๐Ÿ™"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For itโ€™s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,โ€ Matt 6:9-13, Thank You in Jesus' Name.

[1] Jesus' Prayer He taught was an outline, summary of topics, a form or "pattern prayer." The following has been condensed from six reliable sources, is of much godly & personal value when sincerely prayed (not mindlessly repeated), but through serious consideration, understanding the weight of the petitions, ardently prayed, expecting answers, James 1:5-7, James 5:16-17... C.f., Matt 6:33, "But seek FIRST The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, THEN these other things shall be added to you." -- His Honor Kingdom Will; Then Our Provision Forgiveness for Us, Others (Relationship w/ The Holy Father and our holy brothers and sisters 1 Jn 1:7-9, Kept from Sin Evil, Standard & Personal Prayer Guide, Matt 6:9-13 and some Pertinent Scriptures under the Headings of Each Petition...

***๐Ÿ™Œ Our Father in Heaven, we first pause (reflect on Him with whom we are addressing as Father, The Holy One of Israel, and mostly as Gentiles at that, who loved us while we were yet sinners, strangers of the covenants and Scriptures, yes - even hostile in our minds -- and thank You. For all, but specifically for "loving the world (including us, me ๐Ÿฅฐ) so much You gave Your Only-begotten Son, that by believing in him we may be spared perdition and rather freely gain eternal life, Jn 3:16. Thank You "Jesus showed us The Father -- Your Nature," Jn 14:9. Thank You for His shed blood and died on the cross for our sins, 1 Cor 15:3-4, burial, resurrection declaring both Him and us "not guilty" Rom 4:25, and ascension (adoption, enthronement, Ps 110:1), as Son-of-Man-in-Power to pour out the Holy Spirit of Adoption from on high, by which we call out, Abba, Father, Gal 4:6, proving we are heirs, Gal 4:7, since as many as received Jesus and believed on His Name are called Children of God, John 1:12-13, praying even with the same language of intimacy, Abba, i.e., "Daddy" or "Papa, etc" as Jesus used in time of impending crisis for deliverance in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Abba, Father," Mark 14:36.

๐Ÿ™ Hallowed Be Your Name... May Your GRACIOUS and COMPASSIONATE NAME, Ex 34:6-7, get honor through our thoughts, words, deeds, speech, actions and reactions. May we honor and know You in every Name You have revealed about Yourself in The Scriptures -- Elohim, The Trinity, Beginning in Gen 1:1; The Name, Gen 4:26, El Elyon, God Most High, Gen 14:18, Adonai, Lord, Master, Gen 15:2; El Roi, The God Who Sees, Gen 16:13; El Shaddai, God Almighty, Gen 17:1; El Olam, The Everlasting God, Gen 21:33; Yahweh, The LORD, Jireh or Yireh, Our Provider, Gen 22:18; Healer, Peace, Shepherd, Righteousness, Presence, Sanctification, Our Rock, Fortress, Strong Tower, Etc... We honor and hallow ALL Your Titles, Attributes, Your Name! May Your Name not be used to curse or in vain, Ex 20:7, and may our lives and conduct cause it to be reverenced, not derided, Rom 2:24. May the world be enlightened or compelled to reverence Your ineffable Name and Your Christ's and May Your Glory cover the Earth as the waters cover the seas, Numbers 14:21, Ps 72:19, Isa 11:9, Hab 2:14, Phil 2:10-11...

๐Ÿ™ May Your Kingdom Come to us & through us with FRUIT, GIFTS, WISDOM, POWER & HOLINESS... FRUIT, of The Holy Spirit, see Rom 14:17 on what the Kingdom is -- His Righteousness, peace and joy, therefore ALL the fruit is an extension of His Kingdom, from love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Gal 5:22-23, truth, humility & justice, Ps 45:4, contentment, Lk 3:14, 1 Tim 6:6, Heb 13:5, Phil 4:11-13, doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God, Micah 6:8. You desire mercy, not sacrifice, Hos 6:6. We ask for the GIFTS of The Spirit to be evident in us, our churches, families, and to Your people throughout the world, from ministry GIFTS to equip The Body of Christ through Your Gospel Officers until we reach unity in faith and knowledge of The Son of God and the mature stature of Christ Himself, Eph 4:12-13, (which has not yet happened so such workers must of necessity still be present and are much needed, even required, apostles, (missionaries/church planters), prophets, (encouragers/exhorters/visionaries), evangelists, pastors and teachers), Eph 4:11-13, to The GIFTS of miracles (signs, wonders), healings, faith, prophecy, words of wisdom, knowledge, tongues, interpretation of such tongues, administration, leadership, giving, mercy, discerning of spirits, Rom 12:5-8, 1 Cor 12:4-11. POWER: Drive out demons by the finger of God, demonstrating The Kingdom of God, Lk 11:20, for The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power, 1 Cor 4:20. Mostly the POWER to live a Holy Life overflowing with LOVE for God and others, singing and making melody from "singing seminaries" and "the walking practice of evangelism" is the best fruit and sign of the Kingdom, Heb 12:4. ***We also want to ask for Jesus' Return, so we may experience a whole other realm, where we are redeemed, have peace with God, are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, are part of "New Creation" though only a "foretaste of the good things to come." The change our bodies will incur and all creation eagerly awaits is our hope in Romans 8 and latter Revelation and is where ALL of these things will be realized in a greater capacity and duration and God's Kingdom will have full expression once it's fully come on earth as it is heaven again -- the "not yet," -- "May Your Kingdom Come and Your Will be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven," Matt 6:10. May Jesus return and the Kingdom flourish, being fully manifest. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Rev 22:17, Rev 22:20.

๐Ÿ™ May Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- Keeping in mind the Kingdom Coming, as described above, in differing degrees, the already and the not yet, we ask here in the already that we may know, submit to and do Your will for our lives individually (hearing His voice, Jn 10:27, being led by the Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, as Jesus did during His time on earth, Phil 2:9-9, our whole lives be increasingly lived to please You, knowing the Trinity, living in Your presence moment by moment, and making You known as a by product, rejoicing in trials and weakness, as well as power demonstrations when it gives You glory, Mt 28:19-20, Rom 1:5, Rom 15:18. May we abide in Christ, with freedom to pray, and power to bear fruit, thereby making disciples, and thus proving we are disciples, John 15:7-8, might bear some fruit wherever we go, Rom 1:13, 1 Cor 9:2, 2 Cor 3:2-3, specifically by going, preaching faith in Jesus suffering and dying for our sins, repentance, baptism, forgiveness of sins and obedience to all that He commanded, and obedience to any personal directives, admonitions and restraints, being witnesses to these facts under His authority, commission by this union with Jesus through The Holy Spirit, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-48, Matt 28:19-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. May Your will be done on earth as You rule over the church and nations, Ps 22:28, and collectively as the church until You come to reward the righteous and recompense the wicked, 2 Cor 10:3-6, and arrive in fulness at the Return of Christ, Matt 24:30, Matt 25:31-32.

๐Ÿ™ Give us Each Day our Daily Bread: Spiritual -- we can't live by bread alone but every Word of God, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4. Meet our spiritual, emotional, social, physical and financial needs mightily, Phil 4:19, so we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30, and our neighbors, Mk 12:31, even the lost, Matt 9:36, and even enemies, Matt 5:44, as ourselves -- and see others as Christ, who looked beyond his own interests, to the interests of others, considering others as more important than we, Phil 2:1-5.

๐Ÿ™ Forgive Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors... We confess we've sinned against You, Rom 3:23, 1 Jn 1:8, 1 Jn 1:10 (name specific sins and areas of ongoing struggles), and others, receive forgiveness, Lk 1:77, & pray FOR those who sin against us, (by name and specific offenses), asking they'd repent and be saved, Job 42:7-16, entrusting their souls to a faithful creator and recognizing it is He who alone who is in fact the one appointed both to save and to judge, Romans 12:9, 1 Pet 4:19.

๐Ÿ™ Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation and evil, Luke 11:4, sin, 1 Cor 8:1, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, 2 Cor 11:16, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

๐Ÿ™Œ For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... (Not unto us O Lord, but unto Your Name Be Glory, Ps 115:1)... We Thank You for hearing, Mk 11:24, Amen, in Jesus' Name, in Him All The Promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join you in this beautiful meditation on the prayer our Lord taught His disciples and we thank you for sharing such a thoughtful and thorough outline of Matthew 6:9-13. You have rightly divided it and we agree with your understanding that Jesus gave this as a pattern for prayer, not as words to be mindlessly repeated.

We rejoice that you have centered your prayer in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. Your closing in Jesus' name honors this truth and we praise God for your faith in His shed blood, burial and resurrection according to 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 and the justification we have through Him, Romans 4:25.

Your twofold division is scripturally sound and reflects the very heart of Matthew 6:33 where we are told to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. The first petitions are indeed God-ward, that His name be kept holy, His Kingdom come, and His will be done. The second petitions are for our needs, our daily bread, our forgiveness and our relationships with others, and our deliverance from temptation and the evil one.

We love how you have lingered over Our Father who is in heaven. What a privilege that we who were once far off, strangers and even hostile in our minds, have now received adoption through Christ. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, Abba Father, Romans 8:15, and because you are children, God sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father, Galatians 4:6. We are no longer strangers but children, and we may come boldly because of John 1:12 and John 3:16. To hallow His name is to desire that His gracious and compassionate character revealed in Exodus 34:6-7 would be honored in our thoughts, words and deeds, and that we would not take His name in vain, Exodus 20:7, nor cause it to be blasphemed among others, Romans 2:24, but that His glory would fill the earth as the waters cover the sea, Habakkuk 2:14, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, Philippians 2:10-11.

Your petitions for His Kingdom to come with fruit, gifts, wisdom, power and holiness are deeply biblical. The Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, Romans 14:17, and its fruit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self-control, Galatians 5:22-23. We too long for His gifts to equip the Body until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, Ephesians 4:11-13, and for His power, for the Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power, 1 Corinthians 4:20, most of all the power to live a holy life of love. And we join you in praying Maranatha, Come, Lord Jesus, Revelation 22:20, for the already and the not yet, that His will would be done on earth as it is in heaven, that we would be led by the Spirit, Romans 8:14, abide in Christ and bear much fruit, John 15:7-8, and go and make disciples as He commanded, Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15, Acts 1:8.

We also affirm your understanding of the second half. Give us day by day our daily bread, Luke 11:3, reminds us that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, Matthew 4:4, and that our God will supply every need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19. Forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors touches the very heart of reconciliation. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9, and we are called to forgive as we have been forgiven, and to live as new creations where God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself and entrusted to us the ministry of reconciliation, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one echoes Jesus' own prayer that the Father would keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, for God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, 1 Corinthians 10:13.

We gently remind that Jesus warned, In praying, don't use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do, Matthew 6:7, so we join you in praying this pattern with understanding, weight and expectation, with faith without doubting, James 1:6, for the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results, James 5:16.

We pray together with you now.

Our Father who is in heaven, we hallow Your holy name and thank You for adopting us through Jesus Christ. May Your name be honored in our lives and in all the earth. May Your Kingdom come in power and holiness through us, bearing fruit and exercising gifts in love, and may Your will be done in our lives as it is in heaven, that we would hear Your voice, follow Your leading and make disciples who obey all You have commanded. Give us this day what we need for body and soul, feed us by Your Word and provide for every need. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who have sinned against us, cleanse us and make us ministers of reconciliation as new creations in Christ. Lead us away from temptation, deliver us from the evil one and from deception and evil, and guard us by Your angels, Psalm 91:11, and by Your Spirit. For Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the power and Yours is the glory forever. We ask this with thanksgiving, expecting Your answer, in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus, Amen.

We were grateful to read how thoughtfully you have been sitting with the prayer Jesus taught, not as words to repeat quickly but as a pattern to help you come to the Father with both reverence and trust. Your desire to put His honor and His kingdom first, and then bring your daily needs, your relationships, and your need to be kept from evil, is a good and steady way to pray.

We especially appreciated the pauses you built in to simply remember who you are speaking to. That unhurried attention is what keeps prayer from becoming mechanical and helps it stay personal. When we linger over each part and pray it in our own words, we often notice what is really on our hearts that day and can bring it honestly to Him.

If it would help this week, you might take one section each morning and pray it slowly for a few minutes, then sit quietly for a moment before moving on. No need to cover it all at once, just let one part shape your conversation with Him that day.

Father, thank You for drawing us close and letting us call You Father through Jesus. We ask You to form our hearts to honor Your name, to trust You for what we need today, to live in forgiveness before You and with others, and to keep us near You and away from evil. Teach us to seek You first and to rest in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is good that you have taken the prayer which our Lord taught His disciples not as a form to be mindlessly repeated but as a pattern after which all our praying may be shaped. When our Saviour said, Pray after this manner, He gave us a golden outline, that we might not heap up empty phrases as the heathen do, but come with understanding and with holy expectation that our Father heareth us.

Your meditation begins where all true prayer must begin, with the Father. That we who were strangers and enemies, dead in sin, should now through the blood and resurrection of Jesus Christ be adopted and taught to cry Abba, Father, is a wonder of grace. There is forgiveness with Him that He may be feared, and through the ransom which Infinite Love hath found and provided, we are delivered from going down to the pit. He hath delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son, and therefore we may draw near not as slaves but as children, and say, Our Father which art in heaven.

To pray Hallowed be Thy name is to desire above all things that His gracious and compassionate name, as He revealed it to Moses, and all His titles and attributes revealed in Scripture, may be reverenced in our own thoughts, words and deeds, and throughout the whole earth till His glory shall cover the world as the waters cover the sea. This is to separate ourselves from the defiled things of this present evil world and to seek positive holiness, that we may be sanctified and made fit for the Master's use.

Your petitions for His kingdom to come and His will to be done are after the mind of Christ who first prayed, Holy Father, keep them, and keep them from the evil, and sanctify them. The kingdom is not in word but in power, in righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts which He distributeth to His Church for the edifying of the body until we come to the full stature of Christ. To seek first this kingdom and His righteousness is to pray for His rule in our own hearts, in His Church, and among the nations, and to look with longing for that day when the Lord shall come and His will shall be done on earth even as it is done in heaven.

And then, as children taught to trust, we bring our daily needs. Give us this day our daily bread teacheth us dependence for every temporal and spiritual supply, for we live not by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors teacheth us to come confessing our sins, naming them before Him who is faithful and just to forgive, and to show that same mercy to those who have sinned against us, praying for their repentance and salvation and leaving judgment in the hands of Him who judgeth righteously. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil is the cry of one who knows his weakness and the snares of the evil one, and who would be kept not only from gross sin but from hardness and carnality, and be preserved unto perfect holiness. He is gracious unto us and saith, Deliver him, and He keepeth His own by His power and by the ministry of His holy angels.

For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. All power in heaven and earth is given unto our risen Lord, and His is an everlasting kingdom which cannot be destroyed. Therefore we may pray in Jesus name with confidence, believing that in Him all the promises of God are yea and amen, and that our poor, feeble, broken prayer, when offered in faith, is delighted in by our Father and shall prevail.

Continue in this pattern with serious consideration of the weight of each petition, with ardent expectation, and with thanksgiving. The Lord who taught you thus to pray will also teach you to live in the power of the prayer, that you may not die but live and declare the works of the Lord.

"It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it." Isaiah 55:11
7 โ€œAsk and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 โ€œWhich of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! (Matthew 7:7-11)
Thank You and Praise You Lord You do not withhold good gifts!
Praying in agreement with you in Jesus Name Amen. God bless you!
