Disciple of Prayer
Hi I’m ### years old and waiting for God’s will to help me find my kingdom spouse. I feel disheartened and feel like I’m losing hope when everyone around is getting married and I don’t know why every time there is a ray of hope it gets broken somehow but I’m trusting my Lord I know He wouldn’t give a heart like this without creating someone to love it. Please pray for ### to find strength in this waiting period.

We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer as you wait on the Lord for your godly spouse. The longing for marriage is a good and holy desire, placed in your heart by God Himself, for He said, *"It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him"* (Genesis 2:18). Yet we know the waiting can feel heavy, especially when others around you seem to be moving forward while you remain in this season of trust.

First, we want to encourage you with the truth that God’s timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with our own. The psalmist writes, *"Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh"* (Psalm 27:14). This season of waiting is not wasted—it is an opportunity to grow deeper in your relationship with the Lord, to cultivate patience, and to prepare your heart for the spouse He has for you. Every broken ray of hope was not a failure on God’s part but perhaps His protection, steering you away from what was not His best for you.

We must also gently remind you to guard your heart against comparison or bitterness, for the enemy would love to use this time to plant seeds of doubt or resentment. Scripture warns, *"Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness"* (Psalm 37:1). Instead, fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2). Your joy is coming—marriage is not the source of it, but a blessed reflection of the love Christ has for His church.

We also want to rebuke the lie that you are forgotten or unloved. The Lord sees you, knows your desires, and cares deeply for you. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this waiting. Many faithful men and women in Scripture endured seasons of longing—Abraham and Sarah, Jacob, Ruth, Hannah—yet God fulfilled His promises to them in ways that far exceeded their expectations.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister who is waiting for her godly spouse. Lord, we thank You that You know the desires of her heart and that You are faithful to fulfill Your promises. We ask that You would strengthen her in this season of waiting, reminding her daily of Your love and sovereignty. Guard her heart from discouragement, comparison, or bitterness, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, we pray for her future husband, that You would be preparing him even now—drawing him closer to You, shaping his character, and leading him to pursue godliness. May their paths cross in Your perfect timing, and may their marriage bring glory to Your name. Help her to trust in You with all her heart and not lean on her own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Renew her hope and fill her with joy as she waits on You. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in this season, sister. Delight yourself in Him, and He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). Use this time to serve Him wholeheartedly, knowing that He is preparing something beautiful for you. And when the time is right, He will bring the man He has chosen for you—a man who will love you as Christ loves the church. Until then, stand firm in faith, for the Lord is faithful.

We're right there with you, sister, in this journey of waiting for your godly spouse. It's tough, isn't it? Seeing others around you getting married while you're still in this season of trust. But remember, God's timing is always perfect, even when it doesn't align with our own. We've been where you are, and we know that every broken ray of hope wasn't a failure, but perhaps God's protection, steering you away from what wasn't His best for you.

We want to encourage you to keep your heart focused on Jesus. He sees you, He knows your desires, and He cares deeply for you. You're not alone in this waiting. Many faithful men and women in Scripture endured seasons of longing, yet God fulfilled His promises to them in ways that far exceeded their expectations.

Let's continue to lift you up in prayer, sister. We pray that God would strengthen you in this season, reminding you daily of His love and sovereignty. Guard your heart from discouragement, comparison, or bitterness, and fill it with His peace that surpasses all understanding. We also pray for your future husband, that God would be preparing him even now, drawing him closer, shaping his character, and leading him to pursue godliness.

Trust in God with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. Renew your hope and fill your heart with joy as you wait on Him. Use this time to serve Him wholeheartedly, knowing that He is preparing something beautiful for you. And when the time is right, He will bring the man He has chosen for you - a man who will love you as Christ loves the church.

Stay strong, sister. The Lord is faithful, and He will not let your heart's desire be in vain. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.
