Beloved of All
My heart is completely broken. I separated from my husband about a year ago. A relationship was volatile we’ve had a marriage of ### years. I just thought moving out with stop the fighting and make us closer together. He could not accept that even though we were still having a relationship and we were getting closer but he was doing the push pull and finally he just cut me off and now hasn’t really talk to me in two months was refusing to watch our child’s now. He’s finally accepted watching him on a couple weekends no communication we really need to talk. I love him so very much and I want to work on things and I just wanna pray for a miracle that something good happens please I’m having a real hard time living life normally at all I never meant to hurt us, but he’s got a lot of anger in him and I pray please pray.

We hear the deep brokenness in your heart and we grieve with you over this painful separation in your marriage. We know you love your husband very much and you long for restoration, and we join you in praying for a miracle while also seeking what honors God and brings true healing.

God holds marriage as sacred and lifelong, a covenant between a man and a woman that He Himself joins together. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate. Mark 10:9. We also hear that you thought moving out would stop the fighting and bring you closer, but separation rarely heals the root issues of a volatile relationship. To the married I command, not I, but the Lord, that the wife not leave her husband, but if she departs, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband, and that the husband not leave his wife. 1 Corinthians 7:10-11. God’s heart is for reconciliation where possible, not for distance to become the solution. We lovingly correct the idea that living apart while still trying to maintain a marriage relationship will draw you closer, it often creates more confusion, hurt, and a pattern of push and pull that leaves both wounded.

We also must address what you have shared about the fighting, the anger, and the cutting off of communication, including the refusal to care for your child. This does not align with God’s design for a husband and father. Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them. Colossians 3:19. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:31-32. Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath. Ephesians 4:26. A husband is also called to love his wife as Christ loved the church and to nurture his children, not to withdraw from them. We rebuke the anger and the silence that has kept you from talking for two months, and we rebuke the neglect of parental responsibility, even as we understand that weekends have now resumed. You both need safe, honest, and godly communication, and we strongly encourage you to seek biblical counseling together with a trusted pastor or mature Christian counselor who can help you work through the volatility, learn to speak the truth in love, and practice forgiveness.

We know you are having a real hard time living life normally and we want you to know God sees your broken heart. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. We encourage you to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. With God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26, and we believe He can soften a hardened and angry heart and open doors for honest conversation.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and find salvation. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9.

We pray together for you, your husband, and your child.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You with this broken marriage and this hurting heart. Lord, You hate divorce and You love reconciliation, so we ask You to have mercy. Forgive where there has been sin on both sides, heal the wounds caused by harsh words and volatile conflict, and remove the bitterness and anger that has taken root. Soften her husband’s heart, Lord, and take away the push and pull and the silence, and give him a desire to communicate with humility and love and to faithfully embrace his role as husband and father. Help our sister to walk in forgiveness, patience, and wisdom, and to trust You even while she waits. Provide godly counselors and wise support around them, protect their child from further hurt, and make a way for honest, calm, and respectful conversation. We ask for a miracle of restoration if it is Your will, that this marriage would be strengthened and made to honor You, and we ask for Your peace to guard her heart as she learns to live day by day in Your grace. We pray all this in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

We hear how heavy this has been for you, and how much love you still carry for your husband and your family. Wanting space to stop the fighting and hoping it would bring you closer is an understandable hope, and it is painful when distance instead brought more silence and hurt. Trying to live normally while carrying that ache and caring for your child is a lot to hold.

It makes sense that the last two months of little communication have felt especially lonely. When a marriage has been volatile and one or both people feel hurt and angry, the push and pull you described can leave you both exhausted and unsure how to reach each other. It does not mean you have failed, it means there is deep hurt that needs time, care, and wiser ways to talk.

If it would help, we encourage you to lean on one or two steady, trusted people right now, perhaps a pastor or a mature counselor you both respect, who can walk with you individually as you sort through next steps. For communication, keeping notes about your child brief, calm, and in writing can reduce pressure, and when you do hope to talk more deeply, having a trusted third person present can help keep the conversation safe and focused.

Father, we lift this wife, her husband, and their child to You. Bring comfort in this grief, guard and guide them, and give wisdom for each conversation and decision. Where there is anger and hurt, bring healing and self control. Lead them toward what is good and right in Your eyes, and give her strength for each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your sorrow has been heard and your tears are not hidden from the Lord who sees the brokenhearted. To love so deeply and to feel cut off and without communication, especially when a child is involved, is a heavy burden, and it is right that you bring it to the throne of grace.

Marriage is not a mere convenience but a covenant in which the two become one, knit together by mutual love and choice before God. When Scripture says, I am married unto you, it speaks of a bond that is near and holy, where unity is the very essence. To separate in hope of drawing closer often only wounds that unity further, and the push and pull you describe shows how quickly distance can harden into silence and anger. Yet even this painful place is not beyond the mercy of God.

You speak of anger in him and of your own never intending to hurt what God has joined. Hear the prayer of the penitent, Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness, according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. That prayer belongs to each of us, for we all need great mercy, unmeasured mercy, undeserved mercy. The same Lord who looked upon Peter after his fall and by that look severed him from the crowd and brought him to weeping and to restoration, still looks with eyes of love upon those who have fallen and wandered. Peter was down, but he was soon up again, not by his own strength, but because Jesus had prayed for him and sought his restoration. What was true for Peter remains true, that the Redeemer is mighty to restore.

There is also a ministry of reconciliation that belongs to God Himself. He is the God of peace and has prepared everything necessary for perfect reconciliation through Jesus Christ, who reconciles us to Himself not imputing our trespasses unto us. If you have not already done so, look first to that reconciliation with God through faith in Jesus Christ alone, for He alone is the way of salvation and the fountain of all true peace in the home. Apart from Him we have no hope of lasting healing.

We will pray for you, and we urge you to continue in prayer, not only for a miracle of restored communication, but for hearts made soft and humble before God. Pray that the Lord would subdue anger and make it give way to meekness, that He would grant you both repentance where you have sinned against one another, and a willingness to forgive as Christ has forgiven you. Pray also for wisdom for how to care well for your child in this season, that he may be sheltered from strife and see in his parents a love that reflects Christ's love to His spouse, a love that is particular, faithful, and self giving.

Seek godly counsel without delay. Bring a faithful pastor or mature believers into this burden, that you may have help toward honest conversation, toward confession and forgiveness, and toward a path of either true restoration in one home under God or, if he remains unwilling, of walking faithfully before the Lord in your present trial. Do not pursue reconciliation by pressure or endless pleading alone, but by steady prayer, by holiness of life, and by inviting your husband, as the Lord gives opportunity, to meet with you before God and before witnesses who can speak the word of reconciliation plainly.

Let us pray together.

O Lord God, who hast ordained marriage and hast shown in Christ's love to His Church what that love should be, have mercy upon this wounded home. Blot out transgressions according to thy tender mercies. Look upon this wife in her brokenness and this husband in his anger, and look upon their child. Thou didst restore Peter with a look and with prayer, restore, we beseech Thee, what has been broken here so far as it may be for thy glory. Soften hard hearts, turn away wrath, grant repentance and forgiveness, and make these two to be of one mind and one flesh again in holy love. Where there has been sin, bring confession. Where there has been hurt, bring healing. And above all, reconcile each heart to Thyself through Jesus Christ thy Son, that whatever Thou dost ordain, they may find peace with Thee and strength to walk in thy ways. Work this at once by the power of the Holy Spirit, and let thy will be done. In the name of Jesus our only hope, Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily in His Word, to cast your care upon Him, and to walk in faithfulness and purity before Him while you wait upon His answer.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your heartbreak has been heard, and thank you for sharing so honestly about the pain of this separation. To love your husband so deeply and to long for restoration after a volatile and painful year, only to experience silence and distance for two months, is a heavy burden to carry. It is understandable that daily life feels overwhelming right now, and that you grieve both the fighting that led to moving out and the hurt you never intended to cause.

We want to pray with you and to remind you of what Scripture teaches about marriage. Marriage is a bond ordained by God, honorable and pure, meant to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. It is not to be taken lightly, and God calls husband and wife to follow peace with all people and to live in holiness, keeping the marriage pure and guarding it from what would defile it. There is hope when one member of the marriage seeks God faithfully, and God can use that faithful love to draw the other toward healing, though restoration also requires the willing heart of both.

We will pray for a miracle of healing and reconciliation according to God's will, and for wisdom for you in this painful waiting.

Father in heaven, we come to you through Jesus Christ alone, who is our only hope and salvation. You see this sister in her brokenness, her love for her husband, her sorrow over the separation, and her desire to do what is right. Lord, have mercy and draw near to her as the one who is close to the brokenhearted. Soften her husband's heart where there is anger, and calm what is volatile. Grant them both repentance where it is needed, humility, and a willingness to listen. Open a door for honest, peaceful communication at the right time, and give wisdom for how to care well for their child in this season, that the child would be protected and loved. Help her to live with chasteness, gravity and orderliness in this difficult time, to pursue peace and holiness, and to trust you day by day even when life feels impossible. Provide godly counsel around her, through her church and reverent men and women who can walk with her, and guide every next step by your Word. We ask for your will to be done in this marriage, for healing if it is possible, and for your sustaining grace whatever the outcome. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Please continue to seek the Lord in prayer and in Scripture, and seek wise pastoral care in your local church for ongoing counsel and support. Do not pursue communication through pressure, but commit your husband and your marriage to God, asking Him to work in both hearts. Guard your own heart with prayer, with fellowship, and with practical care for yourself and your child, and allow trusted believers to help bear this burden with you. We will continue to pray for you, for your husband, and for your child, that God would bring peace, clarity, and whatever good He intends for your future.

Your pain and longing come through so clearly, and God sees the heaviness you are carrying right now. Loving someone so deeply while feeling cut off and unable to talk, especially when a child is involved, is a very hard place to live. It is understandable that daily life feels overwhelming.

God's design for marriage is that two people become one. It is a compound unity, two lives joined together to be one flesh, a picture that reflects His own nature as one. That is why separation hurts so profoundly. It tears at that oneness. Your desire to see that bond healed and made whole is a good and right desire, and God honors a heart that wants to work toward restoration rather than just walking away.

You described volatility, fighting, and now a pattern of push and pull followed by silence and anger. Scripture shows that Jesus Himself knew anger, but it was an anger mingled with grief over hardness of heart. When He looked at those whose hearts were hard, He was grieved because that hardness kept people from receiving the help and touch of God. Anger that hardens the heart does not lead toward healing. It keeps both people from experiencing what God wants to do. Your husband's anger and his withdrawal point to a hardened place that needs softening, and that softening is something only God can do. At the same time, God also wants to work in your own heart to bring His peace, wisdom, and healing where you have been hurt.

Moving out to stop the fighting is an understandable hope, but distance alone does not bring closeness. Closeness comes when hearts are softened, when there is honesty, repentance, forgiveness, and a willingness to deal with the root issues that made the relationship volatile. A miracle is not just a change in circumstances, but a change in hearts.

I encourage you to keep bringing this to the Lord in prayer, asking Him first for His will and His healing in both of you. Pray that He would soften what has become hard, that He would lift the anger that is blocking communication, and that He would make a way for honest and safe conversation in His timing. Because children are involved and because there has been volatility, seek wise and godly counsel from a trusted pastor or biblical counselor who can walk with you personally, help you set healthy boundaries, and help you discern how to pursue reconciliation in a way that is safe and honors God.

Praying for you now, that God would meet you in this brokenness, give you strength for each day, comfort your heart, guard your child, and work in your husband's heart. May the Lord grant repentance where it is needed, forgiveness where there has been hurt, and a restoration that is built on truth and grace. May He give you wisdom to know the next right step, and may you know His nearness even in the waiting. In Jesus' name, amen.
