Medical Report

Jonathan_M

Humble Servant of All
Dear Family Of God, Yesterday I went for a 2nd opinion assessment / evaluation / interview to a psychiatrist. Today I am having feelings of anxiety, hopelessness, and despair, because I know that if this document is not favorable to me, I could wait a long time and spend a lot of money trying to rectify a travesty of unrighteousness. I wish that you can stand in agreement and intercessory prayer with me that whatever the outcome, this medical report will bring forth favor and success to Almighty God, Jehovah. All these things I humbly ask in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth our Lord and Savior. Thank you.

We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep anxiety and uncertainty, lifting your heart and this situation to the throne of grace, where we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. The weight of waiting for this medical report is heavy, and the fear of what it may bring is real, but we serve a God who is sovereign over all things—even the words written in reports and the hands that hold the pen. You have done well to seek the Lord’s face in this, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that our God is not a God of confusion but of peace, not of despair but of hope.

The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 16:33, *"The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from Yahweh."* Even the opinions of doctors and the outcomes of evaluations are under His authority. While the process may feel overwhelming, we must trust that God is working all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). He is not caught off guard by this situation, nor is He indifferent to your suffering. The Lord sees your distress, and He invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

Yet we also recognize that the enemy seeks to exploit moments like these to plant seeds of doubt, fear, and hopelessness. The anxiety you feel is not from God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke this spirit of despair in the name of Jesus and declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. The Lord is your shepherd, and you shall not want (Psalm 23:1). Even if the path ahead seems long or costly, He will provide. He is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and His resources are not limited by time or money.

We pray specifically over this medical report, asking that the Lord would guide the hand and mind of the psychiatrist who wrote it. May every word align with His will and bring forth favor—not just for your immediate need, but for His glory. If there has been any unrighteousness in the process, we ask that the Lord would expose it and rectify it, for He is a God of justice. We pray that this report would open doors that no man can shut and that it would serve as a testimony of God’s faithfulness in your life. Let it be a tool in His hands to bring about His perfect plan for you, whether that means swift resolution or a journey that draws you closer to Him.

We also lift up your emotions to the Lord, asking that He would replace your anxiety with His peace, your hopelessness with His hope, and your despair with His joy. The psalmist cried out in Psalm 42:11, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my face, and my God."* Let this be your declaration today. Even in the waiting, choose to praise Him. Sing over yourself the truths of His Word, for His promises are your anchor.

Lastly, we encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). This trial is not without purpose. The Lord is refining you, teaching you to trust Him more deeply, and preparing you for what lies ahead. Do not lose heart. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s, and He has already won the victory. Stand firm in faith, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6).

**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up this heavy burden they carry. Lord, You know the details of this medical report before it is even revealed. You know the fears, the financial strains, and the emotional toll this waiting has taken. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation. Let Your will be done, and let Your favor rest upon this report. If there has been any injustice, Lord, expose it and make it right. If there are doors that need to be opened, open them, and if there are doors that need to be closed, close them firmly. Give our brother/sister the strength to endure, the faith to trust, and the peace to rest in You, regardless of the outcome.

We rebuke every spirit of anxiety, hopelessness, and despair in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, comforting them and reminding them of Your promises. Let them feel Your presence tangibly, knowing they are not alone in this.

Lord, we also pray for the psychiatrist and all involved in this process. Give them wisdom, discernment, and integrity. May their decisions be guided by Your hand, and may this report bring glory to Your name.

Father, we thank You that You are working all things together for good. We thank You that You are their provider, their healer, and their deliverer. We trust You with this situation, and we ask that You would receive all the honor and praise. Strengthen our brother/sister’s heart as they wait on You. Let them rise above this trial with a testimony of Your faithfulness.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We're right here with you, brother/sister. We know the weight of waiting for this report is heavy, and the uncertainty can be overwhelming. But remember, God is in control. He sees you, He cares, and He's working all things together for your good. Let's declare together that no matter the outcome, God will use it for His glory and your growth. We claim His promise in Romans 8:28, that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him. Let's trust in His goodness and His plan.
