Good and Faithful Servant
I have met someone who I truly love and who loves me and we want to marry at the end of the year. Please pray that God will bless our union and unite our lives and bless and help us with everything we would like to do in the future. Thank you.

We rejoice with you in the love you have found and the desire to enter into the sacred covenant of marriage. The Lord delights in unions that honor Him, and we are grateful for your heart to seek His blessing upon your future together. Marriage is a beautiful reflection of Christ’s love for His church, and it is right to invite God into every step of this journey.

First, we must emphasize that marriage is a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman, as the Lord designed from the beginning. Genesis 2:24 tells us, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be one flesh." This union is holy, and it is meant to be a testimony of God’s faithfulness and love. We pray that your marriage will be rooted in this truth, that you would honor one another as Christ honors His bride, and that your love would grow deeper in Him with each passing year.

We also want to gently encourage you to examine your relationship in light of Scripture. If you and your beloved are not yet married, we urge you to uphold purity in your conduct. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage alone. Hebrews 13:4 says, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." If there has been any compromise in this area, we encourage you to repent and seek the Lord’s forgiveness, trusting in His grace to restore and guide you into holiness. The Lord is faithful to cleanse and renew those who come to Him with humble hearts.

We also lift up your future plans and dreams before the Lord. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." We pray that the Lord would order your steps as a couple, that He would give you wisdom in every decision, and that your home would be built on the foundation of His Word. May He bless the work of your hands, provide for your needs, and fill your marriage with joy, peace, and purpose.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the love You have placed between this man and this woman. We thank You for the gift of marriage and for the way it reflects Your covenant love for Your people. Lord, we ask that You would bless their union, uniting them in heart, mind, and spirit. Prepare them both to be the husband and wife You have called them to be, that they may serve You together all the days of their lives.

Father, we pray for purity in their relationship as they await marriage. Guard their hearts and minds from temptation, and help them to honor You in all they do. If there has been any sin, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing, that they may start their marriage with a clean slate before You.

Lord, we ask that You would bless their future together. Give them wisdom as they make plans, and guide them in every decision. Provide for their needs, protect them from harm, and fill their home with Your presence. May their marriage be a light to others, showing the world the beauty of a union centered on You.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified in their marriage. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord together as a couple, studying His Word, and praying for one another. Marriage is a journey that requires daily dependence on God, and we are confident that as you both surrender to Him, He will lead you into a future filled with hope and blessing. May the Lord richly bless you as you prepare for this next chapter of your lives.

What a joy to be standing with you as you look toward marriage. We can hear the excitement in your words, and we share in that hope for all the good ahead.

As you prepare, we want to gently encourage you both to invest in your future in a practical way: premarital counseling. The wedding day comes quickly, but the marriage is meant to last a lifetime. Studies show that couples who go through premarital preparation can reduce their risk of divorce by as much as 30 percent, not because something is wrong, but because it equips you to communicate well, navigate conflict, and understand each other's expectations long before challenges arise. A pastor or a mentor couple can walk with you through a resource like PREPARE-ENRICH or a similar program, and the skills you build now will serve you for decades. It is one of the most loving investments you can make in each other right now.

We are praying that as you plan your life together, you grow in wisdom and in a deep, self-giving love that reflects Christ's love for His church. May God guide your steps, strengthen your commitment, and fill your home with His peace.

Lord Jesus, we lift this couple to You with glad hearts. Thank You for the love they share and for their desire to honor You in marriage. Give them patience and clarity in these months of preparation. Surround them with wise counsel and deepen their trust in You as the true foundation of their life together. Bless their future and make their home a place of grace. In Your name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is a matter for deep heart-searching when a child of man seeks the blessing of the Lord upon marriage. The blessing of the Lord which made heaven and earth is no light thing, and it is a blessing belonging to a peculiar people, those who are in Christ Jesus. Before you ask that God would bless your union, ask yourselves whether you have each received the personal blessing, for until it can be said to you, "I will bless you," it cannot be said, "You shall be a blessing." Just in proportion as the grace of God helps you into that separated life and keeps you there, you shall be blessed and shall be made a blessing one to another. Bow your head, and let the Lord God pronounce on you that benediction, "Surely, blessing I will bless you." No spiritual blessing comes to any man by chance; it flows from the covenant sealed by the blood of the Lamb.

Take heed that your affection does not turn to idolatry, for if you make an idol of your beloved, the Lord in His jealousy may make that very idol your burden. Sin must be abhorred before covenant union can be consummated; blessed be God, there is cleansing from all filthiness and from all idols in the fountain opened for sin and uncleanness. Seek the double blessing of grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, and let it be your life to bless Him who gave you your life. If you are blessed of the Lord, then shall your union be a blessing, to your household, to the church, and to a weary world. The Lord fills His own that they may overflow. May He put a new heart within you and cause you to walk in His statutes, for then shall you know the blessing that makes rich and He addeth no sorrow with it. The Lord that made heaven and earth bless you, and keep you, and make your lives a fragrant testimony to His grace.

Your request for prayer fills me with joy that you have found one whom you love and who loves you, and that you desire to unite your lives in marriage. Yet let us not be careless: marriage is pure, but it does not itself bestow holiness. It is given to preserve the holiness that comes from faith, forbidding the defilement of that sanctity. If you are not yet wed, you must remain chaste, keeping yourselves from all impurity until that union is solemnized before God. For the marriage bed is honorable, but any intimacy outside it defiles. Flee from vice, and pursue love with great eagerness, for love is swift to depart if we do not cherish it. Let your affection for one another be rooted in the love of God, which brought the Lord down to earth and made Him a servant for our sakes.

I will pray that God bless your union, but His blessing rests on those who order their lives with self-restraint and lowliness of mind, seeking not fleeting gratification but the eternal blessings to come. Let your engagement be a season of preparation, not indulgence, so that you may present yourselves pure when you stand before His altar. Make room for each other in love, wrong no one, and live in such a way that you may welcome the appearing of Christ with confidence. Then will your marriage truly be blessed, and your lives united not only to one another but to the Lord who gives all good things.

It is a wonderful thing to give thanks for the love you have found and to seek God’s blessing as you prepare to marry. That desire to have your lives united and your future guided by Him is good and right.

As you pray, let the foundation of that prayer be a love for God Himself that is even deeper than your love for each other. The greatest command is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. When He is the true center of your existence and of your life together, then your love for one another finds its proper place, flowing out of that supreme love. You cannot fully love each other as you ought unless God is at the center. A marriage built on that foundation becomes something far richer than a union of two self-centered lives; it becomes a life of learning to love your neighbor as yourself, with your spouse as the closest neighbor you will ever have.

As you look toward this step, be aware of the weakness of our flesh. The desire is beautiful, and the spirit may be willing, but self-confidence can lead to a stumble. Do not think of yourselves more highly than you ought. The strength for a lasting, godly marriage is not found in your own resolve or even in the intensity of your present affection. It is found in daily dependence on the One who knows your frame and remembers that you are dust. When you fail, when the enemy whispers that you have failed too many times, remember His love and compassion. He sees your hearts, the motives and the issues within, and He is not through with you.

Let your prayer be for Him to work deeply in each of you, to bring about true spiritual maturity. Pray that your union would not just be blessed for your own happiness, but that it would be a place where the fruit of the Spirit abounds, where His love radiates from your lives. Ask Him to lead you and guide you into all truth, that as you are bound together in the bonds of His love, you would grow to love one another with that same self-giving love He has shown you. This is the love that is of God, not a fleeting, feeling-based love, but the steady, proven love that seeks the other's good.

If there has been anything in your life where you have resisted a full surrender to Him, know that His great love for you is so deep that He will use every circumstance to draw you to Himself. A desperate situation is sometimes the very sign of His love, the way He gently forces us to look to Christ alone. So as you bring your marriage before Him, bring your whole lives first. Lay every area down. His love is not a distant wish; it is the very power that will sustain you, forgive you, and give you boldness as you walk together. May this time of preparation be a season where His love is revealed to your hearts in ever greater measure.

We are so grateful for the privilege of standing with you in prayer as you and your beloved prepare for this sacred union. It is a joy to lift up your marriage before the Lord, asking Him to pour out His blessings, guidance, and favor upon your relationship. We have been praying that God would unite your lives in His perfect will, align your hearts with His purpose, and grant you wisdom and strength for the future you desire to build together.

If the Lord has already moved in wonderful ways—whether through peace, provision, or confirmation—we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you! If you feel your prayers are still unfolding, please share your request again so we may continue to intercede on your behalf. May God richly bless you both as you seek Him together, trusting in His timing and His plans for your lives.

We pray all these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.
