Mean disrespectful dismissive coworker

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Her name is ### she acts like I am invisible super mean and disrespectful, I hope to not see her around or meet her but when I see her in passing she is just super arrogant and mean there other staff that are racists and discriminating too. Please pray so God intervenes.

We hear the deep pain and frustration in your words as you describe the hurtful behavior of your coworker and others in your workplace. The disrespect, dismissal, and arrogance you’ve experienced are not only unprofessional but also contrary to the love and kindness God calls us to show one another. Scripture reminds us in **Ephesians 4:29**, *"Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."* What you’re facing is not just rudeness—it is a violation of the dignity God has given every person, including you.

We must also address the racism and discrimination you’ve mentioned, for these are grievous sins in God’s eyes. **James 2:9** warns, *"But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors."* God does not tolerate injustice, and neither should we. The workplace should be a place of mutual respect, not hostility or division. We stand with you in prayer against these evils, asking God to expose and dismantle them in His perfect justice.

First, we rebuke the spirit of arrogance, disrespect, and racism in the name of Jesus. These attitudes have no place in the body of Christ or in any workplace. **Proverbs 16:18** declares, *"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."* We pray that God humbles those who are acting in pride and opens their eyes to their sin. We also ask for protection over your heart, that bitterness or resentment does not take root. **Hebrews 12:15** cautions, *"Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it."*

We lift this situation to the Lord, asking Him to intervene in power. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach You and find salvation (**Acts 4:12**). Lord, You see the pain and frustration this sister in Christ is enduring. You know the names of those who have mistreated her, and You will judge every word and action. We ask that You soften the hearts of those who are acting in disrespect and racism. Break their pride, Lord, and replace it with humility. Open their eyes to see the value You place on every person, for **Genesis 1:27** tells us that every human is made in Your image.

We pray for wisdom and strength for our sister as she navigates this difficult environment. Give her the grace to respond with dignity and love, even when others do not. Help her to remember **Romans 12:21**, *"Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."* When she encounters this coworker, fill her with Your peace and remind her that her worth is not defined by how others treat her, but by how You see her. You call her beloved, chosen, and fearfully and wonderfully made (**Psalm 139:14**).

Lord, we ask that You remove this toxic atmosphere from her workplace. If it is Your will, either change the hearts of those causing harm or remove them from her path. We trust in Your promise from **Romans 8:28**, that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Give her patience and endurance, and let her see Your hand at work in this situation.

We also pray for unity and reconciliation where possible. If there is an opportunity for restoration, let it be guided by Your Spirit. But if not, we ask that You provide her with a way out—whether through a change in her work environment or a new opportunity where she is valued and respected. **Psalm 37:5-6** says, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."*

Finally, we declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**). We cover her in the blood of Jesus and ask for Your angels to encamp around her, protecting her from harm and discouragement. Fill her with Your joy and peace, Lord, so that she may rise above this trial and shine as a light in a dark place.

We stand on Your Word, Father, and trust that You will bring justice and healing in this situation. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We've been thinking about you and the tough situation you're facing at work. It's heartbreaking to hear about the disrespect and arrogance you've had to endure, and the racism and discrimination you've witnessed. It's not fair, and it's not right. But we want you to know that you're not alone. We're here with you, lifting this up to the Lord.

We've been praying that God would intervene, that He would soften the hearts of those who are causing you pain. We've been asking that He would give you strength and wisdom to navigate this tough environment, and that He would fill you with His peace and love, even when others don't show the same.

We've also been reminding ourselves, and we want to remind you, that your worth is not defined by how others treat you. You are beloved, chosen, and fearfully and wonderfully made. God sees you, He knows your pain, and He is with you.

We're trusting in God's promise that He works all things together for good for those who love Him. We're asking for patience and endurance, and we're believing that God will use this situation to bring about good in your life.

And we're declaring that no weapon formed against you will prosper. We're covering you in the blood of Jesus, and we're asking God to fill you with His joy and peace.

Keep standing strong, sister. We're in this with you, and we're believing for a breakthrough. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this difficult time at work. It’s clear that the disrespect and hostility you’ve faced from this coworker—and others—has been deeply painful, and we’ve been lifting you up before the Lord, asking Him to intervene in a mighty way.

We’ve prayed for God’s peace to guard your heart, for wisdom in how to respond (or not respond) in moments of conflict, and for His justice to prevail in that environment. We’ve asked the Holy Spirit to soften hearts, to expose any unrighteousness, and to bring about a change—whether that means transformation in your coworker’s attitude, a shift in the workplace culture, or even a divine redirection for you if that’s His will.

If God has already moved in this situation—whether through a change in her behavior, a resolution you’ve found, or even just a deeper sense of His presence carrying you—we would love to hear a praise report! Your testimony could encourage others who are facing similar struggles.

If, however, the situation remains unchanged or feels heavier, please don’t hesitate to post this as a new request. We’re committed to continuing in prayer with you, asking the Lord to fight this battle on your behalf and to turn what the enemy meant for harm into something that glorifies Him.

Above all, we pray that you would feel the Father’s love wrapping around you like a shield, reminding you that you are seen, valued, and never alone. May He give you strength for each day and fill you with His hope as you keep your eyes on Him.

In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
