Father we thank You for ordaining government through Adam, Gen 1:27, and Pray for Our Presidents, V.P.s, Secretaries of State and Defense, DOJ, Congress (House and Senate, Parliaments, Legislators) Federal Judges and Supreme Court Justices that need our prayers and support. We ask that they rule as submitted to God and rule well in accord with Scripture, as "Rulers are to write for themselves a copy of the Law of GOD upon inauguration," Deut 17:18. Furthermore, we ask for wisdom, guidance, godliness and unity for our nation's defense: The Pentagon, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Generals, Military Commanders and other Bureaus, Intelligence, and those of all peoples who need Christ, Your wisdom and Your sovereignty (which we participate with GOD in governing, Gen 1:26, Ps 115:16, through cooperating with His intentions and ways, Ps 86:11, through Your Word, Deut 17:18, Josh 8:32, 2 Tim 3:15-16, God-given Counsel, Prov 11:14, Prov 24:6, and Prayer, Gen 1:26, Ps 115:16, 1 Tim 2:1-4).

Father, we seek first Your Kingdom and Righteousness, Matt 6:33, we cry out for wisdom and protection continually Ps 72:15, Luke 18:1, Eph 1:16, for these human individuals in positions of world influence, Rom 13:4, asking Your mercy, guidance and counsel from Your Word, and protection. Keep them from the evil one, 2 Kings 6:12, Jn 17:15, imposters and evil people, 2 Tim 3:13, let them turn away from such false people, 2 Tim 3:5, and let the evil ones be replaced, Ps 75:6-7, Ps 109:8, Acts 1:20.

We concede that there are no perfect rulers and actually see the wisdom in asking, "Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven, Matt 6:10, and pray as the Disciples, Paul and John do, "Come Lord Jesus,"1 Cor 16:22, Rev 22:20...

In the interim, let these leaders know what to do, James 1:5, what to set as priorities and help them FULLY carry out Your purposes in their generation, as King David served Your purposes, Acts 13:36. Keep them from sin, 1 Cor 8:1, lead them NOT into temptation, Luke 11:4, yes we ask, lead them not into temptation, deliver them from all evil, Matt 6:13, even the evil one, Rev 12:9, Jn 17:15. It is written, You will keep them from the evil one, 2 Thes 3:3. You will give Your angels charge over them, Ps 91:11-13. Thank You in advance, Matt 11:23-24, as we trust in You with all our hearts and pray, not lean on our own understanding, Prov 3:5-6, in Jesus Name, since there is "no other Name given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, John 14:6, 1 Tim 2:5, again with thanksgiving we offer these requests, let now the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, The Amen, Faithful Witness and Originator of God's New Creation, Rev 3:14, even the Name of Jesus Christ, from whose Full Inheritance we each receive blessing after blessing, John 1:16, Eph 1:3, Eph 1:17-20, and in Him all God's Promises are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join you in this earnest cry that Messiah would reign through those who are recreated according to His image and we say amen to your desire to pray according to His Word.

We are encouraged by your heart to see leaders rule in the fear of God. Scripture says in Genesis 1:26 God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion, and in Genesis 1:27 God created man in his own image. In Christ we are made new, for if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, 2 Corinthians 5:17, and we are being renewed to bear His likeness again. We agree that this is the foundation for godly rule, that those in authority would first be transformed by salvation and then walk in His wisdom.

We echo your prayer for spiritual and earthly rulers according to 1 Timothy 2:1-4 where we are exhorted to make petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. We also remember Proverbs 21:1 that the king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses, he turns it wherever he desires, and Romans 13:1 that there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God, and Romans 13:4 that the ruler is a servant of God to you for good.

Your appeal from 2 Samuel 23:3-4 is our prayer as well, that he who rules over men righteously, who rules in the fear of God, shall be as the light of the morning when the sun rises, a morning without clouds, when the tender grass springs out of the earth, through clear shining after rain. And we join you in praying as Deuteronomy 17:18 instructs, that rulers would write for themselves and keep a copy of the law of God before them and read it all the days of their lives, that they may learn to fear Yahweh and keep His Word, and that they would seek wisdom as James 1:5 promises, if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

We agree in asking for protection and restraint of evil according to your petitions. We ask the Father to deliver our leaders from the evil one as Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew 6:13, deliver us from the evil one, and as 2 Thessalonians 3:3 declares, the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, and John 17:15 where Jesus prayed not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one. We ask that He would give His angels charge over them as Psalm 91:11 says, for he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, for angels are ministering spirits sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation, Hebrews 1:14. We plead the blood of Jesus which speaks a better word than that of Abel, Hebrews 12:24, for it is the blood shed for the forgiveness of sins and our only ground of access to the Father.

We pray for our presidents, vice presidents, secretaries, legislators, judges, justices, generals, commanders and all in authority, that God would surround them with good counsel, for with wise guidance you wage your war, and victory is in many advisors, Proverbs 24:6, and that He would remove those who plot evil and establish those who will do justly, for promotion does not come from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, but God is the judge, he puts down one, and lifts up another, Psalm 75:6-7, and let his office another take, Psalm 109:8 and Acts 1:20. We ask that falsehood, imposters and evil plans be exposed and restrained, for evil men and impostors will grow worse, deceiving and being deceived, 2 Timothy 3:13, and that leaders would turn away from such, having a form of godliness but denying its power, turn away from these, 2 Timothy 3:5.

We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me, John 14:6, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5. It is only through Him that our prayers are heard and that rulers or any of us can be saved, and we rejoice that you have centered this intercession on Him.

So we pray together, Father, we seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, Matthew 6:33, and we pray Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, Matthew 6:10. We ask that You grant salvation to leaders who do not yet know You, grant wisdom to those who do, keep them from sin and from temptation, guide them to set right priorities and to fully carry out Your purposes in their generation as David served Your purposes in his generation, Acts 13:36. Guard them and their households, their churches and ours, let Your peace guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7, as we offer these requests with thanksgiving, Philippians 4:6. We trust You with all our hearts and do not lean on our own understanding, Proverbs 3:5-6, and we look for the blessed hope, praying as the apostles did, Come, Lord Jesus, Revelation 22:20, knowing that in Him all the promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Corinthians 1:20, and from His fullness we have all received grace upon grace, John 1:16. We ask all this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We appreciate the faithfulness and care behind your prayer. It is clear you love the Lord and you long to see His ways shape our homes, churches, and the halls where decisions are made. Carrying that burden can feel heavy, and we want you to know we are standing with you in it.

What you are doing matters. Lifting leaders and nations before God is quiet, steady work that often goes unseen, yet God delights to hear His people ask for wisdom, mercy and protection for those in authority. You do not need perfect words or to cover every name every time to pray well. A simple, consistent rhythm is often more sustaining than trying to hold everything at once.

If it would help, you might choose a small focus each day, perhaps one group of leaders or one concern the Lord puts on your heart that morning, and bring them before Him briefly and honestly. Praying with one or two others when you can can also bring encouragement and keep the burden shared.

We are praying with you and for you as you continue to seek Him.

Father, we thank You for Your sovereignty and mercy. We ask You to give wisdom and integrity to those who govern, to guard them from evil and deception, and to draw many to know Jesus. Your prayer for Christ to reign through those who are made anew in His image is heard with thankfulness, and we join you in it before the throne of grace. It is good to remember the gracious acts of God in the past and to plead His promises for the present, for He has established an everlasting covenant ordered and secured in every part, and He will bring about full salvation for those who trust in His Son.

We unite with you in asking that our Lord Jesus, to whom all authority in heaven and on earth has been given, would rule by His Word in the hearts of His people and over the counsels of nations. We pray as the apostle exhorts, that supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way, and that many may be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth which is in Christ alone. For there is no other name given among men by which we must be saved, and Jesus has borne the wrath of God for sinners, making full atonement by His precious blood which speaks better things than the blood of Abel.

We ask the God of peace to give to presidents, vice presidents, legislators, judges, and all who bear responsibility in government, wisdom and good counsel, that they may rule with justice in the fear of God, like the light of morning at sunrise. We pray that they would turn to the Scriptures for guidance, that they would be kept from falsehood and from evil plans, and that every scheme of darkness would be restrained and overruled. We pray that the Lord would keep His people from the evil one, for our Savior Himself prayed, keep them from the evil one, and we know His intercession prevails and goes before temptation. What a protection is our Savior's pleading for us, and what a refuge we have in the bosom of Christ and at the mercy seat in times of ordinary providence as well as in great trials.

We entreat the Lord also to loose His ministering spirits to guard and to give charge over those who seek Him, and to grant to His Church a spirit of earnest prayer, not that which foams itself away in words, but prayer with force and humble boldness, agonizing together as brethren, persevering in private and in the assembly. Religion is not a thing for churches and chapels alone, but for every sphere where God has placed us, and we prove the sincerity of our prayers when we seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and labor to live for His glory where He has left us for a season.

May the Lord hear and answer according to His will, raise up sleepy hearts, revive His Church, and let the peace of God guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We continue to pray that His kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven, until our Lord comes, for Jesus sake. Amen.

Your prayer has been received and we join our hearts with yours in asking that Christ may reign in and through those who are recreated in His image.

We give thanks for your faithful intercession for those in authority, for presidents and vice presidents, for legislators and judges, for generals and all who bear responsibility for the protection of peoples. Scripture commands us to make such prayers, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness, and that all people may be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name given among men by which we must be saved.

You have asked rightly that rulers would have good counsel and would walk in the fear of God. The Word tells a ruler to write for himself a copy of the law, that he may learn to fear the Lord and not turn aside. Yet we are reminded that a change in the form of government by itself does not make a people virtuous. Whether under leaders of one kind or another, without the wisdom that comes from above, people remain in the same evil ways. And that wisdom is not the wisdom of this world, nor of the rulers of this world who are coming to nothing. The wisdom of this world, when it trusts only in itself, proves to be foolishness, and it ends here and cannot profit those who hold it. But the wisdom of God, hidden and foreordained before the ages, is true wisdom, and when we have Christ Himself we have been made wisdom from God. This is the wisdom we must ask for our leaders, that they would not be blind guides but would see clearly by the light of God's Word.

We also hear your plea for protection, that the evil one would be restrained and his plans intercepted, that falsehood and deceit would be exposed, and that angels would be given charge. We join you in pleading the blood of Jesus, which speaks a better word than the blood of Abel, over homes and families, churches and pastors, and over those who govern. We ask the Father to keep them from the evil one and to deliver them from temptation, to lead them not into evil but to establish their steps in His ways.

Do not grow weary in this praying. Prayer is able to accomplish great things, and nothing renders the heart so wise as to come before God in humility and contrition, trusting not in our own understanding but in Him. As you continue to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, we pray that God will give to these leaders wisdom to know what to do and grace to carry out His purposes in their generation, and above all that they and many others would turn to Christ and be saved.

We stand with you, asking the Father to grant wisdom, guidance and godliness to those in authority, to replace what is evil with what is good according to His will, and to guard your own heart and mind with the peace of God in Christ Jesus until He comes.
