๐Ÿ“– "Pray, then, after this manner [1]... ๐Ÿ™Œ โ€˜Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom Come! Your Will be done, On Earth as it is in Heaven!โ€

๐Ÿ™"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For itโ€™s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,โ€ Matt 6:9-13, Thank You in Jesus' Name.

[1] Jesus' Prayer He taught was an outline, summary of topics, a form or "pattern prayer." The following has been condensed from six reliable sources, is of much godly & personal value when sincerely prayed (not mindlessly repeated), but through serious consideration, understanding the weight of the petitions, ardently prayed, expecting answers, James 1:5-7, James 5:16-17... C.f., Matt 6:33, "But seek FIRST The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, THEN these other things shall be added to you." -- His Honor Kingdom Will; Then Our Provision Forgiveness for Us, Others (Relationship w/ The Holy Father and our holy brothers and sisters 1 Jn 1:7-9, Kept from Sin Evil, Standard & Personal Prayer Guide, Matt 6:9-13 and some Pertinent Scriptures under the Headings of Each Petition...

***๐Ÿ™Œ Our Father in Heaven, we first pause (reflect on Him with whom we are addressing as Father, The Holy One of Israel, and mostly as Gentiles at that, who loved us while we were yet sinners, strangers of the covenants and Scriptures, yes - even hostile in our minds -- and thank You. For all, but specifically for "loving the world (including us, me ๐Ÿฅฐ) so much You gave Your Only-begotten Son, that by believing in him we may be spared perdition and rather freely gain eternal life, Jn 3:16. Thank You "Jesus showed us The Father -- Your Nature," Jn 14:9. Thank You for His shed blood and died on the cross for our sins, 1 Cor 15:3-4, burial, resurrection declaring both Him and us "not guilty" Rom 4:25, and ascension (adoption, enthronement, Ps 110:1), as Son-of-Man-in-Power to pour out the Holy Spirit of Adoption from on high, by which we call out, Abba, Father, Gal 4:6, proving we are heirs, Gal 4:7, since as many as received Jesus and believed on His Name are called Children of God, John 1:12-13, praying even with the same language of intimacy, Abba, i.e., "Daddy" or "Papa, etc" as Jesus used in time of impending crisis for deliverance in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Abba, Father," Mark 14:36.

๐Ÿ™ Hallowed Be Your Name... May Your GRACIOUS and COMPASSIONATE NAME, Ex 34:6-7, get honor through our thoughts, words, deeds, speech, actions and reactions. May we honor and know You in every Name You have revealed about Yourself in The Scriptures -- Elohim, The Trinity, Beginning in Gen 1:1; The Name, Gen 4:26, El Elyon, God Most High, Gen 14:18, Adonai, Lord, Master, Gen 15:2; El Roi, The God Who Sees, Gen 16:13; El Shaddai, God Almighty, Gen 17:1; El Olam, The Everlasting God, Gen 21:33; Yahweh, The LORD, Jireh or Yireh, Our Provider, Gen 22:18; Healer, Peace, Shepherd, Righteousness, Presence, Sanctification, Our Rock, Fortress, Strong Tower, Etc... We honor and hallow ALL Your Titles, Attributes, Your Name! May Your Name not be used to curse or in vain, Ex 20:7, and may our lives and conduct cause it to be reverenced, not derided, Rom 2:24. May the world be enlightened or compelled to reverence Your ineffable Name and Your Christ's and May Your Glory cover the Earth as the waters cover the seas, Numbers 14:21, Ps 72:19, Isa 11:9, Hab 2:14, Phil 2:10-11...

๐Ÿ™ May Your Kingdom Come to us & through us with FRUIT, GIFTS, WISDOM, POWER & HOLINESS... FRUIT, of The Holy Spirit, see Rom 14:17 on what the Kingdom is -- His Righteousness, peace and joy, therefore ALL the fruit is an extension of His Kingdom, from love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Gal 5:22-23, truth, humility & justice, Ps 45:4, contentment, Lk 3:14, 1 Tim 6:6, Heb 13:5, Phil 4:11-13, doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God, Micah 6:8. You desire mercy, not sacrifice, Hos 6:6. We ask for the GIFTS of The Spirit to be evident in us, our churches, families, and to Your people throughout the world, from ministry GIFTS to equip The Body of Christ through Your Gospel Officers until we reach unity in faith and knowledge of The Son of God and the mature stature of Christ Himself, Eph 4:12-13, (which has not yet happened so such workers must of necessity still be present and are much needed, even required, apostles, (missionaries/church planters), prophets, (encouragers/exhorters/visionaries), evangelists, pastors and teachers), Eph 4:11-13, to The GIFTS of miracles (signs, wonders), healings, faith, prophecy, words of wisdom, knowledge, tongues, interpretation of such tongues, administration, leadership, giving, mercy, discerning of spirits, Rom 12:5-8, 1 Cor 12:4-11. POWER: Drive out demons by the finger of God, demonstrating The Kingdom of God, Lk 11:20, for The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power, 1 Cor 4:20. Mostly the POWER to live a Holy Life overflowing with LOVE for God and others, singing and making melody from "singing seminaries" and "the walking practice of evangelism" is the best fruit and sign of the Kingdom, Heb 12:4. ***We also want to ask for Jesus' Return, so we may experience a whole other realm, where we are redeemed, have peace with God, are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, are part of "New Creation" though only a "foretaste of the good things to come." The change our bodies will incur and all creation eagerly awaits is our hope in Romans 8 and latter Revelation and is where ALL of these things will be realized in a greater capacity and duration and God's Kingdom will have full expression once it's fully come on earth as it is heaven again -- the "not yet," -- "May Your Kingdom Come and Your Will be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven," Matt 6:10. May Jesus return and the Kingdom flourish, being fully manifest. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Rev 22:17, Rev 22:20.

๐Ÿ™ May Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- Keeping in mind the Kingdom Coming, as described above, in differing degrees, the already and the not yet, we ask here in the already that we may know, submit to and do Your will for our lives individually (hearing His voice, Jn 10:27, being led by the Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, as Jesus did during His time on earth, Phil 2:9-9, our whole lives be increasingly lived to please You, knowing the Trinity, living in Your presence moment by moment, and making You known as a by product, rejoicing in trials and weakness, as well as power demonstrations when it gives You glory, Mt 28:19-20, Rom 1:5, Rom 15:18. May we abide in Christ, with freedom to pray, and power to bear fruit, thereby making disciples, and thus proving we are disciples, John 15:7-8, might bear some fruit wherever we go, Rom 1:13, 1 Cor 9:2, 2 Cor 3:2-3, specifically by going, preaching faith in Jesus suffering and dying for our sins, repentance, baptism, forgiveness of sins and obedience to all that He commanded, and obedience to any personal directives, admonitions and restraints, being witnesses to these facts under His authority, commission by this union with Jesus through The Holy Spirit, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-48, Matt 28:19-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. May Your will be done on earth as You rule over the church and nations, Ps 22:28, and collectively as the church until You come to reward the righteous and recompense the wicked, 2 Cor 10:3-6, and arrive in fulness at the Return of Christ, Matt 24:30, Matt 25:31-32.

๐Ÿ™ Give us Each Day our Daily Bread: Spiritual -- we can't live by bread alone but every Word of God, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4. Meet our spiritual, emotional, social, physical and financial needs mightily, Phil 4:19, so we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30, and our neighbors, Mk 12:31, even the lost, Matt 9:36, and even enemies, Matt 5:44, as ourselves -- and see others as Christ, who looked beyond his own interests, to the interests of others, considering others as more important than we, Phil 2:1-5.

๐Ÿ™ Forgive Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors... We confess we've sinned against You, Rom 3:23, 1 Jn 1:8, 1 Jn 1:10 (name specific sins and areas of ongoing struggles), and others, receive forgiveness, Lk 1:77, & pray FOR those who sin against us, (by name and specific offenses), asking they'd repent and be saved, Job 42:7-16, entrusting their souls to a faithful creator and recognizing it is He who alone who is in fact the one appointed both to save and to judge, Romans 12:9, 1 Pet 4:19.

๐Ÿ™ Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation and evil, Luke 11:4, sin, 1 Cor 8:1, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, 2 Cor 11:16, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

๐Ÿ™Œ For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... (Not unto us O Lord, but unto Your Name Be Glory, Ps 115:1)... We Thank You for hearing, Mk 11:24, Amen, in Jesus' Name, in Him All The Promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We rejoice with you in this beautiful meditation on the pattern prayer our Lord Jesus taught us and we thank you for sharing this outline that so clearly shows the divine order within it.

We see as you have laid out that the prayer in Matt 6:9-13 begins with the Father and His glory and then moves to our need and this is the very heart of Matt 6:33 which says But seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. We agree that this is not a chant to be mindlessly repeated for Jesus Himself warned in Matt 6:7 In praying dont use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. It is rather a pattern to shape our hearts to pray according to His will and we praise God that you have emphasized praying it with understanding and expectation as James 1:6 says let him ask in faith without any doubting and as James 5:16 reminds us The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.

We love how you have divided the prayer. First Our Father who is in heaven Hallowed be Your name Your Kingdom come Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This teaches us to begin with worship and surrender. To call Him Father is a privilege purchased by the blood of Jesus for John 1:12 says But as many as received him to them he gave the right to become Gods children to those who believe in his name and Gal 4:6 says And because you are children God sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts crying Abba Father. To hallow His name is to honor every revelation of His character as gracious and compassionate as in Exod 34:6 and to live so that His name is not blasphemed among the nations as Rom 2:24 warns but glorified. To pray Your Kingdom come is to long for His reign in our hearts now through the fruit and gifts of the Spirit and for His reign over all the earth when Christ returns as Rev 22:20 says He who testifies these things says Yes I come quickly Amen Come Lord Jesus. And to pray Your will be done is to yield our lives to be led by the Spirit as Rom 8:14 says For as many as are led by the Spirit of God these are children of God and to be witnesses to all nations as Matt 28:19 and Acts 1:8 command.

Then the second movement Give us today our daily bread Forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one. Here we bring our daily dependence before Him. He is Yahweh Jireh our Provider and Phil 4:19 promises My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus and Matt 4:4 reminds us Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. The petition for forgiveness is so central for 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness and our Lord makes our forgiveness of others inseparable from receiving His forgiveness as Matt 6:14-15 teaches. We appreciate that you highlighted reconciliation as new creations for 2 Cor 5:17-18 says Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation The old things have passed away behold all things have become new But all things are of God who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation. This is the forgiveness that restores relationship with God and with one another. And the final petition to be kept from sin and the evil one is our daily cry for holiness and protection for John 17:15 records Jesus praying I pray not that you would take them from the world but that you would keep them from the evil one and Ps 91:11 promises For he will put his angels in charge of you to guard you in all your ways.

We join our faith with yours now and pray together

Father in heaven we hallow Your holy name and we thank You for adopting us as Your children through the shed blood and resurrection of Your Son Jesus Christ. We thank You that while we were yet sinners You loved us and made a way for us to cry Abba Father. May Your name be honored in our thoughts words and deeds and may Your glory cover the earth as the waters cover the sea as Hab 2:14 declares. May Your Kingdom come in power and holiness in our lives our families and our churches bearing the fruit of love joy peace patience kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness and self control as Gal 5:22-23 describes and may Your will be done in us as it is done in heaven that we may abide in Christ bear much fruit and make disciples of all nations. Give us this day all that we need spiritually and physically that we may love You with all our heart soul mind and strength and love our neighbors as ourselves. Forgive us our debts as we forgive those who have sinned against us cleanse us and help us to walk in reconciliation as new creations. Lead us away from temptation and deliver us from the evil one from deception and from every evil work and guard us by Your angels and by Your Spirit. For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. We ask and thank You for hearing us for Mark 11:24 says Therefore I tell you all things whatever you pray and ask for believe that you have received them and you shall have them. We pray all these things in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved as Acts 4:12 declares and it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace Amen.

We appreciated the care you took in walking through the prayer Jesus taught, wanting to pray it with understanding and not just repetition. The way you traced it from honoring the Father and His kingdom and will, to bringing our daily needs, our relationships and forgiveness, and our need to be kept from evil, reflects a sincere desire to seek Him first and trust Him with what follows.

That desire to pray with weight and expectancy is a good gift, and it often grows best slowly. One thing that has helped many of us is to take just one phrase at a time in a quiet moment and stay there for a while, letting it shape how we talk with God that day instead of trying to carry the whole pattern at once. Over time that unhurried attention can help prayer become less a duty to perform and more a steady way of staying near to Him, with the heart's motivation mattering more than perfect words.

We are thankful for your hunger to know Him more deeply and to live in light of His kingdom.

Father, thank You for making a way through Jesus for us to come to You as Father. We ask You to be honored in our lives, to let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in us, to provide what we need for today, to forgive us and teach us to forgive, and to keep us from sin and from the evil one. Draw our brother into closer fellowship with You and give him peace and wisdom as he seeks You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your careful meditation upon the pattern prayer our Lord taught is itself an answer to His instruction to pray after this manner, not as a mindless repetition but as a weighty outline for the heart. You have rightly divided it, first the Father and His honor, His Kingdom and His will, and then our need, our provision, our relationships and our keeping from sin and the evil one. This is to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, believing that all other things shall be added.

How sweet is that first word, Our Father who is in heaven. You have remembered well that we who were once strangers and enemies, hostile in our minds, are now brought near by the shed blood and resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of adoption we cry Abba, Father. It is the same tender word our Lord used in Gethsemane. Think of this whenever you pray, that you speak not to a distant deity but to Him who gave His Only Begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish.

When you pray Hallowed be Your name, you pray as our Lord prayed for His people, Sanctify them through Thy truth, Thy word is truth. Holiness is the desire of Christ for His people, and holiness is our fitness for His service. May His gracious and compassionate name, as revealed in Exodus, and all His titles revealed in Scripture, be reverenced in our thoughts, words and deeds, and not be taken in vain nor cause the world to blaspheme, but rather that His glory may cover the earth as the waters cover the seas.

Your petition for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done is a prayer for fruit and power and holiness now, and for the full manifestation when Christ returns. The Kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, and it comes not in word only but in power, to drive back darkness and to make us abound in love. So we pray, and we labor, for deliverance is of the Lord but it must be accomplished by human instrumentality, and we must continue shooting the arrows of prayer and not be content with a low standard.

Give us this day our daily bread embraces every need, for man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. He who has taught us to pray for daily bread will load us daily with benefits, and He hears the breathing desire, not the mere form of words. Neglect of private prayer will make all spiritual powers wax weak, but he that is mighty on his knees is mighty everywhere.

And what comfort to pray, Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. There is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared. This is no uncertain hope. There is forgiveness, and it is a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. It is a complete forgiveness and an eternal forgiveness through Jesus Christ His Son, who bore our sins. If you have been the chief of sinners, you may have the chief of sinners forgiveness, and God can bestow it now. Yet that same prayer reads our own death warrant if we refuse to forgive, for unless you have forgiven others you ask in vain. As you have been forgiven much, so you must forgive, and pray for those who have sinned against you that they also may repent and be saved.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil is the cry of one who knows his weakness and the subtlety of the evil one. At times prayer seems to have no return, and Satan whispers that God hath forsaken you, but deliverance is of the Lord. He keeps His people from evil, from falsehood and from evil men, and gives His angels charge over them. He heard Jacob at Jabbok, and He will hear you, for there is a prayer treasury into which we all put prayers, and from which we all take in our hour of need.

For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. To Him who is able to make worlds with a word, it is no hard thing to save a soul and to keep it. Continue in this pattern with serious consideration and ardent expectation, asking in faith nothing wavering, for the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. May the Lord sanctify you through His truth, establish you in His forgiveness, and keep you by His power until His Kingdom comes in its fulness.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
