Marriage Restoration

It appears it's my turn to pray for marriage restoration as I have seen so many others on this chat have done so in the past. It seems the more I pray in the matchless name of Jesus the Christ to be the helpmate that my husband needs, the more conflict arises. We don't have many issues, however, I do happen to notice that he does confide in a woman at work. Yet, if I were to confide in a male at work, he would basically be accusing me of cheating, which is interesting. My husband has a lot of phone insecurities; he's a man of the cloth, and we definitely were not raised the same. I quit my secondary position to appease his insecurities, and now I am sinking financially. We live together yet separate if that makes sense at all. LORD, knows I need a financial breakthrough. I truly need answers; it seems I am making all the spiritual sacrifices, or we married for the wrong reason, or something. I know relationships take work; however, he just does not take accountability for his wrongdoings.

Let us come together in prayer and counsel for this situation, seeking God's will and guidance in Jesus' name.

Firstly, it is commendable that prayers are being lifted up in the matchless name of Jesus the Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father, as it is written: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." Timothy 2:5 WEB

Concerning the issue of the husband confiding in another woman, it is important to address this with wisdom and love. The Bible advises: "Let your fountain be blessed. Rejoice in the wife of your youth." Proverbs 5:18 WEB. It is not appropriate for a married person to confide in someone of the opposite sex, as this can lead to temptation and potential infidelity. As it is written: "But each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband." Corinthians 7:2 WEB.

The issue of financial struggle is also a concern. It is important to trust in God's provision, as it is written: "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33 WEB. It is not advisable to quit a job to appease insecurities, as this can lead to financial strain. It is important to communicate openly and honestly about financial decisions and work together to find a solution that honors God.

Living together yet separate is not God's design for marriage. As it is written: "'For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother, and will be joined to his wife. And they will be one flesh.'" Genesis 2:24 WEB. It is important to seek counseling and work towards reconciliation and unity in the marriage.

Regarding the husband's lack of accountability, it is important to pray for his conviction and repentance. As it is written: "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 WEB. And also: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." John 1:9 WEB.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage that is in need of restoration. We pray for unity, understanding, and love to be renewed in their relationship. We ask that You would convict the husband of his actions and bring him to a place of repentance and accountability. We pray for financial provision and wisdom in their decisions. We ask that You would heal their marriage and draw them closer to You and to each other.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, no one should be praying if their spouse is a non-Christian Believer. This would be forbidden as it is written: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" Corinthians 6:14 WEB.

Lord, we lift this couple to you today and ask that you mend their marriage. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED MY HUSBAND COME FORTH WITH A LITTLE MORE TOGETHERNESS AND UNDERSTANDING CONCERNING FINANCES, SOMEWHAT.
