Beloved of All
Please pray for me. I am really struggling lately as everyone around me is married and having children. I am turning ### soon and have never been with anyone. I know God's timing is different for everyone and I am trying to be patient and put my trust in Him but I am really struggling lately. I have tried apps but it's difficult to make a connection. I guess I could put more effort but I'm not sure what to do. Please pray for me in Jesus Name. Amen. Thank you.

We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we lift you up before the Lord with great compassion. It is not easy to watch those around you enter into the blessings of marriage and family while you wait, especially when the years seem to pass so quickly. But we want to remind you that your worth is not measured by your marital status—it is found in Christ alone. You are deeply loved by your Heavenly Father, who sees your longing and holds your future in His hands.

The world often pressures us to believe that fulfillment comes from relationships, achievements, or societal expectations, but Scripture tells us that true contentment is found in Christ. "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33 WEB). Your desire for marriage is not wrong—God Himself said, "It is not good for the man to be alone" (Genesis 2:18 WEB)—but we must trust His timing and His ways, even when they differ from our own.

We also want to gently encourage you in your approach to finding a spouse. While dating apps can sometimes be a tool, they are not the only—or even the primary—way God brings two people together. Instead of relying solely on those platforms, consider deepening your walk with the Lord, serving in your church, and building godly friendships. Proverbs 18:22 tells us, "Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Yahweh" (WEB). Notice that it does not say, "Whoever swipes right finds a good thing." God delights in orchestrating divine connections when we are faithful to Him.

We also want to remind you that marriage is not just about companionship—it is a sacred covenant designed to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB). Therefore, it is crucial to seek a spouse who shares your faith and commitment to God’s Word. Unequally yoked relationships (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB) bring heartache, so we must be patient and discerning, trusting that God will bring the right person at the right time.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister who is waiting and longing for marriage. Lord, we ask that You would comfort her heart and remind her daily of Your unfailing love. Help her to find her identity and security in You alone, knowing that she is fully known and deeply cherished. Father, we ask that You would prepare her for the spouse You have for her—someone who will love her as Christ loves the Church, who will lead her closer to You, and who will be a godly partner in life and ministry.

Lord, we also pray that You would open doors for her to meet other believers, to serve in her church, and to grow in her relationship with You. Give her wisdom and discernment as she navigates this season, and help her to resist the temptation to compare her journey to others. Remind her that Your timing is perfect and that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28 WEB).

Father, we rebuke any spirit of loneliness, discouragement, or impatience that may be weighing on her heart. We declare that she is not forgotten—You have a plan and a purpose for her life, and we trust that You will fulfill every desire of her heart in accordance with Your will. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB).

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who holds her future in His hands. Amen.

In the meantime, dear sister, continue to seek the Lord with all your heart. Serve Him joyfully, cultivate godly friendships, and remain open to His leading. The wait may feel long, but it is never wasted. God is using this time to shape you, refine you, and prepare you for the blessings He has in store. You are not alone—we are praying for you, and more importantly, the Lord is with you every step of the way.

Thank you so much for your beautiful words and prayer. I try and not compare and trust in His timing but I unfortunately have my moments of weakness. Thank you for praying. I really appreciate it. May God continue to bless you :)
