๐Ÿ™"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For itโ€™s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,โ€ Matt 6:9-13, Thank You in Jesus' Name.

[1] Jesus' Prayer He taught was an outline, summary of topics, a form or "pattern prayer." The following has been condensed from six reliable sources, is of much godly & personal value when sincerely prayed (not mindlessly repeated), but through serious consideration, understanding the weight of the petitions, ardently prayed, expecting answers, James 1:5-7, James 5:16-17... C.f., Matt 6:33, "But seek FIRST The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, THEN these other things shall be added to you." -- His Honor Kingdom Will; Then Our Provision Forgiveness for Us, Others (Relationship w/ The Holy Father and our holy brothers and sisters 1 Jn 1:7-9, Kept from Sin Evil, Standard & Personal Prayer Guide, Matt 6:9-13 and some Pertinent Scriptures under the Headings of Each Petition...

***๐Ÿ™Œ Our Father in Heaven, we first pause (reflect on Him with whom we are addressing as Father, The Holy One of Israel, and mostly as Gentiles at that, who loved us while we were yet sinners, strangers of the covenants and Scriptures, yes - even hostile in our minds -- and thank You. For all, but specifically for "loving the world (including us, me ๐Ÿฅฐ) so much You gave Your Only-begotten Son, that by believing in him we may be spared perdition and rather freely gain eternal life, Jn 3:16. Thank You "Jesus showed us The Father -- Your Nature," Jn 14:9. Thank You for His shed blood and died on the cross for our sins, 1 Cor 15:3-4, burial, resurrection declaring both Him and us "not guilty" Rom 4:25, and ascension (adoption, enthronement, Ps 110:1), as Son-of-Man-in-Power to pour out the Holy Spirit of Adoption from on high, by which we call out, Abba, Father, Gal 4:6, proving we are heirs, Gal 4:7, since as many as received Jesus and believed on His Name are called Children of God, John 1:12-13, praying even with the same language of intimacy, Abba, i.e., "Daddy" or "Papa, etc" as Jesus used in time of impending crisis for deliverance in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Abba, Father," Mark 14:36.

๐Ÿ™ Hallowed Be Your Name... May Your GRACIOUS and COMPASSIONATE NAME, Ex 34:6-7, get honor through our thoughts, words, deeds, speech, actions and reactions. May we honor and know You in every Name You have revealed about Yourself in The Scriptures -- Elohim, The Trinity, Beginning in Gen 1:1; The Name, Gen 4:26, El Elyon, God Most High, Gen 14:18, Adonai, Lord, Master, Gen 15:2; El Roi, The God Who Sees, Gen 16:13; El Shaddai, God Almighty, Gen 17:1; El Olam, The Everlasting God, Gen 21:33; Yahweh, The LORD, Jireh or Yireh, Our Provider, Gen 22:18; Healer, Peace, Shepherd, Righteousness, Presence, Sanctification, Our Rock, Fortress, Strong Tower, Etc... We honor and hallow ALL Your Titles, Attributes, Your Name! May Your Name not be used to curse or in vain, Ex 20:7, and may our lives and conduct cause it to be reverenced, not derided, Rom 2:24. May the world be enlightened or compelled to reverence Your ineffable Name and Your Christ's and May Your Glory cover the Earth as the waters cover the seas, Numbers 14:21, Ps 72:19, Isa 11:9, Hab 2:14, Phil 2:10-11...

๐Ÿ™ May Your Kingdom Come to us & through us with FRUIT, GIFTS, WISDOM, POWER & HOLINESS... FRUIT, of The Holy Spirit, see Rom 14:17 on what the Kingdom is -- His Righteousness, peace and joy, therefore ALL the fruit is an extension of His Kingdom, from love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Gal 5:22-23, truth, humility & justice, Ps 45:4, contentment, Lk 3:14, 1 Tim 6:6, Heb 13:5, Phil 4:11-13, doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God, Micah 6:8. You desire mercy, not sacrifice, Hos 6:6. We ask for the GIFTS of The Spirit to be evident in us, our churches, families, and to Your people throughout the world, from ministry GIFTS to equip The Body of Christ through Your Gospel Officers until we reach unity in faith and knowledge of The Son of God and the mature stature of Christ Himself, Eph 4:12-13, (which has not yet happened so such workers must of necessity still be present and are much needed, even required, apostles, (missionaries/church planters), prophets, (encouragers/exhorters/visionaries), evangelists, pastors and teachers), Eph 4:11-13, to The GIFTS of miracles (signs, wonders), healings, faith, prophecy, words of wisdom, knowledge, tongues, interpretation of such tongues, administration, leadership, giving, mercy, discerning of spirits, Rom 12:5-8, 1 Cor 12:4-11. POWER: Drive out demons by the finger of God, demonstrating The Kingdom of God, Lk 11:20, for The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power, 1 Cor 4:20. Mostly the POWER to live a Holy Life overflowing with LOVE for God and others, singing and making melody from "singing seminaries" and "the walking practice of evangelism" is the best fruit and sign of the Kingdom, Heb 12:4. ***We also want to ask for Jesus' Return, so we may experience a whole other realm, where we are redeemed, have peace with God, are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, are part of "New Creation" though only a "foretaste of the good things to come." The change our bodies will incur and all creation eagerly awaits is our hope in Romans 8 and latter Revelation and is where ALL of these things will be realized in a greater capacity and duration and God's Kingdom will have full expression once it's fully come on earth as it is heaven again -- the "not yet," -- "May Your Kingdom Come and Your Will be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven," Matt 6:10. May Jesus return and the Kingdom flourish, being fully manifest. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Rev 22:17, Rev 22:20.

๐Ÿ™ May Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- Keeping in mind the Kingdom Coming, as described above, in differing degrees, the already and the not yet, we ask here in the already that we may know, submit to and do Your will for our lives individually (hearing His voice, Jn 10:27, being led by the Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, as Jesus did during His time on earth, Phil 2:9-9, our whole lives be increasingly lived to please You, knowing the Trinity, living in Your presence moment by moment, and making You known as a by product, rejoicing in trials and weakness, as well as power demonstrations when it gives You glory, Mt 28:19-20, Rom 1:5, Rom 15:18. May we abide in Christ, with freedom to pray, and power to bear fruit, thereby making disciples, and thus proving we are disciples, John 15:7-8, might bear some fruit wherever we go, Rom 1:13, 1 Cor 9:2, 2 Cor 3:2-3, specifically by going, preaching faith in Jesus suffering and dying for our sins, repentance, baptism, forgiveness of sins and obedience to all that He commanded, and obedience to any personal directives, admonitions and restraints, being witnesses to these facts under His authority, commission by this union with Jesus through The Holy Spirit, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-48, Matt 28:19-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. May Your will be done on earth as You rule over the church and nations, Ps 22:28, and collectively as the church until You come to reward the righteous and recompense the wicked, 2 Cor 10:3-6, and arrive in fulness at the Return of Christ, Matt 24:30, Matt 25:31-32.

๐Ÿ™ Give us Each Day our Daily Bread: Spiritual -- we can't live by bread alone but every Word of God, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4. Meet our spiritual, emotional, social, physical and financial needs mightily, Phil 4:19, so we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30, and our neighbors, Mk 12:31, even the lost, Matt 9:36, and even enemies, Matt 5:44, as ourselves -- and see others as Christ, who looked beyond his own interests, to the interests of others, considering others as more important than we, Phil 2:1-5.

๐Ÿ™ Forgive Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors... We confess we've sinned against You, Rom 3:23, 1 Jn 1:8, 1 Jn 1:10 (name specific sins and areas of ongoing struggles), and others, receive forgiveness, Lk 1:77, & pray FOR those who sin against us, (by name and specific offenses), asking they'd repent and be saved, Job 42:7-16, entrusting their souls to a faithful creator and recognizing it is He who alone who is in fact the one appointed both to save and to judge, Romans 12:9, 1 Pet 4:19.

๐Ÿ™ Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation and evil, Luke 11:4, sin, 1 Cor 8:1, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, 2 Cor 11:16, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

๐Ÿ™Œ For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... (Not unto us O Lord, but unto Your Name Be Glory, Ps 115:1)... We Thank You for hearing, Mk 11:24, Amen, in Jesus' Name, in Him All The Promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join with you in this beautiful meditation on the pattern prayer our Lord Jesus taught and we thank you for sharing this outline that rightly divides it as first concerning the Father, His honor, His kingdom and His will, and second concerning our provision, our relationship with God and with others through forgiveness, and our deliverance from sin and the evil one.

We agree that this prayer was never meant to be mindlessly repeated as vain repetition, for Jesus Himself warned in Matt 6:7 not to use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do, but was given as a form and summary of the true topics and petitions that should shape our praying when we come to the Father through the Son. We cherish the order you have highlighted, for it reflects Matt 6:33 where we are told to seek first Gods Kingdom and His righteousness, and then all these things will be added to us.

We pray together with you now over each petition.

Our Father who is in heaven, we pause to consider with whom we speak. We were once strangers to the covenants and without hope, hostile in our minds, yet while we were still sinners Christ died for us. We thank You that because Jesus shed His blood for our sins, was buried, rose again and was exalted to Your right hand as in Ps 110:1, we who have received Him and believed on His name have been given the right to become children of God according to John 1:12, and have received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry, Abba, Father, as in Gal 4:6 and Mark 14:36. How great is Your love that we Gentiles should be called Your children.

Hallowed be Your name, we pray that Your gracious and compassionate name revealed in Ex 34:6 may be honored in our thoughts, words and deeds. May we not take Your name in vain as forbidden in Ex 20:7 nor cause it to be blasphemed among others as in Rom 2:24, but may our lives reverence every name You have revealed, that You are Elohim, El Elyon the Most High, El Roi the God who sees, El Shaddai God Almighty, El Olam the Everlasting God, Yahweh Jireh our Provider, our Healer, our Peace, our Shepherd, our Righteousness. We pray with Hab 2:14 that the earth may be filled with the knowledge of Your glory as the waters cover the sea, and that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow as in Phil 2:10.

Your Kingdom come, we ask that Your reign would come to us and through us. We pray for the fruit of Your Kingdom which is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit as in Rom 14:17, and love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control as in Gal 5:22, and for justice and humility as in Mic 6:8 to do justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God. We ask for the gifts of the Spirit to equip the Body until we all attain to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God as in Eph 4:13, whether apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, and the gifts of wisdom, knowledge, faith, healings, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues and interpretation as in 1 Cor 12:4 and Rom 12:6. We pray most of all for power to live a holy life overflowing with love, for the Kingdom of God is not in word but in power as in 1 Cor 4:20, and to cast out darkness by the finger of God as in Luke 11:20. And we join our hearts to the cry of Rev 22:20, Come, Lord Jesus, that Your Kingdom may come in fullness on earth as it is in heaven.

Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, we submit ourselves to know and do Your will moment by moment, to hear Your voice as Your sheep do in John 10:27 and to be led by Your Spirit as sons are in Rom 8:14. May we abide in Christ that we may bear fruit and so prove to be His disciples as in John 15:8, making disciples of all nations, teaching them to observe all that He commanded as in Matt 28:19, witnessing to His death for our sins and His resurrection and calling all to repentance and forgiveness of sins as in Luke 24:47.

Give us today our daily bread, we acknowledge that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God as in Deut 8:3 and Matt 4:4. Meet our spiritual, emotional, physical and financial needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus as in Phil 4:19, so that we may love You with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and love our neighbors as ourselves as in Mark 12:30, even loving our enemies as in Matt 5:44 and looking not only to our own interests but also to the interests of others as in Phil 2:4.

Forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors, we confess that we have all sinned and fall short of Your glory as in Rom 3:23, and if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves as in 1 John 1:8. We thank You that if we confess our sins You are faithful and righteous to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness as in 1 John 1:9. Give us grace to forgive from the heart those who have sinned against us, remembering that if we do not forgive neither will our Father forgive us as in Matt 6:14, and help us to entrust judgment to You who judges righteously as in Rom 12:19 and 1 Pet 4:19, praying even for those who have wronged us that they may repent and be saved.

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one, we pray with John 17:15 that You would keep us from the evil one, and with Ps 91:11 that You would give Your angels charge over us. Keep us from evil and deception and from false teachers who have a form of godliness but deny its power as in 2 Tim 3:5, and deliver us from every evil work. We know You will not allow us to be tempted above what we are able but will with the temptation also make the way of escape as in 1 Cor 10:13.

For Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the power and Yours is the glory forever, for Yours is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty as in 1 Chron 29:11, and not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Your name give glory as in Ps 115:1. We thank You that You hear us when we ask according to Your will as in Mark 11:24 and that in Jesus all the promises of God are Yes and Amen as in 2 Cor 1:20.

We are encouraged by your diligence to pray this outline not as empty words but through serious consideration of the weight of each petition, expecting answers as those who ask in faith without doubting as in James 1:6, for the effective prayer of a righteous person can accomplish much as in James 5:16. Continue to seek Him first and to abide in Him, and we trust He will shape your heart to desire what He desires and to live for His honor until He comes.

We thank the Father for you and pray that He will deepen your communion with Him as you pray after this manner, in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Thank you for sharing how you are walking through the prayer Jesus taught, putting the Father and His kingdom first and then bringing your own needs for provision, forgiveness and protection. We hear a sincere desire to pray with understanding and not just repeat words, and to keep your heart aligned with Him day by day.

What you described fits how prayer grows over time. It is less about trying to get every petition perfect in one sitting and more like training, small faithful moments that shape us gradually. Your outline gives you a steady place to return to, so when life feels rushed or distracted you have a clear path to refocus on who God is, what He is doing, and how you can walk with Him and with others in grace.

One simple way to keep this fresh might be to linger on just one part of the pattern each morning for a few minutes, noticing what it stirs in you that day and bringing that honestly to the Lord, rather than hurrying through all of it at once. Over weeks that slow attention often helps the prayer settle deeper.

Father, we thank You for drawing this heart to seek You first. We ask You to meet daily needs, to give joy in knowing You as Father, to deepen love for others and a ready willingness to forgive as You have forgiven, and to keep this one close to You and guarded from evil. Lead in wisdom and peace today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

It is a good and profitable exercise to take those words which the Lord Jesus gave to His disciples and turn them from a form to be repeated without thought into a pattern for the heart to be prayed with understanding and expectation.

You have done well to remember that our Saviour said, Pray after this manner. He did not give us a charm to be recited, but a guide for the soul. The prayerless one may repeat many a form, yet the breathing desire, the living words, have not come from his lips. But when the heart knows what it needs and asks according to the mind of Christ, God takes delight in that poor, feeble, broken prayer and grants the humble petition. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and then shall these other things be added unto you.

Our Father who is in heaven. What mercy is here. We who were strangers to the covenants, hostile in our minds, are brought near by the shed blood and resurrection of the Son, who was delivered for our offences and raised again for our justification. By Him we have received the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Nobody would have thought of this way of deliverance from the pit of hell through a ransom if God had not thought of it, but He is gracious and says, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom. In Christ that ransom is found, and as many as received Him are called the children of God.

Hallowed be Your name. Here the soul learns reverence before it learns request. The Lord would have those who are dedicated to Him to be separated from the rest of mankind, not in pride but in holiness. To hallow His name is to desire that His character, His titles, His mercy and justice, His compassion as proclaimed to Moses, may be honoured in our thoughts, words and deeds, and that our lives may not cause that worthy name to be derided among men.

Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is more than a wish for a future glory when the Lord shall come again, though we do pray, Come quickly, Lord Jesus. It is a prayer for present grace. The Kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, and to pray for its coming is to pray for the fruit of the Spirit, for gifts that edify the Body, for power not in word only but in deed, and above all for power to live a holy life overflowing with love. Deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it. He first prays, Holy Father, keep them, and again, Keep them from the evil, but this negative blessing is not enough, He cries, Sanctify them. That sanctification is something more than mere morality, it is deliverance from the hardness and carnality of nature and admittance into that which is spiritual. So we pray that we may know His will, be led by His Spirit, abide in Christ, bear fruit, and in all things do that which pleases Him, while we wait for that day when His will shall be done fully and His glory shall cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.

Give us this day our daily bread. Here dependence is taught. We cannot live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. For spiritual, temporal and all other needs we look to Him who has promised to supply, that we may love Him with heart and soul and strength and love our neighbour as ourselves.

Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. There is forgiveness with Thee that Thou mayest be feared. It is a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. That forgiveness comes not by our merit but by the offering of our Lord who was holy, harmless, undefiled, and who offered up Himself to show at once the hatred of evil and the abundance of mercy. Having received such pardon, the child of God learns to forgive, to pray for those who have sinned against him, entrusting judgment to Him who alone is appointed to save and to judge.

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. This is the prayer of one who knows his weakness and the subtle power of the adversary. We ask to be kept from sin, from false ways, from the evil one, and to be preserved by that same grace which first delivered us. The Lord who has chastened us sorely has not given us over unto death, and He is able to keep that which we have committed unto Him.

For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. All is of Him and through Him. Deliverance is of the Lord, but it must be accomplished by His own appointed means, and He takes care to use instruments which show that the power cannot be in the creature. He who created all things is the Agent, and to Him be all praise.

May the Lord teach you to pray thus, not with vain repetitions but with faith that expects an answer, and may you live to declare the works of the Lord, who has redeemed you from far off, washed you from your sins in His own blood, and set you free indeed. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
