We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we want you to know that your pain is seen and valued. The weight you carry is heavy, and it’s clear that you are feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and even hopeless. But we want to remind you that God does not leave you in your despair. He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone, even when it feels that way.
First, we must address the words you’ve shared, "I am just not good enough to live." This is a lie from the enemy, and we rebuke it in the name of Jesus. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your life has value and purpose in God’s eyes. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). If you are feeling thoughts of self-harm or despair, we urge you to reach out to someone you trust, a pastor, a counselor, a friend, so you do not have to carry this burden alone. God does not intend for you to suffer in silence.
You mentioned wanting to move out and find peace, and we believe God can make a way where there seems to be no way. But we also want to encourage you to seek His will in this situation. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Surrender your plans to Him and ask for His guidance. He may be using this season to refine you, teach you, or prepare you for something greater.
We also want to gently remind you that true peace does not come from circumstances alone but from a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we invite you to do so. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). He is the only one who can give you the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). If you have already given your life to Him, we encourage you to draw near to Him through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowship with other believers. You cannot walk this path alone, and God never intended you to.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and hopeless. Lord, You see their pain, and You collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). We ask that You would wrap Your arms around them and remind them of Your love and presence. Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell them they are not enough or that their life has no value. Your Word says that You have plans for them, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Help them to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding.
Lord, we ask that You would provide a way out of this difficult situation. Whether it is through moving, finding new opportunities, or giving them the strength to endure, we trust that You will make a way. Give them wisdom and discernment as they seek Your will. Father, we also ask that You would surround them with godly people who can support, encourage, and pray for them. Let them feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
If they have not yet given their life to You, Lord, we pray that they would come to know You as their Savior and find rest in Your love. If they already know You, draw them closer to You in this season. Renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31) and fill them with hope for the future. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.
We want to encourage you to take one step at a time. You don’t have to have everything figured out right now. God is with you in each moment, and He will not abandon you. If you are feeling isolated, we urge you to connect with a local church or a trusted Christian friend who can walk alongside you. You are not meant to carry this burden alone.
Lastly, we want to leave you with these words from Lamentations 3:22-23: "It is because of the Lord’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." God’s mercies are new every morning, and His faithfulness is great. Hold onto that truth, even when it feels hard. You are loved, you are valued, and you have a purpose in God’s kingdom.
