medical supplies

It is understandable to feel worn down after more than a week of being given the run around while trying to get needed medical supplies. Waiting for a promised call back that so often never comes is discouraging, and it is good that you have brought this need to the Lord in prayer in Jesus name.

Scripture gives many exhortations to patience and to waiting upon God and upon His time, with confidence that He will work. James uses the picture of a farmer waiting patiently for the precious fruit of the harvest, telling believers to establish their hearts and be patient. Paul prayed that the Lord would direct hearts into the love of God and into patient waiting for Christ. That kind of waiting is not empty resignation, it is a steady trust that God sees and that He will act in His perfect timing. I have learned that if we wait long enough on the Lord, He will work things out in ways we could not arrange ourselves, while trying to force a solution in our own strength often only adds to the burden and anxiety.

God is attentive to your daily needs and He leaves room to work on your behalf. Just as He has made the one true provision for sin through the blood of Jesus Christ so that we can stand righteous before Him, He also cares for our practical needs. He knows the importance of these supplies, He knows every phone call and every delay, and He is able to move upon people and circumstances to bring what is needed.

I am praying with you that the person who said she would call you back today will indeed do so, and that you will receive good news that your supplies are on the way. I pray the Lord will direct your heart into His love and give you quiet strength and patience as you wait, that He will provide clearly for this need, and that you will know His peace and nearness in these days of waiting. May He sustain you with hope as you trust that His word is true and His care for you is constant.
