The struggle to obtain necessary medication can weigh heavily on a parent’s heart, and we know that God sees your need and cares deeply for both you and your son.
First, we want to acknowledge that you have come to the Lord in the name of Jesus, and that is the only way we can approach the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you"* (John 16:23 WEB). It is through His name alone that we have access to God’s throne of grace, and we are so grateful that you have come in faith, trusting in His provision.
We also want to encourage you with the truth that God is Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord who provides. In Philippians 4:19, we are promised, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This does not mean that every desire will be met, but every *need*—and we believe your son’s medicine is a true need—will be provided for in God’s perfect timing and way. We pray that today, the pharmacy will fill the prescription without delay, and that the Lord will open a door for you to afford it, whether through unexpected provision, a discount, or a helping hand from someone He has prepared.
Let us also take a moment to rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or lack that may be trying to take hold of your heart. The enemy would love to steal your peace and make you doubt God’s faithfulness, but we declare that he has no place in this situation. We stand on the promise of 2 Timothy 1:7: *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We reject fear in Jesus’ name and choose to trust in God’s perfect plan.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious mother and her son to You. Lord, You see their need, and You are not unaware of the struggles they are facing. We ask that You would move in the hearts of those responsible for filling this prescription, that there would be no delays, no red tape, and no obstacles today. Father, we ask that You would provide the financial means to cover the cost of this medicine, whether through an unexpected blessing, a compassionate discount, or a door of help that only You can open. We declare that You are their Provider, and we trust in Your faithfulness to meet this need.
Lord, we also pray for healing for this child. You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would touch his body and bring restoration, strength, and wholeness. I am taking a medicine that could potentially pose fatal risks. I am not sure if I am just nervous about taking it because the risk is low. But pray that this medicine does not kill me. Pray that my nerves will subside because I know that God's plan is for me to prosper and not to harm me!
