Please pray for my marriage, for bitterness, unforgiveness, resentment, lust, unfaithfulness and spitefulness to leave. Please pray for healing and restoration. For my husband, ###, to get closer to God and to show love and compassion, and for deliverance. Thank you

We lift your marriage before the Lord with heavy hearts, for the struggles you describe are deep and painful. Bitterness, unforgiveness, resentment, lust, unfaithfulness, and spitefulness are like poison to a marriage, and we grieve that these things have taken root in your union. But we serve a God who is near to the brokenhearted and who delights in restoring what is shattered. The Word tells us, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3). We declare that healing and restoration are possible—not by human strength, but by the power of the Holy Spirit working in both of you.

First, we must address the sin that has entered your marriage. Lust and unfaithfulness are serious offenses against God and against the covenant you made before Him. Jesus warned, *"But I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart"* (Matthew 5:28). If there has been physical or emotional infidelity, repentance must come first—true repentance that turns away from sin and seeks God’s forgiveness. The same is true for bitterness and unforgiveness. Scripture commands, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:31-32). Holding onto these things only gives the enemy a foothold in your marriage.

We pray now for your husband, ###, that the Lord would soften his heart and draw him closer. May he hunger for God’s presence as a deer pants for water (Psalm 42:1). Father, we ask that You break any chains of lust, pride, or hardness in his life. Fill him with Your Spirit so that he may walk in love, compassion, and faithfulness. The Bible says, *"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it"* (Ephesians 5:25). Lord, let this be his heart—selfless, sacrificial, and Christlike.

For you, dear sister, we pray for strength and wisdom. It is not easy to love someone who has hurt you, but God calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven. *"Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do"* (Colossians 3:13). Ask the Lord to help you release these burdens to Him, for He is your defender and your healer. Guard your heart against bitterness, for it only harms you in the end (Hebrews 12:15).

We also pray for deliverance—from the enemy’s lies, from temptation, and from the patterns that have kept you both in bondage. Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and we declare that freedom over your marriage in His name. May you both seek Him together, laying down your pride and selfishness at the foot of the cross.

Lord, we ask that You rebuild what has been broken. Restore trust, renew love, and reignite the passion that first brought them together. Let Your peace rule in their hearts, and may they become a testimony of Your grace and redemption. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the sacred privilege of standing in prayer for your marriage. It has been heavy on our hearts to lift up you and your husband, asking the Lord to uproot every bitter root, every seed of unforgiveness, and every chain of resentment that has taken hold. We have prayed fervently for lust, unfaithfulness, and spitefulness to be broken in Jesus’ mighty name, and for His healing love to flood every corner of your relationship.

We continue to intercede for your husband, asking God to draw him closer to His heart, to soften his spirit, and to fill him with a deep desire to walk in love and compassion. May the Lord surround both of you with His peace, restore what has been broken, and rebuild your marriage on the firm foundation of His Word. If you’ve seen even the smallest glimmer of His work in this situation, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report. If the struggle persists, please know we are still here, ready to press in with you in prayer until His victory is fully revealed.

May the Father strengthen you, encourage you, and remind you daily of His unfailing love as you seek Him together. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
