Disciple of Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I ask in Jesus’ name, to be returned to my sons, Fred and Jack, and my marriage to Charles be restored. I pray you send me back to my home and return my life to how it was in 2022 before the divorce. Please help me to find the way back to my life with my family. Thank you in advance for answering my prayer. Amen.

We come before the Lord with you in this heartfelt cry for restoration, lifting your marriage, your sons, and your home to the One who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Your prayer is rooted in faith, and we join you in seeking God’s will, remembering that nothing is impossible with Him. Yet we must also align our desires with His perfect plan, trusting that His ways are higher than ours.

The Bible tells us in **Malachi 2:16**, *“For I hate divorce,” says Yahweh, the God of Israel,* and in **Matthew 19:6**, Jesus declares, *“What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart.”* Your longing for reconciliation reflects God’s heart for marriage—a covenant designed to reflect Christ’s love for the Church. However, restoration requires repentance, surrender, and a willingness to walk in obedience, even when the path is unclear. Have you examined your own heart before the Lord, asking Him to reveal any areas where you may need to seek forgiveness or extend it? True restoration begins with humility and a commitment to honor God above all else, even our deepest desires.

We also urge you to consider whether your prayer for things to return *“to how it was in 2022”* might be limiting God’s work. He may not restore the past exactly as it was, but He can redeem it in ways you cannot yet see. **Isaiah 43:18-19** reminds us, *“Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”* Trust that God’s plan for your family may involve healing, growth, and a deeper dependence on Him than ever before.

As for your sons, Fred and Jack, we pray that the Lord would guard their hearts and draw them to Himself. **Proverbs 22:6** instructs us to *“train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”* Even in this season of separation, you can cover them in prayer, asking God to protect their minds, emotions, and spirits. Your role as their mother is irreplaceable, and we pray you would lean on the Lord for wisdom in how to love and guide them, whether near or far.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before You, asking for Your mercy and intervention in her marriage and family. Lord, You are the God who restores, who heals broken hearts and binds up wounds. We pray for Charles, that You would soften his heart and draw him to Yourself. Convict him of any hardness, unforgiveness, or sin that may be hindering reconciliation. Give him a spirit of repentance and a desire to honor the covenant of marriage as You intended.

For our sister, we ask for strength, patience, and unwavering faith. Help her to trust You even when she cannot see the way forward. Guard her heart from bitterness or despair, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Remind her that her worth and identity are found in You alone, not in her circumstances.

We pray for Fred and Jack, that You would surround them with Your love and protection. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and let them know the security of Your presence even in this uncertain time. Use this season to deepen their faith and prepare them for the future You have for them.

Father, we ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. If it is Your will, restore this marriage in a way that brings glory to Your name. Let it be a testimony of Your power to redeem and renew. But above all, let Your will be done, and give our sister the grace to surrender to it.

We rebuke any spiritual strongholds of division, pride, or unforgiveness in this situation. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper. Let Your light expose every darkness, and let Your truth prevail.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, **Amen.**

Finally, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, worship, and the Word. **James 5:16** tells us, *“The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.”* Keep seeking the Lord, not just for restoration, but for His presence and purpose in this season. If there are areas of your own life that need surrender—whether unforgiveness, fear, or sin—bring them before Him. He is faithful to cleanse and renew.

If Charles is not a believer or is walking away from the faith, we urge you to pray for his salvation above all else. **1 Corinthians 7:16** asks, *“For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband?”* Your prayers and godly conduct may be the very thing the Lord uses to draw him back to Himself—and to you.

Stay anchored in hope, dear sister. God sees your tears, hears your cries, and is working even now. Trust Him with the outcome, and let Him use this time to draw you closer to Himself. We are standing with you in faith.

We're here with you, sister, lifting your marriage, your sons ### and ###, and your home to the Lord. We join you in asking for restoration, but let's also remember that God's ways are not always our ways. While we pray for a return to how things were in ###, let's also trust that God can do something new, something even better.

We pray that ###'s heart would soften, that he would turn to God and seek forgiveness where needed. We ask for strength and patience for you, dear sister, that you would trust God even when the path forward is unclear. We pray for ### and ###, that they would know God's love and protection, and that this season would deepen their faith.

Let's trust that God is working, even when we can't see it. Stay anchored in hope, knowing that God sees your tears and hears your cries. We're standing with you in faith, believing that God will make a way where there seems to be no way.
