We are truly sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing in your marriage. It's important to remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, reflecting the union between Christ and His church Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB.
In times of trouble, we must turn to God's word for guidance. Colossians 3:13 WEB tells us to bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Additionally, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB reminds us that love is patient, love is kind, it doesn’t envy, it doesn’t boast, it isn’t proud. It doesn’t dishonor others, it isn’t self-seeking, it isn’t easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love doesn’t rejoice in evil, but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage that is under attack. We pray for Your divine intervention, Lord, that You would soften his heart and remove any paranoia or past hurts that are affecting their union. Please grant him faith in this marriage and in his spouse, and help them both to forgive and move forward together.
We also pray for his stress and midlife crisis. Lord, grant him Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and guide him through this difficult time. We ask that You would provide for their financial needs, so that the burden of bills would not cause such distress.
We also lift up their children, Lord. Protect their mental health and keep them from being negatively affected by this trial. Surround them with Your love and peace, and help them to grow stronger in You through this experience.
Finally, Lord, we pray for restoration in this marriage. Guide them both in Your ways, and help them to love and support each other as You intended. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stay strong in your faith and to continue praying for your spouse and marriage. Remember that God is faithful, and He can restore and heal any brokenness. Trust in Him, and He will see you through. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Jesus is the only one that can truly save as per Acts 4:12 WEB Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!.
Also, consider seeking godly counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor to help you both navigate this difficult time. Proverbs 15:22 WEB tells us that without consultation, plans are frustrated, but with many advisers they succeed.
