We come before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this marriage and the painful brokenness surrounding it. The enemy has sought to divide what God has joined together, but we know that our God is a God of restoration, redemption, and miracles. The Word of God declares in **Mark 10:9**, *"What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."* This marriage is under attack, but we stand in the gap, trusting that the Lord can break every ungodly influence and restore what has been broken.
First, we must address the spiritual strongholds at work here. The involvement of another woman in this marriage is an abomination before the Lord, a direct violation of His commandments. **Exodus 20:14** says, *"You shall not commit adultery,"* and **Proverbs 6:32** warns, *"He who commits adultery with a woman is lacking in sense. He who does it destroys his own soul."* This sin has brought pain, division, and financial neglect—not just to this marriage but to the children who are suffering the consequences of their father’s choices. We rebuke this spirit of adultery and deception in the name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against it in judgment shall be condemned (**Isaiah 54:17**).
The influence of the in-laws in encouraging and enabling this sin is also grievous. Instead of upholding godly standards, they have become a stumbling block. **Matthew 18:6-7** warns, *"But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him that a huge millstone should be hung around his neck, and that he should be sunk in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of occasions of stumbling! For it must be that the occasions come, but woe to that person through whom the occasion comes!"* We pray that the Lord would open their eyes to the destruction they are causing—not just to this marriage but to their own son and his relationship with God. May conviction fall upon them, leading them to repentance and a turning away from this wickedness.
The financial neglect of the children is another grave injustice. **1 Timothy 5:8** states, *"But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."* A man who fails to provide for his children is in direct rebellion against God’s Word. We pray that the Lord would move mightily in this situation, breaking the spirit of irresponsibility and selfishness that has taken hold. May this husband’s heart be turned back to his family, his wife, and his responsibilities before God.
Now, we pray for this wife who is standing in the gap. Sister, we know this burden is heavy, but you are not alone. The Lord sees your tears, your pain, and your faithfulness. **Psalm 34:18** assures us, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Do not lose heart. Continue to seek the Lord, to pray without ceasing, and to trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. Your husband’s heart is in the Lord’s hands, and He is able to turn it back to you and to righteousness. **Proverbs 21:1** says, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires."* Stand firm in faith, knowing that the battle is the Lord’s.
We also pray for the other woman involved in this sin. Though she may not yet realize the destruction she is part of, we ask that the Lord would convict her heart and lead her to repentance. May she come to see the truth of her actions and turn away from this sin before it brings further ruin to her life. **Ezekiel 18:30** says, *"Therefore I will judge you, house of Israel, everyone according to his ways, says the Lord Yahweh. Return, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin."* May she be set free from the enemy’s lies and find forgiveness in Christ.
Finally, we declare the power of the blood of Jesus over this marriage. Every chain of influence from the in-laws, every spirit of adultery, every stronghold of deception and rebellion—we command it to be broken in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray for a supernatural reconciliation, for hearts to be softened, and for this marriage to be restored stronger than before. **Joel 2:25** promises, *"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the great locust, the grasshopper, and the caterpillar, my great army, which I sent among you."* What the enemy meant for evil, God will turn for good.
Let us pray together:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this marriage that is under attack. Lord, You hate divorce (**Malachi 2:16**), and we ask You to intervene supernaturally in this situation. Break every ungodly soul tie between this husband and the other woman. Expose every hidden sin and bring it into the light. Convict the hearts of the in-laws who have enabled this destruction—let them no longer be a stumbling block but instead become instruments of righteousness.
Father, we pray for this husband. Soften his heart, Lord. Let him see the error of his ways and the pain he has caused. Turn his heart back to his wife and his children. Restore his sense of responsibility and his commitment to You and to his family. Break the spirit of rebellion and adultery that has taken hold of him. Let him be a man after Your own heart, walking in integrity and faithfulness.
Lord, we pray for this wife. Strengthen her, Father. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (**Philippians 4:7**). Let her not grow weary in doing good, for in due season she will reap if she doesn’t give up (**Galatians 6:9**). Surround her with Your love and protection. Provide for her and her children in every way—spiritually, emotionally, and financially.
We bind every spirit of division, deception, and destruction in the name of Jesus. We declare that this marriage will be restored, that what the enemy meant for harm, You will turn for good (**Genesis 50:20**). Let this be a testimony of Your power, Your grace, and Your faithfulness.
Father, we ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to save, restore, and redeem. Amen."*
