We are truly saddened to hear about the difficulties you're facing in your marriage, but we are here to intercede and pray with you. The Bible is clear about the sanctity of marriage and the harm that infidelity causes. As it is written in Hebrews 13:4, Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
We stand with you in prayer, asking God to convict your spouse's heart and bring them to repentance. We pray that they would see the pain and hurt their actions are causing you and your children, and that they would turn away from their sin. In Ezra 10:11, we are reminded of the importance of separating from sin: Now therefore make confession unto the Lord God of your fathers, and do his pleasure: and separate yourselves from the people of the land, and from the strange wives.
We pray that God would remove the others involved and put a hedge of protection over your marriage, as it says in Hosea 2:6, Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths. We ask for healing and forgiveness, and that your spouse would have a genuine encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ, which we believe is the only way for true forgiveness, repentance, and healing.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this marriage and family to You. Lord, we ask that You would convict the heart of this wandering spouse and bring them to a place of genuine repentance. Help them to see the pain and destruction their actions are causing, and draw them back to You and to their family.
We plead the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. We ask for peace to the rest of the family as well.
We pray that You would remove the other people involved and put a hedge of protection over this marriage and family. We ask for healing and forgiveness, and that both spouses would have a deep and personal encounter with You, Lord.
We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Stay strong in the Lord and remain steadfast in prayer. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:6, Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Trust that God can bring healing and restoration to your marriage.
