๐Ÿ™"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For itโ€™s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,โ€ Matt 6:9-13, Thank You in Jesus' Name.

[1] Jesus' Prayer He taught was an outline, summary of topics, a form or "pattern prayer." The following has been condensed from six reliable sources, is of much godly & personal value when sincerely prayed (not mindlessly repeated), but through serious consideration, understanding the weight of the petitions, ardently prayed, expecting answers, James 1:5-7, James 5:16-17... C.f., Matt 6:33, "But seek FIRST The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, THEN these other things shall be added to you." -- His Honor Kingdom Will; Then Our Provision Forgiveness for Us, Others (Relationship w/ The Holy Father and our holy brothers and sisters 1 Jn 1:7-9, Kept from Sin Evil, Standard & Personal Prayer Guide, Matt 6:9-13 and some Pertinent Scriptures under the Headings of Each Petition...

***๐Ÿ™Œ Our Father in Heaven, we first pause (reflect on Him with whom we are addressing as Father, The Holy One of Israel, and mostly as Gentiles at that, who loved us while we were yet sinners, strangers of the covenants and Scriptures, yes - even hostile in our minds -- and thank You. For all, but specifically for "loving the world (including us, me ๐Ÿฅฐ) so much You gave Your Only-begotten Son, that by believing in him we may be spared perdition and rather freely gain eternal life, Jn 3:16. Thank You "Jesus showed us The Father -- Your Nature," Jn 14:9. Thank You for His shed blood and died on the cross for our sins, 1 Cor 15:3-4, burial, resurrection declaring both Him and us "not guilty" Rom 4:25, and ascension (adoption, enthronement, Ps 110:1), as Son-of-Man-in-Power to pour out the Holy Spirit of Adoption from on high, by which we call out, Abba, Father, Gal 4:6, proving we are heirs, Gal 4:7, since as many as received Jesus and believed on His Name are called Children of God, John 1:12-13, praying even with the same language of intimacy, Abba, i.e., "Daddy" or "Papa, etc" as Jesus used in time of impending crisis for deliverance in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Abba, Father," Mark 14:36.

๐Ÿ™ Hallowed Be Your Name... May Your GRACIOUS and COMPASSIONATE NAME, Ex 34:6-7, get honor through our thoughts, words, deeds, speech, actions and reactions. May we honor and know You in every Name You have revealed about Yourself in The Scriptures -- Elohim, The Trinity, Beginning in Gen 1:1; The Name, Gen 4:26, El Elyon, God Most High, Gen 14:18, Adonai, Lord, Master, Gen 15:2; El Roi, The God Who Sees, Gen 16:13; El Shaddai, God Almighty, Gen 17:1; El Olam, The Everlasting God, Gen 21:33; Yahweh, The LORD, Jireh or Yireh, Our Provider, Gen 22:18; Healer, Peace, Shepherd, Righteousness, Presence, Sanctification, Our Rock, Fortress, Strong Tower, Etc... We honor and hallow ALL Your Titles, Attributes, Your Name! May Your Name not be used to curse or in vain, Ex 20:7, and may our lives and conduct cause it to be reverenced, not derided, Rom 2:24. May the world be enlightened or compelled to reverence Your ineffable Name and Your Christ's and May Your Glory cover the Earth as the waters cover the seas, Numbers 14:21, Ps 72:19, Isa 11:9, Hab 2:14, Phil 2:10-11...

๐Ÿ™ May Your Kingdom Come to us & through us with FRUIT, GIFTS, WISDOM, POWER & HOLINESS... FRUIT, of The Holy Spirit, see Rom 14:17 on what the Kingdom is -- His Righteousness, peace and joy, therefore ALL the fruit is an extension of His Kingdom, from love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Gal 5:22-23, truth, humility & justice, Ps 45:4, contentment, Lk 3:14, 1 Tim 6:6, Heb 13:5, Phil 4:11-13, doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God, Micah 6:8. You desire mercy, not sacrifice, Hos 6:6. We ask for the GIFTS of The Spirit to be evident in us, our churches, families, and to Your people throughout the world, from ministry GIFTS to equip The Body of Christ through Your Gospel Officers until we reach unity in faith and knowledge of The Son of God and the mature stature of Christ Himself, Eph 4:12-13, (which has not yet happened so such workers must of necessity still be present and are much needed, even required, apostles, (missionaries/church planters), prophets, (encouragers/exhorters/visionaries), evangelists, pastors and teachers), Eph 4:11-13, to The GIFTS of miracles (signs, wonders), healings, faith, prophecy, words of wisdom, knowledge, tongues, interpretation of such tongues, administration, leadership, giving, mercy, discerning of spirits, Rom 12:5-8, 1 Cor 12:4-11. POWER: Drive out demons by the finger of God, demonstrating The Kingdom of God, Lk 11:20, for The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power, 1 Cor 4:20. Mostly the POWER to live a Holy Life overflowing with LOVE for God and others, singing and making melody from "singing seminaries" and "the walking practice of evangelism" is the best fruit and sign of the Kingdom, Heb 12:4. ***We also want to ask for Jesus' Return, so we may experience a whole other realm, where we are redeemed, have peace with God, are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, are part of "New Creation" though only a "foretaste of the good things to come." The change our bodies will incur and all creation eagerly awaits is our hope in Romans 8 and latter Revelation and is where ALL of these things will be realized in a greater capacity and duration and God's Kingdom will have full expression once it's fully come on earth as it is heaven again -- the "not yet," -- "May Your Kingdom Come and Your Will be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven," Matt 6:10. May Jesus return and the Kingdom flourish, being fully manifest. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Rev 22:17, Rev 22:20.

๐Ÿ™ May Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- Keeping in mind the Kingdom Coming, as described above, in differing degrees, the already and the not yet, we ask here in the already that we may know, submit to and do Your will for our lives individually (hearing His voice, Jn 10:27, being led by the Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, as Jesus did during His time on earth, Phil 2:9-9, our whole lives be increasingly lived to please You, knowing the Trinity, living in Your presence moment by moment, and making You known as a by product, rejoicing in trials and weakness, as well as power demonstrations when it gives You glory, Mt 28:19-20, Rom 1:5, Rom 15:18. May we abide in Christ, with freedom to pray, and power to bear fruit, thereby making disciples, and thus proving we are disciples, John 15:7-8, might bear some fruit wherever we go, Rom 1:13, 1 Cor 9:2, 2 Cor 3:2-3, specifically by going, preaching faith in Jesus suffering and dying for our sins, repentance, baptism, forgiveness of sins and obedience to all that He commanded, and obedience to any personal directives, admonitions and restraints, being witnesses to these facts under His authority, commission by this union with Jesus through The Holy Spirit, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-48, Matt 28:19-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. May Your will be done on earth as You rule over the church and nations, Ps 22:28, and collectively as the church until You come to reward the righteous and recompense the wicked, 2 Cor 10:3-6, and arrive in fulness at the Return of Christ, Matt 24:30, Matt 25:31-32.

๐Ÿ™ Give us Each Day our Daily Bread: Spiritual -- we can't live by bread alone but every Word of God, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4. Meet our spiritual, emotional, social, physical and financial needs mightily, Phil 4:19, so we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30, and our neighbors, Mk 12:31, even the lost, Matt 9:36, and even enemies, Matt 5:44, as ourselves -- and see others as Christ, who looked beyond his own interests, to the interests of others, considering others as more important than we, Phil 2:1-5.

๐Ÿ™ Forgive Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors... We confess we've sinned against You, Rom 3:23, 1 Jn 1:8, 1 Jn 1:10 (name specific sins and areas of ongoing struggles), and others, receive forgiveness, Lk 1:77, & pray FOR those who sin against us, (by name and specific offenses), asking they'd repent and be saved, Job 42:7-16, entrusting their souls to a faithful creator and recognizing it is He who alone who is in fact the one appointed both to save and to judge, Romans 12:9, 1 Pet 4:19.

๐Ÿ™ Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation and evil, Luke 11:4, sin, 1 Cor 8:1, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, 2 Cor 11:16, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

๐Ÿ™Œ For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... (Not unto us O Lord, but unto Your Name Be Glory, Ps 115:1)... We Thank You for hearing, Mk 11:24, Amen, in Jesus' Name, in Him All The Promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We are deeply blessed by your meditation on the prayer our Lord Jesus taught and we join with you in honoring it as a pattern to shape our praying rather than words to be mindlessly repeated. Jesus Himself warned us not to use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do in Matt 6:7, but to pray with understanding and faith, asking according to His will and expecting answers as taught in James 1:5-7 and James 5:16-17.

We love how you have divided it as Scripture itself divides it, first concerning the Father and His honor, His Kingdom and His will, and then concerning our needs, our relationships and our deliverance, which reflects the great priority Jesus gave when He said in Matt 6:33 to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and then all these other things shall be added to you.

We join you in praying after this manner.

We pause together before our Father who is in heaven. What mercy that we who were once strangers to the covenants and hostile in our minds can now call the Holy One of Israel Father, Abba, Papa, as Jesus did in Mark 14:36. This is only because He so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life as promised in John 3:16, and because Jesus showed us the Father in John 14:9 and shed His blood and died for our sins, was buried and rose again according to 1 Cor 15:3-4, and was raised for our justification in Rom 4:25 and ascended to the right hand of the Father in Ps 110:1 to pour out the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry Abba Father in Gal 4:6. We thank Him that to as many as received Him He gave the right to become children of God in John 1:12 and to be heirs in Gal 4:7.

We hallow Your name together. May Your gracious and compassionate name revealed in Ex 34:6-7 be honored in our thoughts, words and deeds. May we reverence every name You have revealed, Elohim in Gen 1:1, El Elyon in Gen 14:18, El Roi in Gen 16:13, El Shaddai in Gen 17:1, El Olam in Gen 21:33, Yahweh Jireh our Provider, our Healer, our Peace, our Shepherd, our Righteousness, and may we never take Your name in vain as forbidden in Ex 20:7 nor cause it to be blasphemed among the nations as warned in Rom 2:24. We long for the day when Your glory will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea in Num 14:21 and Hab 2:14 and every knee will bow at the name of Jesus in Phil 2:10-11.

We pray for Your Kingdom to come to us and through us. We ask for the reality described in Rom 14:17, righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, and for the fruit of the Spirit in Gal 5:22-23, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, with truth and humility and justice in Ps 45:4, contentment in 1 Tim 6:6 and Heb 13:5 and Phil 4:11-13, doing justly and loving mercy and walking humbly with You in Micah 6:8, for You desire mercy and not sacrifice in Hos 6:6. We ask for the gifts of the Spirit to equip the Body until we all attain to the unity of the faith and the mature stature of Christ in Eph 4:11-13 and Rom 12:5-8 and 1 Cor 12:4-11, and for power, for the Kingdom of God is not in word but in power in 1 Cor 4:20, power to cast out darkness by the finger of God in Luke 11:20 and most of all power to live a holy life overflowing with love. Even so we cry come quickly Lord Jesus in Rev 22:20, for we await the full manifestation when Your Kingdom comes in fullness on earth as it is in heaven in Matt 6:10.

We pray Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Teach us to hear Your voice as Your sheep in John 10:27 and to be led by the Spirit in Rom 8:14, to abide in Christ and bear much fruit in John 15:7-8, to make disciples of all nations, preaching repentance and forgiveness of sins and baptizing and teaching obedience to all You commanded in Matt 28:19-20 and Mark 16:15-16 and Luke 24:46-48 and Acts 1:8. Rule over Your church and over the nations in Ps 22:28 until You return to reward the righteous and recompense the wicked.

And for our daily needs we look to You. We cannot live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of Your mouth in Deut 8:3 and Matt 4:4 and Luke 4:4. Supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Phil 4:19, spiritual, emotional, physical and financial, that we may love You with all our heart, soul, mind and strength in Mark 12:30 and love our neighbor as ourselves in Mark 12:31, even loving our enemies in Matt 5:44 and looking beyond our own interests to the interests of others in Phil 2:1-5.

Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. We confess we have all sinned in Rom 3:23 and if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves in 1 John 1:8 and 1 John 1:10. We receive Your forgiveness and cleansing when we confess in 1 John 1:9, and we choose to forgive those who have sinned against us, praying for them by name that they may repent and be saved, entrusting them to You who judges righteously in Rom 12:19 and 1 Pet 4:19, as Job prayed for his friends in Job 42:7-16.

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil and from the evil one in Matt 6:13 and John 17:15. Keep us from sin and deception, from lies and fear in Zeph 3:13, from evil people and impostors in 2 Tim 3:13, from false believers in 2 Tim 3:5 and Titus 1:16. Give us angelic protection as promised in Ps 91:10-11, for Your angels are ministering spirits sent to serve us in Heb 1:14.

For Yours is the Kingdom which cannot be destroyed in Dan 7:18, and Yours is all power in heaven and on earth given to Christ in Matt 28:18, and Yours is the glory forever, not unto us but to Your name be glory in Ps 115:1.

We thank You that You hear us when we pray according to Your will in Mark 11:24 and that all Your promises are yes and amen in Christ in 2 Cor 1:20. We thank You that we have access to the Father only through Jesus, for He said in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him, and there is salvation in no other name as declared in Acts 4:12. It is in that precious name of Jesus we pray and trust. Amen.

We were moved by the care you have taken with the prayer Jesus gave His followers. You have clearly spent time weighing each part, putting the Father's honor and kingdom first and then bringing our daily needs, our relationships and our need for protection before Him, and that desire to pray with understanding matters to God.

What stood out to us is your note about not praying it mindlessly but with consideration and expectation. That is the heart of a spiritual discipline. It is less about trying harder in a moment and more about training over time, like learning any good habit. Small, steady practice, even a few unhurried minutes, shapes us gradually and keeps us from feeling we have failed if a day feels dry or distracted.

If it would help, you might try taking the pattern slowly across the week rather than all at once. One morning linger on what it means to call Him Father, another on daily bread, another on forgiveness given and received, speaking each in your own words after you say the familiar line. It keeps the form from becoming routine and lets each petition settle.

Father, we thank You for drawing this heart to know You more deeply in prayer. Give clarity and joy as Your name is honored, and meet each daily need according to Your wisdom. Teach us to walk closely with You and to rest in the grace You have shown us in Jesus. Amen.

Your careful meditation upon the pattern prayer our Lord gave is itself an answer to prayer, for it shows a heart that desires to pray aright and not with vain repetitions. Our Lord did not give us a charm to be mindlessly repeated, but a form and outline, a treasury of topics after which manner we are to pray, with understanding, with weight, with ardent expectation that the Father heareth us.

It is well that you have begun where our Lord begins, with the Father. Our Father who is in heaven. What mercy is here, that sinners who were strangers and enemies should be adopted through the shed blood and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and by the Spirit of adoption cry, Abba, Father, even as Christ cried in Gethsemane. Let your heart pause there and give thanks, for there is forgiveness with Him that He may be feared, and that forgiveness is not stinted or partial. It is a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions, complete and eternal, obtained through Jesus Christ His Son, and it is yours now if you have received Him and believed on His name.

Hallowed be Your name. This is the first petition, that His gracious and compassionate name, as revealed in all His titles and attributes, might be reverenced in our thoughts, words and deeds, and not dishonored before the world. Pray that His glory may cover the earth as the waters cover the sea, and that in your own life His name may be hallowed.

Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Here you pray rightly for the reign of Christ in the heart, in the church and in the nations. The Kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, and it comes with fruit, with gifts, with power and with holiness. It is not a matter of talk but of power, to make us holy and to make us useful, for holiness is essential to fitness for the extension of His Kingdom. Pray therefore, Holy Father, sanctify them through Thy truth, Thy word is truth, and pray for His power to live a holy life overflowing with love, and for His will to be known and obeyed, as you abide in Christ and are led by the Spirit, bearing fruit and making disciples under His authority.

Then our Lord teaches us to bring our own need, Give us this day our daily bread. We live not by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Bring your spiritual, physical and daily necessities to Him who has promised to supply, that you may love Him with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself.

Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Here is the blessed whisper that drives away despair, there is forgiveness, and it is with God. He not only forgave at the first, but He continueth daily to forgive, and that forgiveness is perfect and eternal. Yet the very prayer that teaches you to ask for mercy bids you say, as we forgive. Unless you have forgiven others you read your own death warrant when you repeat the Lord's prayer. Therefore confess your sins specifically, receive His pardon, and from a forgiven heart pray for those who have sinned against you, that they also may repent and be saved, leaving judgment to Him who alone is appointed to save and to judge.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliverance is of the Lord, but He will have us ask for it. The evil one ceaseth not his incantations, and when prayer hath seemed to have no return, his arrow is most keen. Go much in supplication, for he that is mighty on his knees is mighty everywhere. Pray for keeping from sin and lies and fear and deception, and for angelic protection, and that the Lord would keep you from the hour of temptation and deliver you from the evil one.

For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. This is no small doxology. His is an everlasting Kingdom which cannot be destroyed, and all power in heaven and earth is given unto Christ, and all glory belongs unto His name. What is the use of preaching or praying if it does not glorify God.

So continue, not in haste, but with solemn consideration, seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, believing that He heareth and will answer. May the Lord sanctify you wholly, keep you abiding in Christ, and make your prayers a treasury from which many shall be enriched, till He comes whose Kingdom shall have full expression. We join you in this prayer and ask it in the name of Jesus, in whom all the promises of God are yea and amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
