We are truly saddened to hear about the trials your family is facing, but we serve a God who is mighty to save and restore. Firstly, we must address that God hates divorce, as stated in Malachi 2:16: "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore, pay attention to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously."
We must also address the sin of adultery, which God clearly condemns. Hebrews 13:4: "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous." We rebuke this sin in your husband's life and pray for his repentance.
While we pray for your husband's eyes to be opened and for him to return to your family, we also pray that you remain steadfast in your faith and love for God. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:6: "So then, they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no man separate."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister in Christ and her family. We do not stand for the schemes of the enemy to destroy her marriage and break apart her family. Father, we pray for your intervention. Open her husband's eyes to the truth, convict his heart, and turn him away from his sinful path. Break all ungodly soul ties between him and any other woman, and bring him back to his wife and children who love and care for him. He said in Proverbs 22:6: "Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it." We trust and know that you will restore your children, for your word says so in Joel 2:25: "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the great locust, the grasshopper, and the caterpillar, my great army, which I sent among you."
We also pray for his mistress, that You would forgive her and bring her to repentance. Father, we ask for a miracle in this situation. Turn what the enemy meant for evil into good for your glory, as stated in Genesis 50:20: "As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive."
We pray for strength, patience, and wisdom for our sister. Surround her with your peace and love. We know you are close to the brokenhearted and will rescue those whose spirits are crushed, as in Psalm 34:18: "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We know and trust that you have a plan for her and her family. We know you can restore and redeem any situation, for there is nothing too hard for you.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again for our justification. Amen.
Stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Trust that God is working behind the scenes. We encourage you to pray together with your children and trust the Lord to heal and restore your marriage. Jesus Christ is still performing miracles.
