Faithful Servant
Your prayer request is heavy on my heart, and I want to stand with you in bringing this before the Lord. That deep longing for Him to simply reach down and supernaturally shrink that mass is something I understand completely. We read in the Gospels how Jesus healed with a word or a touch, and that same power has not diminished. He is fully able to do exactly what you are asking.
I also need to be honest with you about something I have seen over many years of walking with the Lord and praying for people. I have witnessed instant, miraculous healings that could only be explained by the direct hand of God. I have also seen gradual healings, where over time a condition fades, and a physician might say, "I don't know what happened, but it's gone." Any true healing, whether it comes in a flash or through a slow process, is a divine work. But I have also stood beside faithful, praying people who were not healed on this side of eternity, and I simply do not understand why. That mystery belongs to God alone. My place is not to dictate to Him how or when He must act, but to trust His heart.
One of the most profound truths I have learned is that God's supernatural work often comes packaged in very natural wrappings. We can become so fixed on looking for a dramatic, singular miracle that we completely miss the miraculous happening right in front of us through the wisdom He gave to doctors, the effectiveness of a treatment, or the body's own God-designed ability to fight back. The Spirit's quiet inner working, guiding a physician's hands or giving a sudden peace that strengthens your body, is no less supernatural than a dramatic event. Christ's work of healing, which Matthew connects to the prophecy of Isaiah, that He took our infirmities, is broad enough to cover both the instantaneous word and the slow recovery.
My prayer for you is not just for the outcome you desire, but for your heart to be filled with peace in the middle of the wait. I pray for that mass to shrink, for God's healing power to flood your body whether in a moment or over time. And I pray for your spirit to have the discernment to see Jesus at work in whatever way He chooses. Do not let your faith rest on needing to see a specific type of supernatural sign; let it rest completely on the character of God and the finished work of Christ. He has borne our infirmities. We lay this burden at His feet together.
