Disciple of Prayer
Good Morning prayers for Continued Spiritual Growth during Challenging times in my marriage Satan is using this time as it seems every year during October or November my husband has an extremely difficult time for some reason and I fall prey to allowing his difficulties becoming a catalyst of my emotions. I need to become more disciplined in my focus and stay Spiritually focused no matter what either one of us are going through during this stage of life and recognize this is a perfect example to a distraction to attempt me from growing in the word of GOD. I love my husband no if and or buts and I cannot force him to act the way I want him to however he has to understand I am not here for him to change me nor am I his suspect if we continue on this path of him not trusting me and confiding in others I don’t know where we will be on the next three to five years it seems we will just exist. I find myself now admiring other couples relations that are able to communicate through difficult circumstances because my husband deflects opposed to ownership then says I never tell him anything at this point I am not comfortable speaking with a man who passes judgment and speaks to his coworker about what goes on in our marriage please pray for us both to understand one another in Jesus Holy name because all he see is self never my point of view I’m extremely exhausted at this point and have not clue where we will be in three to five years LORD HELP US BOTH IN JESUS NAME HAVE YOUR WAY.

We come before the Father in agreement with you, lifting up your marriage and your spiritual growth during this challenging season. It is clear that the enemy seeks to exploit this recurring time of difficulty, but we know that our God is greater, and He has already equipped you with everything you need to stand firm in faith. The Word tells us in **1 Peter 5:8-9**, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings."* You are not alone in this battle, and the Lord will strengthen you as you lean on Him.

Your love for your husband is evident, and we commend you for recognizing that you cannot force change upon him—that is the work of the Holy Spirit. However, we must also address the deep wounds in your marriage, particularly the lack of trust, communication, and the destructive pattern of your husband confiding in others rather than in you, his wife. **Proverbs 31:11-12** reminds us that *"The heart of her husband trusts in her. She will do him good, and not harm, all the days of her life."* A marriage cannot thrive where trust is broken and where outside voices are given precedence over the covenant bond between husband and wife. This is not God’s design. **Ephesians 5:31** declares, *"For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh."* When a husband turns to coworkers or others instead of his wife, it fractures the oneness God intends. This must be rebuked in prayer, and we must ask the Lord to convict your husband’s heart to return to the safety and sanctity of your marriage.

We also sense your exhaustion and the weight of carrying this burden, but we encourage you to cast these cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (**1 Peter 5:7**). You cannot control your husband’s actions, but you *can* control your response. Instead of admiring other couples, which can lead to comparison and further discouragement, we urge you to fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (**Hebrews 12:2**). Your focus must remain on growing in the Word, standing in prayer, and trusting God to move in your husband’s heart. **Colossians 3:18-19** instructs, *"Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them."* This is a two-way street—submission is not a call to endure abuse or neglect, but a call to honor God in your role while trusting Him to work in your husband’s heart to love you as Christ loves the church.

Now, let us pray together for you both:

Heavenly Father, we lift this sister and her marriage before Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the brokenness, the mistrust, and the weariness that has settled in their hearts. We ask You to intervene mightily in Jesus’ name. Break the enemy’s stronghold over this recurring season of attack. Expose every scheme of the devil and render his plans powerless. Lord, we pray for a supernatural restoration of trust and communication between this husband and wife. Convict his heart, Father, to turn away from confiding in others and to return to his wife as his closest confidant. Soften his spirit to hear her, to value her perspective, and to lead with love, patience, and humility.

Strengthen our sister in her walk with You. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**). Give her the discipline to remain spiritually focused, even when emotions threaten to overwhelm her. Remind her that her identity is in You, not in her husband’s approval or actions. Help her to speak life and truth into her marriage, even when it feels like her words fall on deaf ears.

Lord, we declare that this marriage will not merely "exist" but will thrive in You. Bring healing to the wounds, unity to their hearts, and a renewed commitment to Your design for their union. Let them be a testimony of Your restoring power. We ask for divine wisdom for both of them, that they would seek You first and submit to Your will in every area of their lives.

Finally, Father, we rebuke the spirit of division, distraction, and despair in Jesus’ name. Let Your light expose every darkness, and let Your love bind them together in ways they’ve never experienced before. We trust You for a miracle, Lord. Let Your will be done in their lives, for Your glory.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm, sister. Do not lose heart. The Lord is working, even when you cannot see it. Keep praying, keep seeking Him, and trust that He who began a good work in you—and in your marriage—will be faithful to complete it (**Philippians 1:6**). If your husband is unwilling to seek counseling or spiritual guidance, we encourage you to pursue it for yourself. A godly counselor or pastor can provide biblical wisdom and support as you navigate this season. And remember, your ultimate hope is not in a restored marriage alone, but in Christ Himself. He is your strength, your refuge, and your ever-present help in trouble (**Psalm 46:1**). Stay rooted in Him.

We're right here with you, sister. We feel your exhaustion and the weight of this recurring challenge. It's like an annual storm that threatens to drown out the light in your marriage. But remember, even the darkest night will give way to dawn. The Lord sees you, He hears you, and He is working in your marriage, even if you can't see it yet.

We want to encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. He is the author and perfecter of your faith, and He will give you the strength to endure this trial. Keep growing in the Word, keep standing in prayer, and trust that God is moving in your husband's heart, even if it seems slow or imperceptible.

We also want to remind you that you are not alone. You have a community of believers praying for you, and you have the Holy Spirit interceding on your behalf. Trust that God is using this trial to refine you, to deepen your faith, and to draw you closer to Him.

And remember, your husband needs grace too. He's not doing this on purpose to hurt you. He's a man going through his own struggles, and he needs the love and patience that only you can give him. Keep praying for him, keep loving him, and keep trusting that God is working in his heart as well.

We're claiming 2 Corinthians 12:9 over you today, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Trust that God's grace is enough to see you through this trial. And when you feel weak, remember that His power is made perfect in that weakness.

Keep fighting the good fight, sister. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Trust in Him, and trust in the process. He's got this.

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting you and your marriage before the Lord these past few days. Your heart for spiritual growth—even in the midst of such deep weariness and struggle—has moved us, and we’ve been praying earnestly that God would renew your strength, guard your mind, and restore the trust and communication between you and your husband.

The enemy’s pattern of attack during this season is not lost on us, and we’ve been asking the Lord to expose every scheme meant to distract you from His truth. Your desire to remain steadfast in the Word, despite the emotional toll, is a testament to your faith, and we believe God is at work—even when it’s hard to see. We’ve prayed specifically for your husband’s heart to soften, for his eyes to be opened to the ways his actions may be wounding you, and for both of you to find the courage to break the cycle of defensiveness and misunderstanding. True unity in Christ begins with humility, and we’re trusting God to cultivate that in both of your hearts.

If the Lord has begun to move in your marriage—whether through small steps of reconciliation, a renewed sense of peace, or even just the strength to keep pressing forward—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be the very encouragement someone else needs to keep praying for their own marriage. But if this season still feels heavy and unresolved, please don’t hesitate to post again. We’re here to stand with you for the long haul, believing that God is not done writing your story.

May the Lord fill you with His supernatural peace as you wait on Him, and may He remind you daily that your worth and identity are found in Christ alone—not in your husband’s responses or the state of your marriage. Keep seeking Him first, sister, and trust that He is faithful to complete the work He’s begun in you both.

We’re continuing to pray for you in Jesus’ name.
