serve faithfully where God has placed you. We pray for provision for every financial need, trusting that He who is our provider will supply what is needed and teach you to be content and free from anxious worry.

We lift up those at home, mothers, brothers, friends and even the daily cares left behind, asking God to keep them in health and peace while you are away. May your time with family and friends be filled with kindness and edifying speech that builds up the common good, remembering that we are not to seek only our own joy but to encourage and strengthen one another in Christ.

Above all we pray that you would not grow weary near the end of the road but would continue in faith and virtue to the end, trusting His promises and waiting with patience for what He has prepared. May all your plans be held loosely in His hands, seeking first His kingdom, and may His will be done in your lives as it is in heaven.

We commit you to the mercy and keeping of our Lord Jesus Christ, asking for wisdom, purity, protection and joy in Him whatever the outcome. Amen.
