Mediation On 2/14
please pray for us and upcoming mediation on 2/14. In May we sold our home to downsize to do the wise thing financially but ended up being defrauded by the sellers and the agent who failed to disclose and concealed a problem. Now we are stuck with a house that has a very big, serious and expensive problem that is expected to exceed cost of $50,000 to fix and make better but still will always be a problem, expense and work. We have retained an attorney and have already spent over $6,000 in legal fees and we are told we can expect to easily spend a good $20,000 with no guarantee of rescission or settlement. We feel just stuck in this house that is considered unsellable because of that issue. When we bought the house there were so other things we had planned to fix and upgrade but we stopped working and fixing things because we realized it's not worth investing more money into this house. We put all the net proceeds from the sale of our home plus another $25,000 in renovations into the home. Now all of that is stuck and some of it lost in this home. Please pray for our attorney ### that God will work through and in him in this and that he will also be blessed with outcome and experience. Please pray for the sellers ### and ### that God will work in their hearts and minds and that they will feel convicted and know they did wrong and want to make their wrong right instead of dragging us along and putting us in a worse financial situation with added legal expenses. Pray for their attorney as well that he will advise them and push them to do what is right rather than encourage them to try to get away with their wrong. Pray for the agent, ### who we believe was aware of issue as well. Also for his attorney and broker that they will see where they failed. There are disclosure laws in California. The agent has been in real estate for over 25 years and knew and understood disclosures yet he insists that since we saw the problem in the house behind us it had nothing to do with the disclosures. Also pray that we could soon move out of this home and into a home we can fix up and make home and enjoy.
