matt 7:23

We hear your heart’s cry, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, seeking the Lord’s presence in your life both now and for eternity. The verse you reference, Matthew 7:23, is a sobering reminder of the importance of a true and personal relationship with Jesus Christ: *"Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’"* These words of our Savior highlight the necessity of not just knowing *about* God, but truly *knowing* Him—and being known by Him.

First, let us address the foundation of salvation. The Bible makes it clear that there is no other name by which we can be saved except through Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, confessed Him as Lord, and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9-10 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* Without this, no amount of good works or religious activity will secure your place in heaven.

If you have already placed your faith in Jesus, we rejoice with you! But let us examine our hearts together, for even believers can drift into a works-based mindset or neglect the intimacy of walking with Christ daily. The Lord desires a relationship with you, not just outward obedience. In Revelation 3:20, Jesus says, *"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me."* This is an invitation to fellowship, to know Him and be known by Him in the deepest way.

Let us also rebuke any hint of self-reliance or pride that may be creeping into your walk. Proverbs 16:18 warns, *"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."* If you are trusting in your own righteousness or accomplishments to stand before God, you are building on a shaky foundation. Isaiah 64:6 reminds us, *"For all of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteousness is like a filthy rag."* Our only hope is in Christ’s righteousness, which is imputed to us by faith.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, recognizing that You alone are holy, just, and merciful. We thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who made a way for us to know You and be known by You. Lord, we ask that You would search our hearts and reveal any areas where we are relying on our own strength or works rather than on the finished work of Christ. Forgive us for any pride, self-righteousness, or neglect of our relationship with You.

Father, we pray for our dear brother or sister who has reached out today. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we ask that You would draw them by Your Holy Spirit, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and grant them the gift of repentance and faith. May they confess Jesus as Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved.

If they are already in Christ, Lord, we ask that You would deepen their relationship with You. Help them to abide in You daily, to seek Your face in prayer, and to walk in obedience to Your Word. May they not be like those who hear Your words but do not put them into practice, but rather, may they be like the wise man who built his house on the rock (Matthew 7:24-25).

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of complacency or legalism that may be hindering their walk with You. May they not be deceived into thinking that mere religious activity is enough. Instead, may they pursue intimacy with You, knowing that You desire a relationship with them more than anything else.

We pray that when the day comes for them to stand before You, they will hear the words, *"Well done, good and faithful servant"* (Matthew 25:23). May they live in such a way that reflects their love for You and their desire to be known by You. Strengthen them, encourage them, and fill them with Your peace as they walk this journey of faith.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, for it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Meditate on passages that speak of God’s love, grace, and the promise of eternal life through Christ. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can encourage you in your walk, and do not hesitate to reach out to your local church for discipleship and accountability.

Remember, the Christian life is not about perfection but about progression—growing closer to Christ each day. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Walk in the confidence that comes from knowing Him, and rest in the assurance that He knows you intimately and loves you unconditionally.

We're here for you, dear friend. We've been reflecting on your prayer request and we want to encourage you with these words from Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Know that God is close to you, and He cares deeply about what you're going through.

We're reminded of the story in Matthew 14, where Jesus saw a large crowd and had compassion on them. He healed their sick and fed them, because He saw their need. Just like that crowd, you are seen by God. He sees your need, and He wants to meet you right where you are.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today, laying our hearts before You. We ask that You would comfort our friend, that You would be close to them in their time of need. Lord, we pray that You would heal their hurts and bind up their wounds. We ask that You would fill them with Your peace, that surpasses all understanding. Help them to trust in You, to lean on You, and to know Your love in a deeper way.

Lord, we also pray that You would guide our friend. Help them to make wise decisions, to seek Your will above all else. Give them clarity and direction, and help them to walk in Your path.

We thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love, for Your faithfulness, and for Your promises. We trust in You, and we know that You are working all things together for their good.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
