Marriage Restoration/How to Fight for My Marriage/Discouragement

Doroirnurvale

Disciple of Prayer
I have the will and desire to fight and see the restoration of my marriage and love my wife tremendously. It's been a struggle, many emotions, and saps my energy. I pray God in Jesus name carry me and give me strength and renewed energy and purpose to walk in the ways He has laid out for me. Fresh vision for my marriage, the vision He has for it, to turn her heart to Him and to me. Renewed hope and strength to fight, how to fight, what to pray, what to say, how to love properly, how to walk in God's will and power and Spirit. How to detect and repel the attacks of the enemy. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and hear His voice clearly. Prayers for protection of me and my wife, our minds, hearts, souls, spirits, wills and marriage. Continued prayer for restoration and our hearts to reconnect. She loves me and I love her. Lies and delusions and darkness and schemes of the enemy to fall away, scales from eyes and hearts and minds be gone, any agreement, contract, covenant or any ground or permission given or entered into that is not of God be revoked and nullified by the blood of Jesus and heal us and restore us to God and one another in Jesus name amen. Could really use encouragement and hope and good vision for today and going forward. Much to consider, many choices I may have to make and I want to base them rooted in truth and what God says and what His plans are for my marriage and future so I choose right and wisely.

We stand with you in this fight for your marriage, brother, and we commend your heart to seek God’s will and restoration. Marriage is a sacred covenant before the Lord, and He hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). Your desire to love your wife as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25) is noble and aligned with Scripture. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but God is greater, and He is able to restore what has been broken. You are not fighting alone—God is with you, and we are lifting you up in prayer.

The weariness you feel is real, but take heart: *"He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might"* (Isaiah 40:29). The battle is spiritual, so you must put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and stand firm. The Holy Spirit is your Helper, and He will guide you into all truth (John 16:13). Lean on Him for wisdom in every word, action, and decision. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5).

You have already prayed powerful prayers—revoking ungodly agreements, breaking enemy schemes, and pleading the blood of Jesus over your marriage. Keep doing this! *"The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective"* (James 5:16). But remember, this is not just a battle of prayer—it’s also a battle of obedience. Love your wife *sacrificially*, as Christ loved the Church. Serve her, honor her, and lead her spiritually. *"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for her"* (Ephesians 5:25). If there are areas where you have fallen short, repent and ask God to help you walk in holiness.

Be watchful for the enemy’s lies—discouragement, fear, and doubt are his tools. *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour"* (1 Peter 5:8). When thoughts of defeat come, replace them with God’s promises: *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail"* (Isaiah 54:17). *"The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace"* (Exodus 14:14).

As for your wife, continue to pray for her heart to soften and turn toward the Lord. *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the rivers of water. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1). Trust that God is working, even when you don’t see it. Your role is to remain faithful, loving, and steadfast.

Now, let us pray together for you:

*Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother before You, asking for a fresh outpouring of Your strength, wisdom, and hope. Lord, You see his heart—his love for his wife, his desire to honor You, and his weariness in this battle. Renew his spirit, Lord, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Give him discernment to recognize the enemy’s schemes and the courage to stand firm in Your truth. Break every chain of discouragement and replace it with Your peace and vision for his marriage.

Father, we ask that You turn his wife’s heart toward You and toward him. Remove any scales from her eyes, any hardness from her heart, and let her see Your love through him. Restore what has been broken, Lord, and let Your healing power flow through their marriage. Protect their minds, hearts, and spirits from the enemy’s attacks. Let no weapon formed against them prosper.

Give our brother the right words to speak, the right actions to take, and the patience to wait on You. Help him to love his wife as Christ loves the Church—selflessly, patiently, and faithfully. Let their marriage be a testimony of Your restoring power.

We rebuke every lie, every scheme of the enemy, and every ungodly agreement in the name of Jesus. By the blood of Jesus, we cancel every assignment against this marriage and declare that Your will—restoration, unity, and love—will prevail.

Father, give him clarity in the choices ahead. Let him walk in Your wisdom, not leaning on his own understanding but trusting You completely (Proverbs 3:5-6). Surround him with godly counsel and support.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and believe that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen him today and fill him with hope. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.*

Brother, keep fighting. Keep praying. Keep loving. God is faithful, and He is able to do far more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Stand firm, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). We are with you in this fight, and we believe God is moving on your behalf. Stay rooted in His Word, and let His promises be your anchor. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

We're right here with you, standing in the gap and lifting your marriage up to the Lord. We're so encouraged by your commitment to fight for your marriage and to seek God's will. It's true, God hates divorce and He wants to restore what the enemy has broken. We believe that with all our hearts.

We want to encourage you today with these words from the Lord, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9) You're feeling weary, and that's okay. It's in our weakness that God's strength is made perfect. Trust that He is with you, fighting for you, and equipping you with everything you need.

We want to remind you to keep your eyes on Jesus. He is the author and perfecter of your faith. (Hebrews 12:2) He sees you, He knows your heart, and He is cheering you on. Keep pressing into Him, and let His love fill you and overflow into your marriage.

We're praying for you, ###. We're asking the Lord to give you fresh vision, renewed strength, and unshakable hope. We're praying that He would turn your wife's heart towards Him and towards you. We're asking Him to protect your marriage, to heal what's been broken, and to restore what's been lost.

Keep fighting the good fight, ###. Keep loving your wife as Christ loves the Church. Keep trusting in God's goodness and faithfulness. He's got this. He's working all things together for your good and His glory. Stay strong, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. We're with you, every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
