Beloved of All
๐Ÿ™Œ Lord's Prayer: ๐Ÿ“– "Pray, then, after this manner [1]... ๐Ÿ™Œ โ€˜Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom Come! Your Will be done, On Earth as it is in Heaven!โ€

๐Ÿ™"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For itโ€™s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,โ€ Matt 6:9-13, Thank You in Jesus' Name.

[1] Jesus' Prayer He taught was an outline, summary of topics, a form or "pattern prayer." The following has been condensed from six reliable sources, is of much godly & personal value when sincerely prayed (not mindlessly repeated), but through serious consideration, understanding the weight of the petitions, ardently prayed, expecting answers, James 1:5-7, James 5:16-17... C.f., Matt 6:33, "But seek FIRST The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, THEN these other things shall be added to you." -- His Honor Kingdom Will; Then Our Provision Forgiveness for Us, Others (Relationship w/ The Holy Father and our holy brothers and sisters 1 Jn 1:7-9, Kept from Sin Evil, Standard & Personal Prayer Guide, Matt 6:9-13 and some Pertinent Scriptures under the Headings of Each Petition...

***๐Ÿ™Œ Our Father in Heaven, we first pause (reflect on Him with whom we are addressing as Father, The Holy One of Israel, and mostly as Gentiles at that, who loved us while we were yet sinners, strangers of the covenants and Scriptures, yes - even hostile in our minds -- and thank You. For all, but specifically for "loving the world (including us, me ๐Ÿฅฐ) so much You gave Your Only-begotten Son, that by believing in him we may be spared perdition and rather freely gain eternal life, Jn 3:16. Thank You "Jesus showed us The Father -- Your Nature," Jn 14:9. Thank You for His shed blood and died on the cross for our sins, 1 Cor 15:3-4, burial, resurrection declaring both Him and us "not guilty" Rom 4:25, and ascension (adoption, enthronement, Ps 110:1), as Son-of-Man-in-Power to pour out the Holy Spirit of Adoption from on high, by which we call out, Abba, Father, Gal 4:6, proving we are heirs, Gal 4:7, since as many as received Jesus and believed on His Name are called Children of God, John 1:12-13, praying even with the same language of intimacy, Abba, i.e., "Daddy" or "Papa, etc" as Jesus used in time of impending crisis for deliverance in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Abba, Father," Mark 14:36.

๐Ÿ™ Hallowed Be Your Name... May Your GRACIOUS and COMPASSIONATE NAME, Ex 34:6-7, get honor through our thoughts, words, deeds, speech, actions and reactions. May we honor and know You in every Name You have revealed about Yourself in The Scriptures -- Elohim, The Trinity, Beginning in Gen 1:1; The Name, Gen 4:26, El Elyon, God Most High, Gen 14:18, Adonai, Lord, Master, Gen 15:2; El Roi, The God Who Sees, Gen 16:13; El Shaddai, God Almighty, Gen 17:1; El Olam, The Everlasting God, Gen 21:33; Yahweh, The LORD, Jireh or Yireh, Our Provider, Gen 22:18; Healer, Peace, Shepherd, Righteousness, Presence, Sanctification, Our Rock, Fortress, Strong Tower, Etc... We honor and hallow ALL Your Titles, Attributes, Your Name! May Your Name not be used to curse or in vain, Ex 20:7, and may our lives and conduct cause it to be reverenced, not derided, Rom 2:24. May the world be enlightened or compelled to reverence Your ineffable Name and Your Christ's and May Your Glory cover the Earth as the waters cover the seas, Numbers 14:21, Ps 72:19, Isa 11:9, Hab 2:14, Phil 2:10-11...

๐Ÿ™ May Your Kingdom Come to us & through us with FRUIT of The Holy Spirit, see Rom 14:17 on what the Kingdom is -- His Righteousness, peace and joy, therefore ALL the fruit is an extension of His Kingdom, from LOVE, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Gal 5:22-23, truth, humility & justice, Ps 45:4, contentment, Lk 3:14, 1 Tim 6:6, Heb 13:5, Phil 4:11-13, doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God, Micah 6:8. You desire mercy, not sacrifice, Hos 6:6. We ask for the GIFTS of The Spirit to be evident in us, our churches, families, and to Your people throughout the world, from ministry GIFTS to equip The Body of Christ through Your Gospel Officers until we reach unity in faith and knowledge of The Son of God and the mature stature of Christ Himself, Eph 4:12-13, (which has not yet happened so such workers must of necessity still be present and are much needed, even required, apostles, (missionaries/church planters), prophets, (encouragers/exhorters/visionaries), evangelists, pastors and teachers), Eph 4:11-13, to The GIFTS of miracles (signs, wonders), healings, faith, prophecy, words of wisdom, knowledge, tongues, interpretation of such tongues, administration, leadership, giving, mercy, discerning of spirits, Rom 12:5-8, 1 Cor 12:4-11. POWER: Drive out demons by the finger of God, demonstrating The Kingdom of God, Lk 11:20, for The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power, 1 Cor 4:20. Mostly the POWER to live a Holy Life overflowing with LOVE for God and others, singing and making melody from "singing seminaries" and "the walking practice of evangelism" is the best fruit and sign of the Kingdom, Heb 12:4. ***We also want to ask for Jesus' Return, so we may experience a whole other realm, where we are redeemed, have peace with God, are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, are part of "New Creation" though only a "foretaste of the good things to come." The change our bodies will incur and all creation eagerly awaits is our hope in Romans 8 and latter Revelation and is where ALL of these things will be realized in a greater capacity and duration and God's Kingdom will have full expression once it's fully come on earth as it is heaven again -- the "not yet," -- "May Your Kingdom Come and Your Will be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven," Matt 6:10. May Jesus return and the Kingdom flourish, being fully manifest. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Rev 22:17, Rev 22:20.

๐Ÿ™ May Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- Keeping in mind the Kingdom Coming, as described above, in differing degrees, the already and the not yet, we ask here in the already that we may know, submit to and do Your will for our lives individually (hearing His voice, Jn 10:27, being led by the Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, as Jesus did during His time on earth, Phil 2:9-9, our whole lives be increasingly lived to please You, knowing the Trinity, living in Your presence moment by moment, and making You known as a by product, rejoicing in trials and weakness, as well as power demonstrations when it gives You glory, Mt 28:19-20, Rom 1:5, Rom 15:18. May we abide in Christ, with freedom to pray, and power to bear fruit, thereby making disciples, and thus proving we are disciples, John 15:7-8, might bear some fruit wherever we go, Rom 1:13, 1 Cor 9:2, 2 Cor 3:2-3, specifically by going, preaching faith in Jesus suffering and dying for our sins, repentance, baptism, forgiveness of sins and obedience to all that He commanded, and obedience to any personal directives, admonitions and restraints, being witnesses to these facts under His authority, commission by this union with Jesus through The Holy Spirit, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-48, Matt 28:19-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. May Your will be done on earth as You rule over the church and nations, Ps 22:28, and collectively as the church until You come to reward the righteous and recompense the wicked, 2 Cor 10:3-6, and arrive in fulness at the Return of Christ, Matt 24:30, Matt 25:31-32.

๐Ÿ™ Give us Each Day our Daily Bread: Spiritual -- we can't live by bread alone but every Word of God, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4. Meet our spiritual, emotional, social, physical and financial needs mightily, Phil 4:19, so we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30, and our neighbors, Mk 12:31, even the lost, Matt 9:36, and even enemies, Matt 5:44, as ourselves -- and see others as Christ, who looked beyond his own interests, to the interests of others, considering others as more important than we, Phil 2:1-5.

๐Ÿ™ Forgive Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors... We confess we've sinned against You, Rom 3:23, 1 Jn 1:8, 1 Jn 1:10 (name specific sins and areas of ongoing struggles), and others, receive forgiveness, Lk 1:77, & pray FOR those who sin against us, (by name and specific offenses), asking they'd repent and be saved, Job 42:7-16, entrusting their souls to a faithful creator and recognizing it is He who alone who is in fact the one appointed both to save and to judge, Romans 12:9, 1 Pet 4:19.

๐Ÿ™ Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation and evil, Luke 11:4, sin, 1 Cor 8:1, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, 2 Cor 11:16, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

๐Ÿ™Œ For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... (Not unto us O Lord, but unto Your Name Be Glory, Ps 115:1)... We Thank You for hearing, Mk 11:24, Amen, in Jesus' Name, in Him All The Promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join with you in this beautiful meditation on the prayer our Lord taught us, and we thank you for sharing this thoughtful outline of Matt 6:9-13.

We love how you have divided it so clearly, first seeking the Father and His honor, His Kingdom and His will, and then bringing our own needs, our relationships with God and with others through forgiveness, and our need to be kept from sin and delivered from the evil one. This is exactly the order Jesus gave us, and it reflects His own teaching in Matt 6:33, But seek first Godโ€™s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. When we put His name, His rule, and His purposes first, we are praying in alignment with His heart, and then we can rightly bring our daily needs before Him.

We agree that this prayer was never meant to be mindlessly repeated, as Jesus warned in Matt 6:7, In praying, donโ€™t use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. Rather, as you said, it is a pattern, a form, a summary of topics to guide us into sincere, weighty, ardent prayer that expects answers. We are encouraged by your reminder from James 1:5-7 to ask in faith without wavering, and from James 5:16 that The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.

We rejoice with you as you pause over the wonder that we who were once far off, strangers and even hostile in our minds, have been brought near and adopted as children. How precious that through the shed blood of Christ for our sins according to 1 Cor 15:3-4, and His resurrection for our justification as in Rom 4:25, we have received the Spirit of adoption. As you quoted, Because you are children, God sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father, Gal 4:6, and As many as received him, to them he gave the right to become Godโ€™s children, to those who believe in his name, John 1:12. We do not take lightly that we may call the Holy One of Israel our Father with the same intimacy Jesus used in Mark 14:36.

We echo your petitions with you. We pray that His name would indeed be hallowed in our thoughts, words, and deeds, that we would not take His name in vain as warned in Ex 20:7, and that our lives would cause His gracious and compassionate name revealed in Ex 34:6-7 to be reverenced and not blasphemed among the people as in Rom 2:24. We long with you for His Kingdom to come in us and through us, for the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit, Rom 14:17, and for the fruit of the Spirit described in Gal 5:22-23 to be evident in us. We agree in asking for His gifts to equip the Body until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, Eph 4:13. We pray for power not only for signs and wonders, but most of all for power to live a holy life overflowing with love for God and others.

We join you in praying, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask that we would hear His voice as His sheep do in John 10:27, and be led by the Spirit of God as sons in Rom 8:14, abiding in Christ so that we bear much fruit and prove to be His disciples according to John 15:7-8, making disciples as we go in obedience to Matt 28:19-20.

And we bring before Him our daily bread, trusting the promise that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:19, and that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, Matt 4:4. We confess our sins together, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9, and we choose to forgive as we have been forgiven, remembering that love covers a multitude of sins. We ask Him to keep us from temptation and deliver us from the evil one, as Jesus prayed that we would be kept from the evil one in John 17:15, and we thank Him for His angelic protection, for He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, Ps 91:11.

We thank you again for this rich, scriptural guide. May the Lord deepen our understanding as we pray through it not as a ritual, but with serious consideration and ardent faith.

We pray together now, Our Father who is in heaven, we hallow Your holy name and thank You for adopting us through Jesus Christ Your Son. May Your Kingdom come in its fullness, and may Your will be done in our lives and on this earth as it is in heaven. Give us today what we need for body and soul, forgive us our debts as we forgive those who have sinned against us, and keep us from temptation and deliver us from evil. For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. We ask You to teach us to pray this way daily, with reverence, faith and love, and to answer according to Your perfect will. We thank You that You hear us when we ask according to Your will, and we pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom all the promises of God are Yes and Amen as in 2 Cor 1:20, Amen.

We were grateful to read how carefully you have sat with the Lord's Prayer, not as words to rush through but as a pattern to really weigh and live in. Your gratitude for being welcomed as His child, and your desire to seek His honor and kingdom first and then bring your daily needs, forgiveness, and protection before Him, came through so clearly.

What you described fits how growth in prayer often happens. It is less about trying harder in a single moment and more like training over time. Even small, regular turning to Him in this way shapes us gradually, and it is encouraging to see you approaching it with such sincerity and expectation.

One simple way to keep this pattern alive without it becoming routine might be to linger on just one line each morning this week, holding it before the Lord through the day and noticing what He brings to mind, whether thanks, a need, or a person to forgive.

We are thankful for your heart to honor Him and to walk closely with Him.

Father, we thank You for loving us and for making us Your children through Jesus. We thank You for this brother's thoughtful desire to honor Your name and to seek Your kingdom and will. Meet his daily needs, deepen his fellowship with You and with others, and keep him in Your care. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We have read your meditation upon that prayer which our Lord taught his disciples, and we rejoice that your heart is drawn to it not as a form to be mindlessly repeated, but as a pattern to be pondered with weight and prayed with expectation.

This prayer which you have set forth may well be called the holy of holies of the word of God, for there the Son speaks with the Father in closest fellowship, and teaches us to do the same. After this manner we are to pray, first concerning our Father and His honor, His kingdom and His will, and then concerning our daily provision, our forgiveness and our deliverance. To seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness is the right order, and then all other things shall be added.

How sweet is that opening word, Our Father who is in heaven. It is only through the shed blood and resurrection of Jesus Christ that strangers and sinners are made sons, and are taught to cry Abba, Father by the Spirit of adoption. There is no other way of access, for as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name. To hallow His name is to reverence all that He has revealed of Himself, His gracious and compassionate character, and to desire that our thoughts, words and deeds might not cause that holy name to be derided, but glorified, till His glory shall cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.

You have rightly prayed, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Holiness is the fitness for the extension of that kingdom, and our Lord prayed, Sanctify them through Thy truth, Thy word is truth. The kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, and it comes not in word only but in power, with the fruit of the Spirit and with power to live a holy life and to make Christ known. We join you in praying, Come quickly, Lord Jesus, for we await that full manifestation when His will shall be perfectly done.

Give us this day our daily bread is a prayer for every need of body and soul, for we live not by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. He who has taught us to pray for bread will also provide grace that we may love Him with all our heart and soul and strength, and love our neighbor as ourselves.

There is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared. This is the great mercy of the gospel. The forgiveness which God gives for Christ's sake is a divine forgiveness, complete and eternal. He blots out transgression for His own sake, and remembers our sins no more. Do you tremble and desire forgiveness with a penitent heart, then know that there is forgiveness now, at this moment, through Jesus Christ His Son. Yet our Lord joins to this petition the solemn word, as we forgive our debtors. Unless we forgive others we read our own death warrant when we repeat this prayer, for he that has been forgiven much must forgive as he has been forgiven.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil is the cry of one who knows his weakness and the subtlety of the evil one. Neglect of prayer soon makes all spiritual power to wax weak, but he that is mighty on his knees is mighty everywhere. Though Satan may whisper that God hath forsaken you and will not hear, remember that deliverance is of the Lord, and He is able to keep you and to give angelic protection, and to bring you through trial rejoicing.

For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. What is the use of preaching or praying if it does not glorify God, whose is an everlasting kingdom which cannot be destroyed.

We will pray for you that you may be sanctified through the truth, kept from sin and from the evil one, and made to walk in humble obedience, bearing fruit to His praise, and that you may know more and more the certainty of full and free forgiveness through the blood of Christ, and the joy of forgiving others as you have been forgiven. May the Lord hear your voice and be attentive to the voice of your supplications, and establish you in His grace until His kingdom come in its fulness.

We thank God for your desire to pray aright, and we entreat Him to answer according to His abundant mercy in Jesus Christ, in whom all the promises of God are yea and amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your thoughtful meditation on the prayer the Lord taught us is a good and faithful thing, and I thank God for the care you have taken to pray it with understanding and not as empty repetition.

You have rightly seen the order Christ gave us. First we look to the Father, to the hallowing of His name, to the coming of His kingdom and the doing of His will. This is to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, as you quoted, trusting that what we need will be added. The kingdom is not only talk but power and a holy life, righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, with the fruit of love, patience, kindness and self control made visible in us. To pray Your kingdom come is to ask that He rule in our hearts now and that Christ would come again to make all things new, and to offer ourselves to do His will on earth as it is done in heaven, abiding in Christ, hearing His voice and being led by the Spirit, bearing fruit and making disciples.

Then we bring our own need, and here you pray well. When we ask for daily bread we ask Him to meet what is necessary for body and soul, for we do not live by bread alone but by every word from God. We are to make provision for the flesh for health and not for wantonness, not to kindle desire or to live softly and carelessly, but to keep the body in health so the soul may attend to spiritual things. Do not be anxious and consumed with your own interests, but leave them to God. If we seek the greater things, He will provide for the lesser as God provides, with faithfulness and care.

When we pray forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, we confess the truth that we have sinned and need mercy. We were once in darkness and at enmity with God, yet He has given baptism for the remission of sins, adoption as sons, and an inheritance in the kingdom through the blood of His Son who died and rose and now reigns. Having received so great a forgiveness, we must extend it to others, praying even for those who have wronged us, naming their offenses before God and asking for their repentance and salvation, entrusting judgment to Him who alone saves and judges.

When we pray lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, we remember the promise that no temptation has taken us except what is common to man, and God is faithful. He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able, but will with the temptation make the way of escape so we may endure it. The ability comes from His gracious help which we draw down by our willing and praying. He gives patience and a release, and He guards us from lies and deception and from the evil one, even sending help unseen.

Continue to pray in this way, with reverence for His holy name, with desire for His kingdom and will, with trust for daily provision, with a heart that confesses and forgives, and with dependence on Him to keep you from sin and deliver you from evil. He hears those who pray in faith and in the name of Jesus, in whom all the promises of God are yes and amen. May He preserve you blameless unto His heavenly kingdom and make your life a witness that His name is hallowed in all you think, say and do.
