We are deeply concerned to hear about your mother’s health struggles and her refusal to take her prescribed medicines. This is a matter that weighs heavily on our hearts, and we come before the Lord together in prayer, seeking His mercy, wisdom, and healing for her.
First, we must acknowledge that God is the ultimate healer, and His Word reminds us in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* However, we also know that God often works through the means He has provided—including medicine, doctors, and the wisdom He gives to those in the medical field. Proverbs 19:20 tells us, *"Hear counsel, receive instruction, and accept correction, that you may be wise in the time to come."* Refusing medical treatment when it is needed can be a form of rejecting the provision and wisdom God has made available to us.
We must also gently but firmly rebuke any spirit of rebellion, fear, or mistrust that may be influencing her decision. In James 4:17, we are reminded, *"To him therefore who knows to do good, and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin."* If your mother knows that taking her medicine is the right and responsible choice, yet she refuses, this is a matter that must be addressed with love and truth.
