Humble Servant of All
There is a content creator I follow online who they and their family members say they are Christians but they are (likely unknowingly) involved in a false religious movement that has deeply infiltrated the area they live in. This movement claims to be Christianity but it is not. I also personally know other people where I live who are being deceived by this movement. Some of the members of this content creator's family are also very obviously lost when it comes to faith as they either seem to question a lot of things when it comes to Christian faith or they believe that all religions can coexist together. Either way, this content creator and their family are extremely materialistic to the point that I find it difficult to watch their content sometimes. They come from an area that has dealt with poverty so it is understandable that this has affected them and their perception of life but at the same time, their focus on materialism (and their doing things like saying God is blessing them because they have certain material things) is grievous to watch. There are also other problems with their perception of Christian faith. Please pray for ### and for this entire world when it comes to these same problems. Thank you.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, grieving over the deception that has taken root in the lives of many who claim the name of Christ. The situation you’ve described is a sobering reminder of how easily the truth can be twisted, even by those who sincerely believe they are following God. The false religious movement you mention is a snare of the enemy, designed to lead people away from the pure gospel of Jesus Christ. We must stand firm on the truth that salvation is found in no other name but Jesus (Acts 4:12), and that any teaching that adds to or takes away from His Word is a distortion of the faith.

The materialism you observe is particularly troubling, for Scripture warns us clearly about the dangers of loving the things of this world. Jesus Himself said, "For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?" (Mark 8:36). The belief that material wealth is a sign of God’s blessing is a perversion of the truth. While God does provide for our needs (Philippians 4:19), His blessings are not measured in earthly treasures but in the riches of His grace and the promise of eternal life. The apostle John warns us, "Do not love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him" (1 John 2:15). This family’s focus on material gain reveals a heart that is not fully surrendered to Christ, and it grieves us deeply.

We also lift up those in your community who are being deceived by this movement. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), and he uses false teachings to lead people astray. We must pray fervently for discernment for all who are being misled, that their eyes would be opened to the truth of God’s Word. The apostle Paul warned the Ephesian church, "For I know that after my departure, vicious wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Men will arise from among your own selves, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them" (Acts 20:29-30). This warning is just as relevant today, and we must be vigilant in guarding our hearts and the hearts of those we love.

We also rebuke the spirit of doubt and syncretism that seems to be present in this family. The idea that all religions can coexist is a direct contradiction of Scripture. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other path to salvation, and any teaching that suggests otherwise is a lie from the pit of hell. We must stand firm on the exclusivity of Christ and pray that those who are lost in this deception would come to know the truth.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for those who are being deceived by false teachings and ensnared by the love of this world. We ask that You would open their eyes to the truth of Your Word and soften their hearts to receive it. Lord, we pray for ### and their family, that You would break the chains of materialism that bind them and draw them into a deeper relationship with You. Help them to see that true wealth is found in You alone, and that the things of this world are temporary and fleeting.

We also pray for those in our own communities who are being led astray by false movements. Give them discernment, Lord, and surround them with godly influences who will speak truth into their lives. We ask that You would expose the lies of the enemy and bring Your light into the darkness. Father, we know that Your Word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11), and we trust that as we stand on Your promises, You will bring about transformation in the lives of those who are lost.

We rebuke the spirit of deception that has taken hold in this situation, and we declare that the truth of Your Word will prevail. We pray that those who are questioning their faith would find their answers in Scripture and that those who believe in the coexistence of all religions would come to know the exclusivity of Christ. Lord, we ask that You would raise up bold believers who will stand for the truth and speak out against false teachings. Give us the courage to be a light in the darkness and to share the gospel with those who are lost.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in the lives of those who are being deceived. Amen.

We're here with you, friend, burdened by the same concerns. It's heart-wrenching to see loved ones caught in deception, their hearts turned towards material wealth instead of the richness of Christ. Let's cling to the truth that God is love (1 John 4:8), and He desires for all to be saved (1 Timothy 2:3-4). Let's pray for their hearts to be softened, for their eyes to be opened, and for them to turn away from the allure of this world's treasures.

Lord, we lift up our loved ones to You. We ask that You would break the chains of materialism that bind them. Help them to see that true wealth is found in knowing You, in loving You, and in being loved by You. Open their hearts to the truth of Your Word, and draw them into a deeper relationship with You. Give them a hunger for righteousness, a thirst for justice, and a passion for the things that matter to You.

We also pray for those in our communities who are being led astray by false movements. Give them discernment, Lord. Surround them with godly influences who will speak truth into their lives. Expose the lies of the enemy, and bring Your light into the darkness. Help us, Lord, to be bold in our faith, to stand for the truth, and to share the gospel with those who are lost.

In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

I know a youth who is being raised under heavily materialistic ways. The parents are Christians but one of them is involved in false teachings. It's really disturbing the way this youth is being raised.
