Marriage

Disciple of Prayer
I need prayers for my family with my son's father. He left us and now I need to find a place to live and on top of that my car broke down and it's going to cost a lot to fix it.

We lift you up in this time of deep trial, knowing that the Lord sees your struggles and cares for every detail of your life. The pain of abandonment, the weight of providing for your son, and the burden of these unexpected expenses must feel overwhelming—but we want to remind you that our God is the Father to the fatherless and the Provider for those who trust in Him. He has not forgotten you, and He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

First, we must address the brokenness of your family situation. Marriage is a covenant before God, and when it is broken by abandonment, it brings heartache not only to the spouses but also to the children. The Word of God is clear about the responsibilities of a husband and father: *"But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever"* (1 Timothy 5:8, WEB). The father of your son has a God-given duty to care for his family, and his departure is a grievous violation of that sacred trust. We pray that the Lord would convict his heart, bringing him to repentance and restoration—or, if that is not God’s will, that the Lord would provide for you and your son in ways that exceed what you can imagine.

At the same time, we urge you to examine your own heart before the Lord. Have you forgiven this man for what he has done? Unforgiveness can become a heavy chain that hinders your walk with Christ and your ability to move forward in faith. Jesus tells us, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses"* (Matthew 6:14-15, WEB). This doesn’t mean what he did was right or that trust should be restored without true repentance, but it does mean releasing the bitterness to the Lord, who judges righteously.

As for your practical needs—housing and transportation—we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10). He is not unaware of your circumstances. The Bible assures us, *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Have you sought wisdom and help from your local church? The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and often, the Lord provides through His people. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to reach out to your pastor or a trusted believer who can offer support, whether through prayer, counsel, or practical assistance.

We also want to gently ask: Is Jesus Christ the center of your life and your hope in this season? You didn’t mention His name in your request, and we want to remind you that there is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the throne of God. *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. He is the only One who can bring true peace, healing, and provision. *"That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation"* (Romans 10:9-10, WEB). If you have already placed your faith in Christ, then cling to Him now more than ever. He is your strength, your shield, and your very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this precious sister who is carrying such heavy burdens. Lord, You see her heartache over the abandonment of her son’s father, the fear of providing a home, and the stress of her broken-down car. We ask that You would be her Provider, her Protector, and her Peace. Father, if it is Your will, soften the heart of this man and bring him to repentance for abandoning his family. Let him fulfill his God-given role as a father, or if that is not Your plan, Lord, provide for this mother and her son in ways that leave no doubt it was Your hand at work.

Lord, we ask for divine connections—open doors for housing that are safe, affordable, and in a place where You want them to be. Provide the funds or the help needed to repair her car, or if that is not Your way, give her wisdom and favor in finding reliable transportation. Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm her. Fill her instead with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind her that You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and that You will never leave her nor forsake her.

We pray too for her son, Lord. Shield his heart from the pain of this broken family. Let him know Your love as a Father who will never abandon him. Raise up godly men in his life to be examples of Your faithfulness.

Finally, Father, if this sister does not know You as her Savior, we pray that today would be the day she surrenders her life to Jesus Christ. Let her see that He alone is her hope, her salvation, and her strength. And if she does know You, Lord, deepen her trust in You through this trial. Let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness, that others may see and glorify Your name.

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're here for you, sister. We know the weight of abandonment, the fear of uncertainty, and the anxiety of unexpected expenses. But remember, our God is a God who sees, who cares, and who provides. He's seen your tears, heard your prayers, and He's not forgotten you.

We're standing with you in faith, believing that God will make a way for you and your son. We trust that He will provide a safe, affordable home for you, and a reliable means of transportation. We claim His promise in Philippians 4:6-7, that He will guard your heart and mind with His peace as you bring your needs to Him in prayer.

We also want to encourage you to forgive, as much for your own healing as for the other person. Unforgiveness can be a heavy burden, but Jesus tells us that if we forgive others, our Father in heaven will forgive us. It doesn't mean what happened was right, or that trust should be restored without true repentance, but it means releasing the bitterness to the Lord, who judges righteously.

Lastly, we want to remind you that Jesus is our only hope in times like these. He's the only one who can truly heal, provide, and give peace. If you haven't already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Him. He's waiting with open arms.

We're praying for you, sister. We're asking God to be your Provider, your Protector, and your Peace. We're asking Him to soften hearts, open doors, and fill you with His peace. We're asking all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your family before the Lord in prayer these past few days. Our hearts have been burdened for you as we’ve interceded for restoration in your marriage, provision for housing, and wisdom in handling the unexpected car repairs. We know this season has been overwhelming, carrying the weight of so many challenges at once, but we are grateful you didn’t carry it alone—you invited us to stand with you in faith before our Heavenly Father.

If God has begun to move in your situation—whether through reconciliation, a new place to live, financial breakthrough, or even just a renewed sense of His peace—we would love to rejoice with you. Please share a praise report so we can give Him glory together. If the road ahead still feels uncertain or the burdens remain heavy, we want you to know we’re still here, ready to keep praying with you. Don’t hesitate to post an update or a new request; we are committed to walking with you through this, trusting God’s timing and His perfect plan for you and your son.

We’re praying specifically that God will be your Provider, just as He was for the Israelites in the wilderness, supplying manna each day and leading them step by step. May He open doors no one can shut, bring healing where there is brokenness, and surround you with His presence so tangibly that you sense His nearness even in the waiting. You are not forgotten—by Him or by us.

May the Lord strengthen your heart as you seek Him, clinging to the promise that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him. We’re standing with you in faith, believing for His breakthrough in your marriage, your housing, and every financial need. Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.

In Jesus’ Name.
