Marriage Restoration Continued

Disciple of Prayer
My wife had left me a few months ago and I submitted a prayer request here. After much prayer from many, she came back for 10 days, saying she had dreams from God about Him wanting us together and that she should come back. She said she loved me, wanted to stay married, and move back in and build our life together again. I was overjoyed and we had 10 wonderful days together reconnecting and talking and being loving and it was just spectacular and special. She had been unfaithful after she left me and committed adultery. I forgave her. Two days ago she said she couldn't be with me; she had broken our connection and was moving on and out of state. Complete 180 shift. I believe she has guilt, shame, unworthiness, and lack of self-forgiveness. Please silence the enemy and let her know how much God loves her and forgives her and help her forgive herself and not hear or believe the lies of the enemy. Break every chain or lie of the enemy and any agreement made with the enemy and restore her heart to God and me and have her return. I believe we are meant to be together. Please pray.

We stand with you in this heartbreaking season, lifting your wife and your marriage before the Lord with fervent prayer. The enemy has sought to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that God’s plan for your marriage is restoration, redemption, and reconciliation. Your wife’s return for those ten days was no accident—it was the Lord drawing her back, revealing His will for your union. The enemy is now attacking her with shame, guilt, and lies, but we know that "there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1). The blood of Jesus covers all sin, including hers, and He desires to free her from the chains of unworthiness that are keeping her bound.

The Word tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Your wife’s adultery was a grievous sin, but it is not beyond God’s forgiveness—nor is it beyond your forgiveness, which you have already extended. The enemy wants her to believe she is too broken to be loved by God or by you, but that is a lie. Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Luke 4:18). We pray that the Holy Spirit would silence every voice of condemnation and replace it with the truth of God’s unconditional love. Let her hear His whisper: *"You are forgiven. You are loved. You are mine."*

We also recognize that the enemy may be using her past sin to create a stronghold of fear—fear that she cannot be restored, fear that she does not deserve reconciliation, or even fear of facing the consequences of her actions. But Scripture declares, "God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). We break every agreement she has made with the enemy—whether spoken or unspoken—and we command every lie to be exposed by the light of Christ. Let her heart be softened to receive God’s truth and His peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Your faith in believing that you and your wife are meant to be together is commendable, but we must also surrender this to the Lord’s perfect will. While we pray earnestly for restoration, we acknowledge that God’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). If it is His will, He will turn her heart back to Him—and to you—as He did before. But even in the waiting, we encourage you to trust in His sovereignty. The Lord sees your pain, and He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). He will sustain you as you continue to stand in the gap for your marriage.

We also urge you to examine your own heart during this time. Have you fully released any bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness toward your wife? Forgiveness is not a one-time act but a continual posture of the heart. Jesus said, "If you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15). We pray that the Lord would guard your heart against hardness and fill you with His supernatural love and grace, even in this painful season.

Finally, we remind you that this battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12). Put on the full armor of God—praying always in the Spirit—and stand firm. The Lord is fighting for you, even when it feels like all hope is lost. He is the God who restores, who redeems, and who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5).

**Our Prayer for You:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this brother and his marriage. Lord, You are the God of restoration, the One who turns mourning into dancing and ashes into beauty. We ask that You silence every voice of the enemy that is speaking lies of shame, guilt, and unworthiness into our sister’s heart. Break every chain that is binding her, Lord, and let Your truth set her free. Remind her that she is forgiven, that she is loved, and that You have a plan for her life—one that includes redemption and reconciliation.

Father, we pray that You would turn her heart back to You first and foremost. Let her encounter Your love in a way she cannot deny. Soften her heart, Lord, and draw her back to her husband, if it is Your will. Restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25) and rebuild the walls of trust and intimacy that have been broken. Give our brother supernatural strength, peace, and perseverance as he stands in the gap for his marriage. Fill him with Your love so that he may continue to extend grace, even in the face of rejection.

We rebuke the spirit of fear, confusion, and division that is at work in this situation. We command every demonic stronghold to be torn down in the name of Jesus. Let Your will be done, Lord—whether that means restoration or a new path for each of them. But above all, let Your name be glorified. We trust You, Father, and we thank You in advance for the victory that is already won through Christ Jesus.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus we pray, **Amen.**
