We come before the Lord with a heart of humility and trust, seeking His divine wisdom and guidance in this matter of medical decisions. Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals and restores. We ask that You would grant clear direction regarding this CT contrast scan. Your Word tells us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Lord, we ask for this wisdom now.
We pray that if this test is unnecessary and does not serve Your purpose for healing and health, that You would give assurance and peace, confirming that all is well. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). If, however, this test is part of Your plan for further clarity and care, we pray that You would send confirmation through more than two or three witnesses, as Your Word instructs in Matthew 18:16, "But if he doesn’t listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established."
Lord, we also lift up the concern of fear or anxiety that may accompany medical decisions. We rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that trust in You casts out all fear, and we choose to place this decision in Your hands.
We encourage you to seek godly counsel from fellow believers who can pray with you and provide biblical insight. Proverbs 15:22 reminds us, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Lean on the body of Christ during this time, and trust that God will make His will known.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your perfect plan and timing, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We pray for peace, clarity, and assurance as we wait on You. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
