Disciple of Prayer
Dear Prayer Team, I'm reaching out to ask for your urgent prayer support for my family. My marriage is in crisis, and I believe in the power of collective prayer to bring about restoration and healing. My husband has been struggling with heavy alcohol use and has been unfaithful to me since the beginning of this year. This has caused immense pain and is threatening to tear our family apart. Please join me in praying for:

* My husband: Pray for his deliverance from alcohol addiction and for a change of heart. Ask that he would turn away from his sin and be convicted to return to me and our children.

* Myself: Pray for my strength, comfort, and peace during this incredibly difficult time. Ask that God would heal my broken heart and give me the grace to forgive.

* Our marriage: Pray for a complete restoration of our covenant. I believe God can mend what is broken and rebuild our relationship on a foundation of faith, trust, and renewed love.

Thank you for standing with me in prayer for my family. I trust that God hears our prayers and is working for our good. In His Grace, ###.

We come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up your marriage and family in this time of deep crisis, knowing that our God is a God of restoration, redemption, and miracles. Your heartache is seen by Him, and He is not distant from your pain. The enemy has sought to destroy what God has joined together, but we declare that no weapon formed against your marriage will prosper, for the Lord Almighty is your defender and healer.

The struggles your husband faces—alcoholism and infidelity—are grave sins that wound not only your heart but also grieve the Holy Spirit. The Scriptures are clear: *"Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, WEB). Yet, we also know that *"such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God"* (1 Corinthians 6:11, WEB). There is hope for your husband, not because of his own strength, but because of the transforming power of Jesus Christ. We pray that the Lord would break the chains of addiction in his life and convict him deeply of his sin. May he turn from his wicked ways with godly sorrow, repenting before the Lord and seeking forgiveness from you and your children. *"Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors your ways. Sinners shall be converted to you"* (Psalm 51:12-13, WEB).

For you, dear sister, we ask the Lord to be your strength and your shield in this storm. The betrayal and pain you are enduring are immense, but the Lord is near to the brokenhearted. *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"* (Matthew 11:28-30, WEB). We pray that God would heal your wounded heart and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding. Forgiveness is a journey, and it is only possible through the grace of God. Ask Him to help you release the bitterness and anger, not for your husband’s sake alone, but for your own freedom in Christ. *"Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:32, WEB).

As for your marriage, we stand on the promise that what God has joined together, no man—or sin—can separate without consequence. Your marriage covenant is sacred, and the Lord desires its restoration. *"Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate"* (Mark 10:9, WEB). We pray that the Lord would rebuild the trust that has been broken, renew the love that has grown cold, and restore the faith that has been shaken. May He give you both the humility to seek His face together, to repent where necessary, and to walk in obedience to His Word. *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain"* (Psalm 127:1, WEB). This restoration must be rooted in Christ, or it will not last. Seek Him first, and all these things will be added to you as He wills.

We also urge you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. You do not have to walk this path alone. *"Where no counsel is, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety"* (Proverbs 11:14, WEB). Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable to walk in forgiveness and wisdom. If your husband is unwilling to repent, you must still honor the Lord in your responses, but you are not called to endure abuse or persistent unrepentant sin. *"If any man comes to me, and doesn’t disregard his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he can’t be my disciple"* (Luke 14:26, WEB). While this verse speaks to the cost of discipleship, it also reminds us that our ultimate loyalty must be to Christ, even when it requires difficult decisions for the sake of holiness and safety.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious sister and her marriage. Lord, You see the brokenness, the pain, and the sin that has invaded this home. We ask that You would move mightily in the heart of her husband. Break the chains of alcoholism that bind him, Lord. Convict him deeply of his infidelity and lead him to true repentance. Soften his heart toward You and toward his wife and children. Draw him back to the foot of the cross, where he can find forgiveness and the strength to walk in righteousness.

Father, we ask that You would surround this wife with Your comfort and peace. Heal her broken heart and restore her joy. Give her the grace to forgive as You have forgiven her. Strengthen her faith and help her to trust in Your promises, even when the road ahead seems uncertain. Lord, we pray for the restoration of this marriage. Mend what is broken, rebuild what has been torn down, and renew the love and commitment that once bound them together. Let this restoration be a testimony to Your faithfulness and power.

We rebuked the enemy’s schemes against this family. Satan, you have no authority here. The blood of Jesus covers this marriage, and we declare that this home will be restored for God’s glory. Lord, we ask that You would provide godly counsel and support for this family. Lead them to a community of believers who can walk alongside them in this journey.

Finally, Father, we thank You that You are a God who redeems and restores. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified in this situation. We pray all these things in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, sister. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Keep seeking Him, keep praying, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9, WEB). May He bring repentance and restoration to your husband and healing to your heart. We are standing with you in prayer.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting your marriage and family before the Lord these past days. Our hearts have been burdened alongside yours, and we’ve continued to intercede for the complete restoration of your home, the deliverance of your husband, and the healing of your heart. The enemy has sought to bring destruction, but we stand firm in the truth that our God is a Redeemer of broken things, a Healer of wounded hearts, and a Restorer of what was lost.

We earnestly pray you’ve felt the Lord’s presence carrying you through this storm, even in moments when the weight felt unbearable. If He has begun to move in your husband’s heart—whether through conviction, a step toward sobriety, or a softened spirit—we praise God for every glimmer of hope. If doors have opened for reconciliation or if you’ve experienced even a measure of His peace amid the pain, we’d love for you to share that testimony with us. Your praise would fuel our faith and remind us all that He is still in the business of miracles.

Yet if the battle rages on and the answers you’re longing for haven’t come, please don’t carry this alone. Post your request again, and let us continue to storm heaven on your behalf. We will not grow weary in praying for your husband’s chains to be broken, for his eyes to be opened to the devastation of his choices, and for him to return to you and your children with a repentant and transformed heart. We’ll keep asking the Lord to strengthen you with His might, to guard your mind from despair, and to flood you with His love when forgiveness feels impossible.

Sister, we know the wait is agonizing, but we serve a God who sees your tears, who collects them in His bottle, and who is working even now in ways unseen. Cling to Him. Let His Word be your anchor when the waves threaten to overwhelm you. We’re here, standing with you, believing with you, and trusting that the One who began this good work in your family will be faithful to complete it.

Keep seeking Him. Keep hoping in Him. And know that you are *not* forgotten—by us or by your Heavenly Father. We’re praying for you even now. In Jesus’ mighty and restoring name.
