Let us lift up our sister in Christ and her husband to the Lord in prayer, seeking His will and intervention for their marriage and the unborn child. We stand in the gap for them, praying for reconciliation, repentance, and restoration.
Firstly, we acknowledge that marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, designed by God to be a lifelong commitment. As it is written in Mark 10:9, What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder. WEB
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister and her husband to You, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Lord, You see the situation they are in, and You desire for them to be reunited in love and harmony.
Father, we pray for our sister, that You would draw her heart back to her husband and to You. Give her a spirit of repentance, and help her to see the importance of her marriage and family. Lord, we also lift up her husband, praying that You would give him a spirit of forgiveness, love, and patience. Help him to be the spiritual leader of his home, and to lead his family in righteousness.
Lord, we know that You hate divorce, as it is written in Malachi 2:16, For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel.
We pray for the unborn child, that You, the Author of life, would protect and bless this precious soul. Give our sister a healthy pregnancy and delivery, and may this child be raised in a loving, godly home.
Father, we pray that You would restore this marriage, and make it stronger than ever before. Give them a spirit of unity, and help them to live in harmony with one another. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage both of them to seek the Lord wholeheartedly, to forgive one another, and to strive for reconciliation. We rebuke any spirit of division, pride, or unforgiveness that may be at work in their lives. Remember, love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:7 WEB.
Lastly, we want to remind them that it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. WEB. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. WEB.
We encourage you to continue praying for them and we leave them with this encouragement:
1 John 5:14-15 WEB
14 This is the confidence which we have towards him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.
15 And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
